I'm Dutch and Arcade is going crazy here and I'm glad we won, but I find myself enjoying Italy's performance way more, damn what a good somg they habe

I don't know If I'm the only one but I prefer the studio version of soldi better than the live performance. I guess I didn't like it as much.
Cess Kane, I feel like this is a song where timing is so important because of all the little stops. And the studio was super tight where the live performance was looser, so it sounded messier
I really loved how his live vocals sounded but the studio version had a stronger effect

For me, the choreography makes the live version. I especially love the dudes moves backwards in the choruses, they fit so well to the words!
I disagree about Israel & Spain, but totally agree about Italy, Australia, Denmark & Norway (my winner) !

Finally, someone said it. Unique doesn’t necessarily mean art/good. Throwing a frying pan down the stairs and recording the sounds it makes is definitely unique, but not to qualify for the grand final.

Happy to see Slovenia so high here, they are my winner this year. (my real winner was MARUV, but things just happened)
Armenia (the studio version and the mv) is my second place. But the live performance was a letdown for me, Srbuk sounded out of breath from the second she started to sing and the song itself has just few rests, making it even harder to sing. And maybe they didn't have any dancer so Srbuk could focus on singing, but the stage felt really empty.
Romania is actually my third place. I love the bass, the mythical sound, the ey-ey-ey, and the sound she made in the end of the song, I like the intensity and the feeling of it.
Iceland is kinda good
Iceland is like Marmite. You either love it or hate it lol.

Ι still think that Norway's song is really common for eurovision. I didn't believe that it would even qualify. I thought that kind of songs were dead for eurovision and unfortunately I was wrong. Anyway. Thank you for what you said about Greece. I agree with the most of these!

If you make an opinionated video and people massively disagree with it, then yeah, you get dislikes. Don't give your opinion if you can't handle the people that are going to disagree. I'm mostly surprised by all the people who are saying that we somehow can't point out flaws and inconsistencies in the ranking. If we all always agreed and stroked each others dicks these videos would have no meaning.

I just have no idea what happened to Armenia. I absolutely adored that song. That song was in my top 5 and it didnt even manage to qualify. I guess someone had to be the "switzerland". Maybe she didnt lobby the voters enough. Maybe she didnt get in front of the camera enough in the goofy pre eurovision videos. But I love love loved it.
I also had Sergey much higher, but I loved the song for the same reasons you put. Sergey is a god among Eurovision men. His voice is just so precise, his performances are just so spot on and different and they just command attention. Now if I can just get my duet with Duncan and Sergey my life would be complete with these two very handsome men.
For me, Miki was infectious. The stage show though... to me, it lost the meaning of La Venda. It went from a celebration across a country into a... house party. The song, to me was a rebellious anthem of being shown the truth and how the world can be a better place once you learn the truth (maybe that's the meaning, maybe not, but that was its meaning to me) and it was reduced, not elevated by its stage performance. It needed a lot more on the stage. I dunno maybe a blindfold??? Maybe Spain since they were hosting football, maybe they didnt want to also have to sport for potentially hosting Eurovision as well? Maybe they saw the other strong performers and thought they didnt have a chance so they sent a weak stage show? I dunno, for me, the song is not getting out of my head. La venda ya cayoooooooooooo!

My comments about the songs, not in any particular order (apart from alphabetical order)
Albania: Even though i didn't understand a single word I loved the song. Great effort from Jonida, even more surprising that she had a sore throat during her performance.
Armenia: I personally loved this song. So smooth and catchy. I still don't quite understand why it didn't qualify for the grand final.
Australia: One of my favourites this year. The chorus kills it completely (I meant kills it in a good way). The only issue I have with this song is that the staging and the song itself are very similar to Estonia's song last year.
Austria: While the song itself is not that bad, it's very disappointing compared to Austria's song last year.
Azerbaijan: I realize many people love this song, but even though I quite like it too, I think it's a little bit overrated. I think people got too fascinated with the staging and the chorus.
Belarus: Ok when I first heard this song I thought that it was one of the songs that didn't stand out at all, but know that I listen to it more frequently, the song started growing on me. I am just amazed that Zena is so charismatic and so comfortable in front of a huge audience being only 16 years old.
Belgium: The song itself is not bad, but it's chorus is so slow and calm for an ESC song. Surely not a winner entry here from Belgium.
Croatia: The song is not bad, but the lyrics and the staging need serious improvement.
Cyprus: I love this. Awesome chorus, I can't stop playing this song on replay (see what I did there?). The issue here is that this song is basically a worse version of Fuego.
Czech Republic: Very catchy indeed. What can I say? Perfect ESC song, loved their interaction with the audience. 2nd best Czech Republic entry of all time IMO after Lie to Me.
Denmark: This song is not for me, too childish. Big let down from Higher Ground last year.
Estonia: Good song, just not original at all, as it is basically inspired by Avicii's songs.
Finland: Decent song, but I gotta say that I expected more from the creator of Sandstorm. Also the chorus gets very repetitive.
France: Great song, just a little bit overrated. Still prefer Requiem (France's 2017 entry) to this.
Georgia: Possibly my least favourite song this year. I see this as a failed rock song.
Germany: I loved this song, so beautiful and catchy at some times. Definitely didn't deserve 0 points from the public vote.
Greece: I love Katerine's voice it matches the song and the staging perfectly. Good song indeed.
Hungary: Another entry from Joci Papai. Very similar to Origo, which I quite liked. Definitely deserved to qualify.
Iceland: Talk about standing out. This is what Georgia's song should have been. Best Rock song in Eurovision in a long time.
Ireland: Cool song and staging. Definitely gives me 70's vibes. I prefer Ireland's last year entry though.
Israel: Another of my least favourites. This song is just him screaming and moving himself to tears.
Italy: There we go Mahmood. Tied with Norway for my favourite song this year. What else do I need to say?
Latvia: Meh
Lithuania: Even though not many people like this song, I find it very interesting. Great entry from Lithuania no doubt.
Malta: Very nice electro pop song. Great work from Michela.
Moldova: Awesome song, awesome lyrics, poor staging.
Montenegro: Exactly what everyone else thinks, doesn't stand out at all.
North Macedonia: Don't get me wrong the song is good, but I never thought this would rank so high up in the jury vote.
Norway: Pure Perfection. Best Norwegian song and one of the best ESC songs of all time.
Poland: Not my type of song at all. Too tradicional for an ESC entry.
Portugal: My country. So I gotta admit I hated it when this song won our national final. It's not as beautiful as our last year entry, but if it got to the final it would probably rank higher because it stands out the most.
Romania: Once again Meh.
Russia: Beautiful song, perfect staging. Winner entry here from Russia.
San Marino: While the tune may be catchy, Serhat's voice doesn't match the song at all, adding to the fact that he clearly doesn't know how to sing.
Serbia: I love the contrast of the beautiful galaxy appearing in the back during her performance and her Wonder Woman like appearance. Great work.
Slovenia: Good song,very relaxing tune. I just find it odd when the boy starts doing weird things with his neck, clearly enjoying the song more than anyone else.
Spain: LA VENDA YAKAYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
Sweden: Awesome song, awesome chorus. Just very similar to Austria's entry last year.
Switzerland: Best Swiss entry ever.
The Netherlands: When I first heard it it didn't stand out too much, but now that it won, I am quite happy as the song is truly beautiful.
UK: The song is not new and it doesn't stand out at all, but I love the energy that Michael gives to the song.

She had SUCH an Amy Winehouse vibe to her!!! I think her stage show though didnt really showcase her vocals as much as they could. Maybe like with most who travel to eurovision, she had travel flu? Because the theme was cute, the song was adorable, and I think it deserved more than it got

Finally someone who appreciates Srbuk! Armenia was always in my Top 5 songs from this year, I was sad that the performance fell so flat in the first semi-finale and she didn't sound that great. I still enjoy the sudio version very much

I am Lithuanian, I love JURIJUS and the song, but that was kinda harsh. Thats ok tho. My fav entry of ours is definitely When we`re old. And I agree on almost all of your comments. The thing that was weird, was we should have technically been in the final in the place of Leonora ( I love her song so much definitely my top 10) but Italy messed up their points. So we were 1 point off the final. Still all good tho, gotta love John. My top 3:

1. Italy, I`ve been in love with this song since it won Italy`s national esc and my friend who used to live in Lithuania, and know lives in Italy translated all the lyrics of it.
Z Hopes I’m sorry for Jurijus (but also happy since I loved Denmark). But people make mistakes unfortunately. Not much to do about it. I think EBU only intervenes when cheating is suspected. Here it seems to clearly be a mistake :)
Swedish juror Lina Hedlund did the same, meaning Austria that ”should” be last passed Ireland. Sad for that, but as I said... people make mistakes. It’s human.

nice to see someone hwo I agree so much with, both the list and the comment, there are a few differencies but all in all we have almost the same music taste, and thank you so much for the 7 place to Denmark. there have been a lot off hate for the danish song among the fans of eurovision, and it is really not deserved, it is a happy and cute song, and I am so happy that she was placed 12 in the final, she really deserved that, and my 3 winners was the Netherland, Italy and norway i really love those three songs.

Slovenia being 3rd is a great choice! In my top it isn’t top 5, but it most definitely in the top 10! Norway moved up in my top from 5th to 2nd because of the live performance. Definitely an amazing top!

Okay, I really disliked Portugal’s song at first, and started hating it more and more every time its fans got aggressive and bullied me around because of my taste. However, I can’t deny that I respect it.. As being someone who interpreted art many times before I can easily say that the song and the performance itself have a real deep artistic story even though the context presented complexly in today’s eurovision.. 🤷♀️I suppose that’s why people found it weird and it failed to qualify.
Delilah Wayne I would also call ”Telemoveis” art. But that is because I think music as a whole is an art-form. It is so condoscending putting Portugal on some form of an artistic piedestal :)

I think Italy’s achievement got snowed under a bit because of the way the points were announced. I liked how it stayed exciting till the last vote (unless you were holding a calculator), but it now feels like it was between Sweden and the Netherlands. So I’m happy you’re elevating Mahmood here.
I love the love towards Denmark's song, it is definitely in my top 5, it is too lovely. It's not my country, but I absolutely love the songs they had recently(especially last years), and I really wish it was higher. I love that it was multi-language and had Danish in it. I wish more of the Nordic countries sang in their language instead of English all the time, which is one reason I really liked Iceland's this year. Anyways I definitely agree with your #1 spot, Italy was my favorite this year and was last year as well. They just know how to pick great artists and songs.

Why do so many people downvote a video just because they don't agree with the ranking? There were some positions I didn't agree with either but your commentary still made sense to me.
I appreciate your comments. Most of the people just place numbers with any more explanations. I may disagree with Ireland (apparently the singer had a teeth removed) and Spain (I am Spaniard and still wonder what the staging was), but totally agree with Norway and Italy. Pity juries had their typical attack of musical purism.
I loved Italy, liked the Netherlands and Sweden. Nobody mentions North Macedonia as one of their favourites so I guess we can see that the jury is all about political stuff now.
