    There are 20 to 25 Dynasties in Chinese history, and it takes 26 hours for a teacher to teach two Dynasties.

    Good work! The music is too loud though! You didn’t show any ruins of the Qin Great Wall. Aren’t there any in Lintao or elsewhere in Gansu or Shaanxi?

    The Han Dynasty did not extend the Qin Dynasty Wall.The Han built new separate and completely new Walls further north of the Qin Dynasty Walls.
    The Ming did not reconstruct the GW! The Ming built new walls but also built using rammed earth and stones.

    • @learnchinesenow
      @learnchinesenow  Před rokem +3

      Hi, I think that is just linguistics. The Han did extend the wall system to the west, maybe not literally building onto a structure, but I would still say you can use the word “extend” to describe that. As for the Ming wall, some of it does follow the path of previous walls, some of it particularly the part north east of Beijing is in a new position. Maybe we could have explained it clearer. Ben.

    • @loneranger9376
      @loneranger9376 Před rokem

      @@learnchinesenow Understood Ben and thanks for your clarification. Such is the complexity of the Great Wall system that even the Chinese still do not fully comprehend it to this day. Contrary to someone's comment, it is much much more than a Wall. Indeed, the Ming Wall does follow the paths of earlier dynasty walls, in fact, there are sections whereby there are 5-6 walls in front of the Ming Wall, separated by only less than 80 metres. Some sections in the north east of Beijing is built on top of the Northern Qi Wall but not in great lengths. One therefore has to understand the rationality for building new walls rather than repairing and reusing older walls. One factor would be the border as most dynasties had a different border, for example, the Ming shrank much further south than the Han, hence the different location of the Walls. Peace.

    秦朝不是第一個帝國,漢人五千年歷史中並沒有建立任何帝國,依歷史記載,不要歪曲的講,秦朝是周朝改朝換代,換了最高統治者,是同一國土,是同一民族,周朝分封的諸候(相當歐洲的貴族)之間,在他們的最高統治者,周王室統治力量衰弱,但仍被承認時,互相攻伐及併吞,最後諸侯國秦國在即將併吞全部諸候國時,滅自己的王室,改替朝代,再創造皇帝一詞,自封皇帝.其實他們在王室仍在的後期就已由原本的諸侯稱號譖稱王,雖仍承認王室的地位,到了京城面見周王時又自稱諸侯,出了京城又譖稱王.這些諸侯及併吞周王室天下的秦朝並沒有向外佔領殖民地建立跨民族跨國家的,西方定義下的所謂帝國.

      南越之地可不是周分封的,是秦用武力攻取的,还有秦从匈奴手中夺取了河套之地,这都不算扩张吗。
