    newly purchased and pretty disappointed you have to manually do the transitions... defeats the purpose of a 'drum' pedal, thought it would replace a backing track. send support an email regarding when the auto play feature to play the whole song is coming out... and ya the install & config is a mess and confusing and disjointed....

    The support person called me today, had a good conversation, he understood that the auto play missing is what others want. They are working on it. If they add it I will be buying it again. I've had my eyes on their Aeros Looper which is pretty highly rated and has some integration with Beat Buddy.

    Bought the BeatBuddy instead of the mini so I can load songs to the pedal. But man, it's super complicated to load the song, and I'm pretty tech savvy. I worked in electronic engineering. Wish you could just drag and drop!

    Guys this is a Great Product but software it’s not even close to be user friendly at all. Sounds good and fun to play but once you start using the editor is a long path. Thanks for bringing this product and hope you can fix this so we can enjoy all the great things you can do with the Beat Buddy.

    I saw a Beat Buddy today and it sounded great, started researching to purchase one. Thanks for being honest enough about how disjointed an difficult the developers have made this process. Difficult enough to not go through with buying one after seeing it. Great idea but It "should" be simple, like the DEFAULT on the pedal is start song and it plays right through. I have enough going on on my pedal board at the same time to also have to start a new section of song. Fix these and I'll buy one.

    Dear Singular Sound, you are leaving money on the table! The Premium Library songs should play (if the user chooses) in their entirety, from start to finish with the ability to add stuff as desired. I just want to plug in my guitar, choose a song and play. I don't want to remember or learn when to change parts, just want to play. Seems like a natural progression with the product development. And BTW I totally agree with everyone else who has commented negatively concerning the difficulty in downloading Premium content, why does it need to be so frustrating and time consuming? it seems as though you have had this problem for some time and have not adequately address the issue. Obviously, these issues are costing you sales, leaving money on the table......... Just the opinion of a customer that bought the 2023 Collection from your Premium Library, last weekend.. Thanks!

    What an absolute nightmare! Could this be any more counter intuitive? I've spent two days trying to get a Beatbuddy sng file onto my SD card. When I got my invoice, its actually said to just drag and drop the downloaded song to my SD. However, the download doesn't actually include an sng file, just a collection of song parts in a folder, with no instructions on where to save it, or how to connect the parts. One Beatbuddy going on to eBay - it's just a very expensive rhythm pedal.

    • @Gorangrooves
      @Gorangrooves Před 3 lety

      Sorry about your frustration. There is a new software in the works coming out soon, which will simplify the process significantly.
      I would like to clarify a couple of things you mentioned in your comment and try to set the record straight.
      You didn't get an actual invoice. You should have received two emails. The first is the order confirmation which specifies what you purchased, along with helpful links to the "how-to" videos (such as this one). Nowhere in there does it claim you can just drag and drop individual song files onto your SD card. I think the email you are referring to is the 2nd email which is not an invoice or order details, but rather information on available upgrade to the Complete Collection package. "Drag and drop" is listed as one of the features of the collection, since it is a full project and doesn't need software to load. It seems to me that perhaps you glanced over the email and "drag and drop" caught your eye, so you were under the impression that is what is applicable to your purchased items.
      All individual song packages contain SNG files, as well as the relevant MIDI files in a separate folder. You only need the SNG file to load into your project, which has all parts integrated into it. You do not need to connect individual midi files. They are there only for users who want to manipulate the original beats and fills. To import the songs you need the BeatBuddy Manager software.
      As I mentioned above, the new software will make everything very intuitive, simple, and confusion-free. We are in the final testing stages.
      If you need help with loading your content, please reach out to Jay at support@singularsound.com. If you have questions regarding the content, you can reach me at library@singularsound.com. We are here to help.
      Thank you.

      I have been researching the Beat Buddy as a possible drum machine purchase. However, the attraction has been the ability to purchase individual song beats for well-known tunes since we do a lot of cover material. However, I’m a musician that wants to play music, not spend an inordinate amount of time doing downloads, file transfers, updating software, etc. Until Singular commits the resources to unscrew and simplify these processes, Beat Buddy is nit a purchase I’m willing to make.

    I'm thinking about downloading the Ludwig Drum set and a dozen or so individual songs, but this really seems like a lot of work. Too bad they can't develop something that reduces all the steps involved. And having read all the previous comments, I think Ill take a pass till a better method comes along. I'm somewhat technical but not so sure I want to devote hours figuring this out.

    Very disappointed, bought the BB and a number of premium songs before I realised that the BB has no option to just play the song. Sultans of swing for instance has something like 20 transitions plus fills.These have to be controlled manually by stepping on the pedal and the duration makes a difference. In order to use premium songs you have learn where all the transitions are and practice stepping on the pedal at the correct time for the correct duration. Given this is a guitar pedal and you probably have other things going on it’s too complicated, I have a helix on the floor and I’m singing, this is just too much to concentrate on in a covers band. I’m literally shocked that playing a song from start to finish wasn’t in the MVP. My day job is a software developer and I just can’t imagine releasing this without such a basic feature. I keep hoping they will add a basic play whole song feature but after searching online it seems this has been asked for many years ago and doesn’t look like it’s coming anytime soon. Such a shame as it sounds really good !
