You know thinking about it the use of Luigi's Mansion for Cryus and Tressa's spirit battle either reference Yvon's family estate or Morlock
's mansion, both of which where levels with rather dark undertones.
Ohh that is right, I forgot about the Morlock's Mansion!
Both Trials of Mana and Octopath Traveler recently have spirits now. Square give Final Fantasy more representation
It is a shame that Final Fantasy has gotten little to no love. In addition it has been reported Cloud almost didn't make it into Ultimate. I don't really know the deal with Square and FF in Smash.

Well, come christmas 2020, and we finally get Final Fantasy spirits. I mean, I’m surprised Castlevania has more base game spirits than Cloud

I have one. Or actually i have two.
If Persona 5 Royal had a Spirit event (ROYAL SPOILERS):
1. *Kasumi Yoshizawa*
*Inkling (school outfit) would be Kasumi. She starts the battle with a baseball bat, referencing her Rank 5 Confidant event.
*She is joined by the default Wii Fit Trainer, referencing her gymnastics Coach, Hiraguchi.
*Stage: Wii Fit Studio (referencing her gymnastics training area).
*Music: Super Hoop (without Joker DLC) / Beneath the Mask (with Joker DLC)
2. *Violet*
*Bayonetta (default B1 outfit). She does gymnastic type moves and wears mostly black with red accents like Violet. She also wears glasses like Kasumi's sister Sumire. She has a killing edge, referencing Kasumi's baton weapons.
*Big female Corrin (black outfit) represents her Persona, Cendrillon.
*Stage: Saffron City (resembles Maruki's Palace)
*Music: Theme of Tara (without Joker DLC) / Last Surprise (with Joker DLC)
3. *Takuto Maruki*
*Dr. Mario because he is a doctor, like Maruki. He would wear his yellow outfit, referencing Maruki's gold battle armor.
*Once Dr. Mario is defeated, a giant yellow Mewtwo will, referencing Maruki's ultimate Persona Adam Kadmon.
*The enemy (Mewtwo) has increased strength at the cost of defense. References Adam Kadmon lowering his defense during his giant punches.
*Stamina Battle
*Stage: Fourside - Resembles the city of Maruki's Palace during the Adam Kadmon boss fight.
*Music: The Grand Finale (no Joker DLC) / Our Beginning (Joker DLC)
4. *Jose*
*Lemmy Koopa is Jose, since they are both small kids who ride in cars. Lemmy is chosen because he is canonically the smallest Koopaling.
*He starts the battle with Lip's Stick, referencing how the player must collect flowers for him in Mementos
*Stage: Saffron City (No Joker DLC; references Maruki's Palace, where Jose is fought) / Mementos (with Joker DLC; references how he is mostly seen in Mementos)
*Music: Fight On! (No Joker DLC) / Rivers in the Desert (Joker DLC; his boss theme)

Its rare how i disagree with the way spirits set up, but I can't turn a blind eye how they set up Olberic and primrose. Bayonetta is dead-on as primrose, but an assist trophy for Olberic? hat Ike was overused or something? Because he would be an ideal fit for Olberic and TO do it like this., its actually worse how they did trials of mana.
I agree with the Olberic being a AT is messed up. Buff Ik would have been perfect honestly.
Maybe the characters are paired up like that because those are the Smash team’s personal ships
What I find weird is that they had to censor Pyra and Mythra but Shantae and Primrose are fine dispute how much skin their showing
My this was quick, i only heard about this event yesterday, i love how we are slowly getting Square Enix spirits for so many of their titles yet they never released any real spirits (other then cloud) for their biggest title Final Fantasy despite it having a character in the base game.
It is frustrating, considering there was packages of noodles with Clouds face on it to advertise FF7 remake, but give Nintendo some jpegs to celebrate the series, nope!
It saddens me how Cloud has the lamest costumes ever aside from his default Advent Children. 😕😒🤦🏻♂️
@@TheNintendoNetwork I know right, they didn't even let them use the summons on Clouds stage! (i can't remember the name right now), i mean they already look like spirits so it would of been so simple to use them and they would be great representatives for the series as a whole.
Sigh a franchise that spawns fifth-teen base game's, and a number of spin off series and yet they couldn't even be bothered to give more then two songs and two cloud spirits.
The songs, from my research, are a bit weird with who owns them and rights and such. Not that it isn't impossible. But the lack of Spirits is inexcusable honestly.
And yet Castlevania somehow got more base content with 30 songs. I know I’m late since Sephiroth added more content, but dang how is it that some of these minoe soirit

I missed this event but my spirit list still only goes up to 1420 instead of 1424.

I know that this isn't related to the franchise and I should've said this is a long time ago but the Crispin Spirit battle is my favorite. Not only does it feature my main Link but it also has food items and I love food. 🧀🍗🥩🍔🍟🍕🌭🌮🌯🍲

I have try to get the Octopath Traveler on the Sprite Bored, but not one of them come up, Yet!
I have try for a month or 2 and I have miss the event, because its did not come up on the Game!
I did get 3 Paper Mario Sprites and the other Events Sprites, but not the Octopath Traveler. Do you know any way to get them?
The Spirit Events only last for 4 or 5 days. Eventually they will be added to the Spirit Board, but Octopath has not yet.

All Spirit Event Spirits do come back into the normal Spirit Rotation after a bit of time.
Sorry to bother you, but is there a way to get them if you missed the event ?
Never a bother, I'm always happy to help. Yes, every Spirit Event eventually does get added to the Spirit Boards normal rotation.
