    i think the new legend squall fits perfectly in the fire list. you can set him up with multiple pings to different forwards. it lets your hand size down, give him haste and them attack for a potential board wipe.
    also as someone already mentioned, Ewen is a great fit. i run him with Opus 11 Zack and backup Diana as a mini synergy.
    also love that you put Chadley in this list.

      I had someone suggest the Zack. It's really good if you can discard one of the Waltzes with it for 5k ping they can't respond to :)

    One of my favorite techs I've seen in Waltz is Ewen. There's a fair number of times where your opponent has a small forward and a big forward (think Cyan + Tenzen). Waltz 3 can't hit the big forward but if you pitch another Waltz, kill the small forward outright, then ping the big forward, Ewen immediately comes in on cleanup which is fantastic value - it's hard to not trade up into that scenario.
    Staying on Lightning, I've been more than impressed with the new Reynn and Lann as well - not sure they find a home in here but if you're teching hard for Twins with Thunder Drake, there's so many valuable things they do - Lann is both an offensive and defensive powerhouse by dulling a forward every attack step and Reynn can enable Vivi's pings to go off a lot faster than your opponent might expect. They're also just big - 9k for 3CP is great value as long as you have the monster in the bin. So much potential for so many cards in the set - I genuinely don't think we've seen even half of what the set has to offer. :)

      Oh, one summon that I think might rotate back into meta to consider - 3 CP Opus 6 Ramuh. Atomos is everywhere, 7k ping is so nice. And for 3 CP, Ramuh says "kill a Rosa and Atomos for 1 cast" which has to be worth considering, especially with Terra to sneak the summon back into the hand as needed.

      @@GhoulSRL I've always liked that summon so it would be sweet to see it return.

    I appreciate these lists, as I’m trying to collect data on the Waltz lists so I can fine tune my own eventual version. Off hand for improvements in either list that would make it a little more consistent, the new Puppetmaster forward can trade dead summons or backups for the appropriate Black Mage you want or for things like Seymour or Aldore Emperor. Ovjang is a backup I’d consider as a singleton for the Fire/Lightning build to at least retrieve a Black Waltz 3 when you absolutely need the extra. Just a couple thoughts after looking through a few more lists.

      I originally had Ovjang in there but I swapped it out for Crowe since I found, on occasion, I'd draw it early with no appropriate number forward to recur. I preferred Crowe's ability to get it back at will.

    What about using Meeth? Meeth can fetch you BW3 and also trigger the discard effect of another BW if I'm not mistaken?

    • @rudrose_entertainment
      @rudrose_entertainment  Před 2 lety

      Yep you are right, but if the discard ping doesn't kill a forward it's meaningless. So unless you are holding Meeth til later in the game or they went aggro with a 4k body, that won't do much when you cast it early. The line is there but it seems very inconsistent to me if you are trying to use the ping with it.

    Have you tried the 3cp Cloud back up. Might be able to fit it in? It's a 5k ping to combo with, it can get back a Zack which i saw in the comments if you play or a Roche and can search for another black Waltz? Pretty decent versatility.

      @rudrose_entertainment  Před 2 lety

      Yeah I can see his potential although it will have to line up with his entry trigger.

  • @Chunka666

    My first and main issue is the curve of the deck, it seems really expensive and slow to make a good start, getting to 3/4 backups early seems really important for the deck without burning all your resources, there is a lot of recursion available in the BW decks but I'm not sure this would be consistent. Maybe its just a flaw of BW deck design overall?
    I've tried to make a BW deck a few times and it just seems off curve all the time.

    • @gamerscommand4442
      @gamerscommand4442 Před 2 lety

      Disagree. IF your opponent is not ok with a gentlemans game of building backups, then you drop a Black Watlz and start killing their aggro forwards. This deck has a great middle game. I think if anything I wish there were things to fight against Mist Dragon in these colors.

    • @rudrose_entertainment
      @rudrose_entertainment  Před 2 lety

      I've found it curves out like any normal deck without backup searchers. You are going to have to hope you draw into your natural stuff. But other then decks running Norschtalen or Sara that's a pretty standard affair. You could always throw in Dominion Legionary.

    • @Chunka666
      @Chunka666 Před 2 lety

      @@rudrose_entertainment it was hard to put what I meant into words. It's more like there doesn't seem to be any standalone general value. I'm sure once the deck gets rolling it's great. But all the cards are very reactive. And no solid turn 1s if you come up short. That's my only concern with BW decks, if a BW sticks around its amazing though

    • @rudrose_entertainment
      @rudrose_entertainment  Před 2 lety

      @@Chunka666 Absolutely. The element combination is pretty reactive in general, one reason I like Gessho so much. That's the risk of playing certain decks. Some of them are just going to struggle if they don't see the right stuff.

    Can you showcase a deck using Zeid?
