    I think that besides the obvious fact that many people died when Titanic sank, the fact that this beautiful ship rests in pitch black darkness is the saddest part. At least the Britannic has some light coming in every day to "bring to life" the majestic ship she once was but the Titanic wreck site is so scary and sad laying in the bottom of the Atlantic.

    • @OneProudBBC
      @OneProudBBC Před 5 lety +25

      But the Titanic is home to deeper fishes with bioluminescence and lots of deep sea mini "octopuses" with some amphipods (but the ones that swim in considerably shallower waters compared to the more common ones which is at least double of Titanic's depth).

      @lefty two guns It's doubtfull if she's still strong, as some expect the wreckage will be all gone in about 15 to 20 years. Even the strongest metal will eventually disolve in salty water.. And the ship has been down there for over 100 years... If we could i definetly think we should have resqued the Titanic. But i guess it's to late. It will probably fall into pieces if we'd try and lift it now.

      I agree. There's just something about a once proud ship now wasting away at the bottom of the cold ocean in pitch black darkness... It invokes such a depressing sense of isolation and loneliness... The fact that she has never seen the light of day in over 100 years, and most likely never will...

    • @the_rover1

      I imagine and anticipate it was a far more terrible way to die when trapped inside the stern part of ship at its final plunge and imploding compared to pass out in the freezing water on water surface level. the icy water might numb your pain, and your death fight might take up to 10-15 minutes, however, it seems most have passed out into inconciousness just half way through.
      on the other hand, being sucked into the depths of the ocean beneath, increasing water and air pressure (air pockets) on the way down, tearing your lungs, organs and eyes apart, ripping your ear drums, seems far more terrible and agonizing to me. if you were lucky, the implosion of the stern might has knocked you out for good.
      I don't assume that anybody was still alive 1 mile down, which will have taken roughly 2-3 minutes. however, I believe lots of bodies were conserved for a few months, or even years, and slowly have been consumed by bacteria and deep sea organisms.

    • @Mrst3lios89
      @Mrst3lios89 Před 11 měsíci +2

      I don’t think the ship imploded because it was already filled with water when it sank. Implosion would be caused by a huge difference in pressure so there would have to be pockets of air inside as it was sinking but this was not the case. The people would have most likely drowned in the first couple of minutes because the poor fellows would be in a state of panic and would not consider to hold their breath or anything as they were quickly consumed by the sea. They wouldn’t have experienced all the catastrophic effects to their bodies so they most likely experienced drowning which is still a horrific death ofc.

    I’ve been watching videos of abandoned buildings on youtube and it never fails to make me sad, and what happened to the titanic is just more heart breaking, from it’s tragic voyage, the story of every soul that died that faithful night, and how she remains at the bottom of the ocean, slowly decaying in the dark and the fact that even now, with our current technology, there is no way of saving it. It’s just so sad and with what just happen to the titan. May all the souls that perished in this waters rest in peace.

    • @loggerboy2379
      @loggerboy2379 Před 2 lety +33

      They would've died quickly as well, if not quicker. Water would've been rushing in due to the suction of water into the ship while it sank downwards after it went under. If they managed to be in a room that hadn't flood yet, the water pressure would eventually have water violently spraying in the cracks and implode the room easily, also knowing the fact that some brittle No.3 iron rivets were used there's no question it'd happen quickly. Not quite submersible standards.
      It would've taken 5-10 minutes for the ship to reach the Atlantic floor. So within that time, the person either normally drowned or dry drowned with their body being squeezed like a yogurt tube

      the rusticles are well underway contain bacteria that live of iron, and create ironoxide and that sets the motion for further rusting and more iron eating bacteria... who knew before these actually existed? apart from exotic microbiology experts maybe they didn't even knew but there are fish so there must be oxygen or do fish simply with their gill seperate the oxygen from H2O ---> H2 + O then no wonder it's rusting they said there no oxygen but water contain per molecule one oxygen atom.... isn't Oxygen an elemenyt that must be in pairs like Hydrogen H2 and O2 (i know it's supossed to be a small 2 at the bottom right of the letter) seriously though, before titanic is completely vanished it will take 500years, and within 5decades the front will be unrecognizable well preserved at it was the stern the broke up, had implosions the engine room, generator and steam tanks were pretty wattertight with the hatches closed, so when the stern sank at an incredible rate and started spinning it was implosion after explosion, not to mention the front whose boiler also had some pressure in the damaged the compartments as she fell to the bottom , now if you would explore the stern what's best preserved are the engines themselves or atleast teir mount, any so heavy instead of a 30knot fall the stern rotated in all axae but from the angle of attack speed in which the heavy stern fell was 60knots, and that's allot, and so much air was still trapped until the water pressure imploded it to shreds

    Essa foi a melhor expedição ao Titanic que já vi aqui no CZcams! Muito triste a solidão desse lugar, fico imaginando a vida dessas pessoas. A escadaria desse RMS não possui vestígios, só um grande buraco. Acho que foi o naufrágio mais profundo de uma embarcação. Feliz por essas imagens!

    The workers had no idea what they were building. They said it's going to be the best ship, the biggest, the most luxurious, they put a lot of effort in it, they wanted it to be an extraordinary ship. They had no idea that their wish would come true. They made an immortal ship. "Men make their own history, but they do not make it as they choose"

    This is what I think is happening, the lost souls who perished when Titanic sank still run around the decks of the majestic ship that is 2/12 miles in the deep North Atlantic ocean on an endless journey on the Titanic....so sad.....R.I.P TITANIC and those who died...😥
    This wreckage is history frozen in time on a repeated cycle.

    Always been fascinated with the Titanic for years, she was such an elegant, beautiful ship. Very eerie some of these pictures of her and her interior, and so very sad many lost their lives that night. Must have been absolutely terrifying. Rip to all those who perished.

    The Titanic is so gorgeous and magnificent. This footage of the titanic is fascinating and exceedingly sad. It was the most horrifying and terrifying time for everyone on board. I am so deeply deeply saddened for the people who lost their lives. One minute they are enjoying their voyage and in the next either passing away or trying to get to safety in the life boats.
    It is magnificent how most of the things on the boat such as beds and parts of the ship is still in tact

    Es la primera vez que me queda claro qué es cada cosa y dónde estaba cada cosa. Con otras cámaras de diversos documentales uno no sabe en qué parte del barco esta. Es fantástico. Lo veré muchas veces porque me fascina su historia. Me impresionó la primera toma de frente y estacionado en su terreno, hasta se me puso la piel de gallina, como quien dice. Conserva su elegancia aún de muerto; lo sigo viendo bello a pesar del óxido y la maldita bacteria que lo consume. Es increíble como a muchos nos fascina su historia por lo que conlleva un naufragio y por todas las vidas que se llevó: familias enteras, lo que hace que lo consideremos un «barco macabro». Pero el es la vedette del mar, es el naufragio más atrapante que existe (no por nada J. Cameron tiene fascinación por este barco). Un iceberg, explosiones provocadas por el carbon desde adentro, el pésimo material con el que fue fabricado, un capitán que no escucho órdenes, un atentado para asesinar a los banqueros norteamericanos que no estaban conformes con la creación de la Reserva Federal o hasta una momia egipcia como pasajera que llevó su maldición, alguna de estas versiones dejaron a este mastodonte descansando ahí. Leo comentarios que dicen que esta en un lugar muy oscuro y sí, esta en una verdadera tumba. Se dice que este es el Olympic, según inscripciones que se descubrieron. Olympic o Titanic, no sé cuál de los dos será pero aquí esta... gracias a este enorme trabajo.
