- In this video Paul and James tackle James's Studio Pedal Board build. this is the first video in a short series where we start with Fuzz pedals an EQ Pedal and a Wah. Fuzz pedals are really picky about where they come in the signal chain but not is all as it seems.
The Studio Rats are core band members Paul Drew on guitar/production/mixing, drummer James Ivey and Dan Hawkins on bass. They collaborate with singers and musicians to produce radio-ready songs. - Hudba
SUPER helpful for me. Explanations plus ‘experiments’. Perfect! Tx.
Appreciate you guys . About to get me a good fuzz here soon so doing some research on em.
The first set up there sounds the best and the same signal chain that I use in spite of every video and forum telling me to put fuzz first. I’ve been using that same first set up for years with my Supro Fuzz and it sounds great and far better than any other signal chain I’ve tried. My conscience is clear now that I’m not doing anything wrong. Great video lads, thanks. Subscribed now 👍
Love that you're still rocking the old Morley wah. With a buffered pedal, order does matter. You can buy a flip-flopper pedal that will let you change order with a footswitch. I run 2 Keeley fuzzes (Fuzz Head and Electric Mudd) before a Dunlop Wah and then into all drive pedals.
Great video, this! Nice to experiment, isn’t it! Thanks, guys.
Cheers Doug
Very useful demo
Cheers
And indeed pokery !!! 😂 Fn classic mate ! 🧑🎤🎶🧔🎸🎶🕺
Problem case... I use NS1X NOISE SUPPRESSION as a pedal loop, using BOSS FZ2W plus NOBELS ODR1 AND BOSS PB2W BOOSTER. Can I use BOSS TU3W TUNER BEFORE OR AFTER THIS LOOP? If before should I disengage its buffer?
What if you put the EQ in the FX loop?
ps. love the Carry on Film style interlude music!
The tunner doesn’t have a buffer?
Love fuzz pedals! I’m constantly moving around the order, before and after Wah, turning on and off the buffer on the BOSS TU-3w tuner, etc. I’ll probably never settle on one setup.
Get a buffered wah (buffered when on) and go guitar ->buffered wah -> Fuzz Face -> eq -> Big Muff. That way you can retain the dynamics of the Fuzz Face.
I use a vintage Crybaby Fuzz Wah…. First in line✨🎵✨
Where the sun don’t shine! LOL!
Ya know that morley has a buffer too
Where is ‘that side’ of wah ? 🤔🤨
No Muff to Tuff!
😂
And what about the bathtub?😆
Finally some fuzz!😂👏🏻👏🏻
Buffer before the fuzz and you’re guitar volume doesn’t clean it up
Well, Hendrix used a fuzz before the wah pedal.
no he didn’t
Just take eq out
I thought the whole point of the Polytune was the built-in buffer.
Fuzz belongs in your navel, not on your board :). Best Regards!
Fuzz is for hippies.
far-out. the only interesting part of this was the "dynamics" with your best friend's, sister's wife's, ex-husband. LOL
ummm i don't know if you mentioned pick-up resistance or not; you can clip old effects with pup's...
i don't know, i wasn't listening... you should have mentioned it.
okay, good-luck! byeeeee
In the bin! I hate fuzz! As much as I love your playing Paul even you can’t make me like the sound of fuzz!
Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Gary Clark Jr., Dan Auerbach, Jack White, Josh Homme, Carlos Santana, David Gilmour. . . Should I keep going? They all use fuzz. They use it a lot.
@@PabloMars99 you can keep going all you want. I assume you like the sound of fuzz. I don’t.
In the bin with you, you hobgoblin!
@@DavidStockdenwhy don’t you like it?
