Did you lift yesterday?!? 😁
1st in EST and nope, planet fitness closed early and we didnt' realized. literally exported the video looked out at the parking lot and it was empty! dm me on insta plz
Just did
@@BodanzaDiscGolf Wait a second, that guy isn't me 🤔
@@BodanzaDiscGolf goddam i love your transparency haha so relatable. love the content, happy training this off season
@@jayluuphee6703 thanks Jay! And yeah, Daniel P. I gotchu!
So sad to hear that people don’t watch the bodanza battles. They are my fave vids on the channel, honestly.
Thanks Luke! It makes a bit of sense to me from an audience perspective, and I hope to continue them at some point, just not for now! :)
@@BodanzaDiscGolf I just love seeing random amateur people from the dg community get featured. Helps me gauge my skill set. It’s also fun to see how well you get along with certain people and how badly you destroy some people.
I too like the battles
@@yourfriendlukejackson I agree. The one where they did doubles and we're down and the one guy hit an insane Ace to keep it close was so fun.
Battles are great! I don’t watch ones that have like weird challenges in them. Maybe it’s just me but I enjoy just competitive disc golf. Perhaps try a few of those battles and see how they perform? I really enjoy the tournament break down videos you have as well!
Hey man, I hope you’re doing okay mentally, living out of that van can’t be easy and I hope you’re able to keep tabs on that part of things. 2 videos a day is super ambitious, but I’d rather watch your posts for the next 10 years than have you burn out because you’re posting too much. You’re doing plenty for us already, make sure you take care of yourself.
Bro I actually love this channel, you seem like a really genuine dude and you love disc golf. I can feel your enthusiasm for the game in all of your videos. Also, great quality video and audio as well as editing.
I appreciate that!
You are grinding so hard, I respect it so much! Very excited to watch you grow into a disc golf power house on CZcams - I know it’s coming!!
Thanks for all the great content you are putting out.
Love your channel and your bang it or bin it videos. Great to see how discs compare to others and seeing you play an actual round rather than just throwing it in an open field. There's some great courses around Peoria IL if you're ever in the area for a round
I really like the development of your channel and videos! You are really trying to figure it out in the details and recording your thought process though it all which is really helpful for us. It will be interesting to follow your journey and progress.
I’ve really enjoyed following you the last couple of months. Looking forward to seeing the steps you take next year towards touring. It’ll be a grind but I think you’ll find the joy in the process. Keep grinding, bro!
I’ve been loving your videos!! Keep it up!!!
Great tips, looking forward to trying them all!
I love the Bodanza Battles!!! Those are some of my favorite videos!
Coming back to this video to say that the backhand grip might be the best advice I’ve ever heard after implementing it in my last round. I’m instantly throwing farther and discs that were pretty stable for me before are flying much straighter. Cant wait to get back to the field this week and work on it even more.
Yes. We need tips from you. Your quick improvement is crazy
When throwing approach shots recently they were all being release early. This last round I through a couple way left and then I remembered your comment about always using the power grip and realized I was using fan grip like I do for putting. Switched to power grip and parked the next up shot! The smallest things can make a difference. Thx and keep on grinding!
Hey bro, hope you lifted yesterday! Loving the content and I am using your tips in my field work too!
Great tip about the forehand stance! -- And damn nice throw with the backhand snap grip!
It’s insane that after watching your coaching video and applying those forehand tips he gave you, my form and release improved dramatically.
Thanks for the putting tip bro!
Keep following your passion
im excited for the merch and vlogmas LETS GOOOO
I have been watching your vids since I started disc golf 3 or so months ago. I actually bought pures early on by accident as putters, then found out a month or so into playing that you put with pures. I was like "Yes, I am the master now." lol
Looking forward to trying these techniques.
Thank you for this.
The pinching of the index finger made me able to throw my wraith somewhat properly, and my Valkyrie properly. I've up till now only been able to throw my river somewhat devent.
This technique has added the remaining spin on the disc. Thanks again!
Just stumbled on your channel. Great journey to watch! I just got the same advice at Hardaway Point about the single finger snap!! Total game changer! I'm actually creating some turn on backhands! I'm rooting for you on some PT events!! Come play our courses here in Charlotte!!
Nice, condensed video with tips for us people with baby hands! :D All the grip stuff totally makes sense - Will try it out asap!
you post so much content I cant keep up haha! I really enjoy your reviews they're to the point and you usually pit them against other similar offerings
love the videos keep it up!
I really like the battles, they're fun and entertaining.
incredibly helpful.
This is great information👍
Love your contents!
These are great tips! You earned a subscriber!
300ft forehand is great! And you can be more accurate when facing the target. I'm hoping to be able to get my forehand down for next season.
I like your 45* angle starting point instead of facing square to the target line.
The putting tip is more accurate right away!!
Now got to get to the field.
Thanks for Vlogging!
Loving the content..sub. Gotta try this grip tip you taught here..thanks
you should do a review of the MVP fission wave
Thanks for the BH tip. Made it easy to Hyzerflip at lunch. Now I need to try with mids and fairways. Trying you FH tip as well. I am not much of a FH thrower so it will take time.
Dude you're the only disc golf creator that i can watch even doing casual round stuff. This is due to your editing (gap/target highlights) and your enthusiasm. Keep it up. Love the tips though. Such a big audience for people learning.
new favorite channel
love some of your post adds
good stuff,ty
I've asked 100s of people. Watched countless tutorials. All I want is more spin. I have the build and the power but the spin is so important and I could never seem to generate it. I thought it was a timing issue. Your advice of "loading up the front finger" is the key I needed to unlock 500. Thank you so much.
Also, I feel you on the hands thing man. I'm a really big dude, but I don't have big hands. I power grip everything too, because about half the time I try to fan grip, the disc kind of leaks out of my hand before the release and it makes the throw go awry
Great video! Earned a subscriber, hope to see you on the Pro Tour someday!
Bonanza battles are the bees knees. Also you are steadily becoming my favorite disc golf CZcamsr! You are going to blow up!
This video really popped off!
I subscribed to you maybe 5 days ago... I gotta make sure I'm here before your channel blows up. Keep up the great vids!
thank you!!
Recently started watching your vids. I noticed we have very similar backhand form. I had a realization the other day that I throw significantly harder on spike hyzers because my upper body stays behind my hips and you don’t get that step through on the throw. I’m trying to figure out a way to incorporate that into fixing my form for distance.
Also with the forehand the biggest help for me was when I was watching a big jerm practice round and he quietly told himself to keep his elbow in after a wayward throw. Now I can wind up the disc as far back as I can reach and I focus on bringing my elbow through as close to my hip as possible it really straightened out the flight and I gained tons of distance.
Hope this helps. If you’re ever up in Oregon I’ll be an asset for ya
Sweet Votum (clear ethos)
Concentrate on transferring your weight during the 25-35 foot putts from your feet through your release so you're not using your arm for more power and allowing potential mistakes in form in. Also, I've found that lowering my follow through a little allowed me to put more spin on the putt without adding power/inaccuracy. So go from your belt buckle (or lower) to your chest, not your eyes. This also helps me aim via squaring my shoulders and using my chest to center the path the disc flight will take.
How in the world did you get that orbit grace with the 'old' KT wolf stamp?! I absolutely love that! I hope it's a new release because I'd love to get my hands on those. Awesome video too, I'm going to do some field work using your tips for sure!
Killer video. What camera set-up do you use?
Grip and timing and that arm angle I think is key on 400+flick shots. Jeremy Koling was who I watched originally, but body type counts I think due to body mechanics.
Welcome to the panhandle! Keep grinding you’re killing it! ❤
Thanks Rob! I'll be back for the tourney on the 10th caddying for a buddy. I think I saw you were playing open there! Hope to see you then!
@@BodanzaDiscGolf indeed I will be! Hoping to get back into the swing of things after starting this new position at work. Fingers crossed it’s a another beautiful day!
You should come to huntsville, AL. Got a bunch of good courses here. uah, indian creek, brahan springs, mastin lake are all great courses
I use the power grip alot less. I have long fingers so the fan grip feels so much more natural.
Does the "Pfff" sound effect help with putting accuracy as well? Keep up the great content!
One thing that helped me with putting was reverse engineering every putt. Start with your hand and disc where you want to finish and then curl your wrist and bring your arm down from there and then just hit the rewind button.
Not sure if you lifted today but I’m working out right now and watching this
I have been doing the same thing with my grip lately which helps distance but I notice I am more prone to grip lock
new here, love the content. Had to check my playback speed though, you talk super fast. I'm here for it though! keep it up.
Off the field strength training is a great idea. Make sure to focus on full body training. Not just arms or legs or back or chest or abs. Get a solid routine. Athlean-X on CZcams is a great source. Good luck my friend. Keep up the good work.
I'm trying to work I getting more distance on my drives, I avg around 330 to 360. I don't think I'm getting enough spin on the disc and I'm wondering if you curl you rest to grip it whip at the end
Dude you are almost in my backyard! Welcome to the south! Fairhope is not far from the Admiral which I think you’d like, it’s a great course.
planning on playing admiral and municipal here soon!
@@BodanzaDiscGolf nice! I think you’ll like both of them. I’m 20 minutes from municipal, I got started playing there and IG Levy in Pascagoula.
bro I used chalk first time yesterday and that shit added SO much power to my shots. I never realized 90% of my shots were slightly slipping out by the time I snapped
You will eventually go to a fan grip on putter 70% upshot distance because it's more control. I use my putter grip with a meteor. But I mainly 4 hand 250. I use to straddle now I stagger a little and shift weight. I look like Rickys old putt
Man if your around mobile, southern Ms, or Slidell area I would love to meet and play. I love the videos
I'll be in the area a few days. I'm going to be recording a bunch of reviews soon, but I'd love to throw some with you if you'd like. DM me on instagram
Are you coming to Atlanta? And if so do you have plans?
What do you think of Grip enhancers for more Snap like DGMaxWax? I struggle in the winter with dry hands and use it to get some friction generated.
never tried them so I can't really say. I personally am a little averse to using them, but might test them out for a video!
Did you get that lift and putting practice in?
So when you grip the disc are you only applying pressure with the base of your thumb (palm)? Just the thumb bad tip? Are you pulling the disc inward to your hand? I'm still a bit lost on how people exactly apply their grip pressure on the disc... Whether its downward on the disc or inward (to the palm)
Did you lift yesterday??? Good luck going mpo!
Are you still in fairhope? Are you swinging by Biloxi, an hour west of there? We have a really nice 27 hole course here called Hiller Park.
I might check it out! I'm in fairhope now and not 100% sure of the plans! If you wanna potentially show me around if I make it that way DM me on insta
It’s my home park as well! Nice!
Lifting has benefited me so much when it comes to disc golf. My primary sport is baseball so I'm lifting 4-5 days every week and it translates very well to disc golf. It's allowed me to gain a lot of distance and so far I have avoided any injuries. I think implementing a serious lifting schedule is a very smart thing for you to do because of your Pro Tour aspirations. I wouldn't be surprised if in the next few years the majority of pro disc golfers are consistently in the gym.
totally agree!
Did you left yesterday and did you practice backhand today?
I’d love to see flexibility exercises specifically targeted to disc golf. I don’t know if you know of anywhere I could find that
czcams.com/video/jjyp3VeC_Ws/video.html I gotcha fam. I just saw this yesterday, so it was fresh in my watch history.
My project 100 is learning how to shoot under 100 over 18 holes next time I play disc golf.
Good content. I subbed. Try to maybe slow down a little when talking
My hands are small too. I do same.
I hate to say it, but the more disc golf content you make that involves skilled, consistent, athletic players, the more people will watch. If you chose a good way to screen Bodanza Battle participants for people around your skill level I think the audience would generally be more interested in those videos
Did you lift yesterday? 💪
So did you lift today? And what did you focus on?
Did you lift yesterday??
Yo bodanza in Alabama I’m in Sylacauga there is a 9 hole course here owned by a pro just played with him today should come on by and battle us.
that would be cool but htat's really far from where we're gonna be!
@@BodanzaDiscGolf it’s cool if you ever pass through offer stands
did you lift yesterday?
Did you lift yesterday?
DID YOU LIFT YESTERDAY?
I know I'm late 😔 Happy New year!
Did you putt or lift???!!!
Will there be a putting portion of project 100?
yep! one of the big parts is doing 100 putts a day average over the offseason, so 700 a week!
@@BodanzaDiscGolf when you do 100 putts a day are you just repping them out to build muscle memory or 100 of just going through your whole putting routine?
@@ForehandDiscReviews a bit of both. Probably most are just reps to get the muscle memory in built. but one of my favorite ways to do it is to have 3-4 drives on a hole and then make 2-4 putts from each of them That way through a course, I do about 100 putts and htey're on different baskets in different locations and have more that are a full routine
@@BodanzaDiscGolf nice I have to do my 100 in the backyard because most the time I play it isn’t practice rounds they are like weeklies or doubles so I have to get my reps in at home
Did u lift yesterday????
You lift yesterday?
Did you lift?
One correction more spin does not mean more turn, it is the opposite. More spin means more gyro and less turn (also less fade for that matter).
Normally more "snap" usually means a bit more grip lock/late release on a bit more anhyzer.
makes sense maybe I misspoke but I think I was saying it will hold the turn more because it will have the spin to stay on turn, not turn more, but hold tighter lines better
Did you lift yesterday?? ❤
Living in a van, try swimming. Good total body work out and shower afterwards all in one. Did you lift today?
Don't forget to eat.
Also it's such a shame how they messed up the Fairhope course.
yeah it's definitely a big mess right now! Kinda funny though bc one of the reviews I'm filming is for doomsday discs so it's kinda apropriate that it looks so apocalyptic lol
First view
HEY GUY DID U LIFT
Count how many words were said here.. 😂
100,000,000
dang! right on a whole number! solid! I’d have thought it was like 998743263
It's today. Did you lift yet?
I'm not trying to troll...I just find that you talk really, really fast. I started watching your videos on 0.75x and find it comes out better. Not sure if this helps any of your other viewers. Like the videos
Did you lift today?
...did ya bloody lift yesterday, mate?
