I don't think Ayn is speaking with the conviction that she had when she said that any business that hires anyone for reasons other than that person is the most qualified for the job does themselves a disservice. When a large successful company sells a product below cost in order to drive a smaller competitor out of business, that is anti-competitive that is not addressed by the free market. That is what Ayn would call a looter.
