Arun Bhai u forgot to mention that the main reason to root phones in the past was to install latest Android version through custom roms. This was bcoz many companies in the past didn't give timely OS updates which we get these days. This was the most primary reason to root actually

Bro rooting does not only allows customisation.
By rooting we can tweak the kernel by which we get more performance more battery life and also you get more than 100 features like call recording , changing Boot animation etc.
And also it is NOT compulsary to have a rooted device before installing a custom rom. Only you need to unlock the bootloader to install a custom rom . And custom rom also isn't installed only for UI or customisation but also for better performance, battery life, smooth experience. And lastly unlocking the bootloader is only recommended to those users whose warranty is expired and there phone starts giving them problem after severe updates. 👍

Brick chances are rare and depend on user if he do not follow the procedure correctly.
rooting do not limit to some theming customization, there is whole lot of modules, custom roms and amazing stuff. specially for midrange ohone custom rom can revive it
I have been rooting phone since 2014 and have done this for multiple user across different brands like Samsung, LG, Oneplus etc..the most important thing to note is that you should have the stock rom file to flash it back to factory setting else you may end up with Soft bricking which can be fixed

Been Rooting for Years now, Rooting has changed very much now, Magisk is the Systemless Root way, so hard bricking the device is less common now.

First of all no official updates, UI became very slow, No app is staying in the RAM, and ultimately it became laggy like hell. but as for the features it has like 6GB ram which is not even useful now and resources are not being properly utilized. So which kind of solution would you suggest for this situation? Should we root our mobile for better performance? or any tweaks to improve performance? I remember I had samsung s6312 which had 4gb internal storage with free 1gb space. I Had rooted the phone to increase my internal storage (swap) using memory card. I had installed Gta 3 in that phone which was huge success for me back than. Now rooting is little bit risky if especially if you are doing banking transaction with it.

I rooted my poco f1 last year because the performance of my poco went down after software updates, so i rooted it and my poco f1 turns into beast. Gaming was on another level. As u said u will learn lot things about android systems and all, so i learned lot many things from rooting. Many people still use poco f1 with custom roms, many brands tend to reduce performance of updates by updates so that we can buy their new handsets, very cheap strategy. Thanks to customization we can overcome that. That was the main reason i rooted my device

@@tronixop2805 well first i unlocked the bootloader(data will be erased so take a backup first), then i installed the custom recovery(i installed twrp recovery) and then lastly i installed magisk through twrp recovery and installed the app

You can leverage several other benefits such as system-wide ad blocking, system-wide data/app backups, debloating, over-clock, and multiple other tweaks by rooting your device. Though I agree with the fact, that phones now are very capable on their own.
