PS: unfortunately updates will be on hold for a while until I can acquire an editor because I've been struggling with copyright issues so trying to figure out a way around the situation.

    Small scattered notes:
    - during the conversation between Ko Moon-young, the head doctor of the clinic Oh Ji-wang and the head nurse Park Haeng-ja, the figure of Hua Tuo is mentioned when Haeng-ja says that they will be able to reduce Moon-young's father's symptoms . Hua Tuo is practically considered the father of Chinese medicine, who lived between 140 and 208 AD, the first to use anesthesia in surgery in China. Various stories and legends are attributed to him, in practice he has become a mythical figure. Simply put, the doctor simply cited it as a reinforcement to express the impossibility that they could actually do anything to mitigate Moon-young's father's symptoms.
    - yes, you got it right, it's Kwak Dong-yeon who played Jang Han-seo in the drama Vincenzo. It is interesting to note that both in Vincenza and in this drama, as well as in the drama Queen of Tears, currently on air, and if we want also in Big Mouth in the role of Jerry, Kwak Dong-yeon tends to always play the character that is considered by everyone as an idiot, but who turns out to have a good heart, almost as if he specialized in this type of characterization. As I already mentioned a couple of videos ago, Queen of Tears is the drama that marked Kim Soo-yeon's return to the screens, where Kwak Dong-yeon, as mentioned, is part of the permanent cast.
Personally I don't find any particular similarities with Hotel Del Luna, despite certain Tim Burton-style gothic atmospheres and a caustic protagonist, who however is very different from the character of Man-wol played by IU, who was more impertinent and annoyed, while Moon-young is caustic, at times even very unpleasant for those around her, even though she is certainly impertinent. In any case, I meant that, obviously speaking from personal opinion, I do not associate the two dramas. Furthermore, obviously, the supernatural component, let's call it that, rather well directed, is only a manifestation of the psychic disturbances that Moon-young is experiencing. We already know from the first episode that the figure of her mother, even more than her father, is the main cause of the way she grew up and the obvious personality disorder she has. It will be very interesting to find out more about her, also because I have the feeling that, like all childhood traumas, she might remember things differently from how they actually happened.
Furthermore, speaking of similarities, I seem to have already written it, I find this drama much more similar to Daily Dose of Sunshine which, removing the character of Moon-young, both explore the mental disorders that the various characters are afflicted with, giving us very intense stories that affect the viewer, as well as raising awareness, as far as possible, on these issues.
It's true, actress Kim Mi-kyung almost always plays the protagonist's mother. In addition to Death's Game, in the last year she did it in the beautiful Welcome to Samdal-ri, Doctor Cha, Tell Me That You Love Me and Knight Flower (she was actually her mother-in-law here).
Speaking of the head doctor Oh Ji-wang, I find it very funny that he too is an over the top character, almost as crazy as his patients, perhaps a way to relate to them by treating them as equals and not with detachment.
I'm almost halfway through the drama and each episode is a continuous surprise, everything is well taken care of from the acting to the staging with funny ideas (when you get to the story of Bluebeard, please don't cut the skit after the previews, because it's wonderful); Speaking of which, I hope you saw the scene after the previews of this third episode, which shows nudist patient Kwon Gi-do's wild drinking night "from another point of view", so to speak.
Thanks for the reaction, I'm glad you found a way to publish it, even if the pattern covering the box with the episode inside was hurting my eyes at a certain point, but I understand it was necessary.
