    Cold! 😀 A cop couldn't be that brutally open today, with there being 200 people filming on their phones and the media on standby waiting to call them psychotic on the front page. Nothing like these shows now. The 2000s were probably the last best. Best now are Law and Order and Chicago PD, and even those put the characters through hell with IA over the slightest incidents.

  • @exposingproxystalkingorgan4164

    Mosca was mocking that kid to dare him to shoot him dead, to avenge his father. The kid would either be shot by his body guards, or get arrested by Crockett and Tubbs, and go to prison. Mosca did not really care about dying as long as he gets to ruin the life of the son too. He knew that ruining the kid's life would also mess with Crockett and Tubbs too.

    MV stretching reality again by having people pointing guns at each other on the courthouse steps IN BROAD DAYLIGHT! Also note actors like Stanley Tucci and Meg Foster who appeared in this episode were some of the most highly sought TV performers at the time, yet they receivled much less attention on a show that regularly guest-casted pop culture stars like James Brown, Miles Davis, Ted Nugent and Frank Zappa in major speaking roles.

    • @justshowit99
      @justshowit99 Před 3 lety +3

    Michael Mann had his actors train with real-life undercover law enforcement officers. Both Jamie Foxx and Colin Farrell observed undercover operations from a safe distance. Farrell was told he'd learned so much, he was welcome to participate in a real sting operation. During the operation (caught on video, excerpts of which are shown in the DVD extra), guns were drawn and the officers identities questioned. Farrell reports being scared for his life. He spontaneously ripped open his shirt to demonstrate he wasn't wearing a wire, an act the agent-in-charge later commended for being realistic, quick-witted improvisation. After suffering anxiety and insomnia that night, Farrell contacted the agent-in-charge and was told that the sting operation was staged, and he was never in any danger. He was to be told the next morning during a debrief.
