The music always set the scenes in Miami Vice so much better than other series. Jan Hammer always knocked it out of the park.
👍
Did you see how smoothly Don cued the actual actress to start her scene touching her shoulder with tip of the beer bottle prop ? classic ! 🎬
Oh, she's working her way through school. Another great line
So she would be swinging randomly until he touched her shoulder. That way, she knows to do one more swing before getting off of it and getting the scene in motion...interesting
Jeff Fahey is such an underrated actor :)
Him and Don Johnson colliding in this episode was so awesome to witness.
Don Johnson doesn't get the credit he deserves either
Don and Jeff kinda look and sound like brothers or half brothers
@@jinoziniosti5633 They both have beautiful eyes, but no relation. They are both very underrated actors
@@lindacollins903 I always said the exact same thing about him, such a fantastic screen presence, should've been as big a star like the likes of Gibson or Willis.
The bartender looks like Randy Tex Cobb, who was in Down for the Count
This was one episode where the actor opposite Johnson was just as cool in presence.
That Asian girl is a hottie ❤. I wonder what her name was or if she did other roles
Tex was taller. This guy isnt much taller than D Johnson.
Brilliant 👍 RIP Daytona ❤
I miss her
Never tire of watching MV !! 😉😊
As much as I am a fan of Jeff Fahey,he shall never be forgiven for his insolence. Daytona-killer
For the record, both Daytonas from the show are still alive and well. 😎
@@retro-dademusic6403 So how they made that car look so real, I mean the one they destroyed? Was that even a real car or a prop?
@@jeshkam I’m not sure on that. I know they had some good miniatures for some other scenes like that. If you look at the trees when the car blows up, they look as if they could be fake trees. Once again, I’m not sure though.
@@retro-dademusic6403 Yeah, I noticed that recently the trees looked weird, still though for a teenager watching that scene on a tiny TV screen in the 1980s it must have been painfully real and a truly traumatic experience... 😉 I'm trying to recall whether they aired this episode here in Poland in 1989. If so, that would explain my panic attacks lol
@@jeshkam it was confirmed that the Daytona destroyed was a miniature model kit.
I really miss this show!!
This music was originally heard in “Florence Italy”, and greatly embellished for this episode. 😎
The music the clothes the feel it was all Miami😎
Beat was also heard in Sunset Grill (Don Henley)
@@fkhan577 Wow! Very similar indeed. 😎
yes sir 80s had the best shows and tunes.
Don Johnson the king of cool. He'll still be cool at 90 ♥️
Lawnmower man again, does not disappoint!
I love this channel ❤️😍😍😍🔝
Classic scene!
Don Johnson and Miami Vice is the best
Thanks, Frank
Jeff fahey looks like he just got off the set of a burt reynolds movie 😄
...and ended up 'Lost'
Jeff Fahey plays the part like he was born for it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sonny would have dominated those guys shooting pool lol
After showing his skills in "The Great Mccarthy", he would later on explain why he was so good in season 5's "Bad Timing".
Who’s says I didn’t
Car murderer!
most badass sequence in MV
one of the best tv shows eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeever:-))
Fahey's eyes!! Didn't think anyone could hold a candle to DJ.
You are absolutely right! How did they find so many actors with beautiful eyes? PMT has beautiful eyes too. In addition to his eyes, Don Johnson has those dimples! I want to know how he makes his eyes look so dead during the amnesia, Sonny Burnett arc?
He has the coolest eyes I've ever seen. The government should subsidize people like him to have as many children as possible.
I remember this scene when it aired and wondering who this guy was who matched DJ's cool...
Bravo.Thenks
Damn..now I want a Lowenbrau!!
Do they even make it anymore?
@@jameshughes3241 good question. I never see it in the beer aisle.
Funny you say that i had a few lone star beers 3 years back and i thought they quit making that too those were around in the 80s too lol
@@jameshughes3241 i had some Lone Star years ago in Galveston. Some iconic beers are still being made even though they arent sold nationwide i think..like Stroh's and Olympia
@@briangarrett6510 wow i forgot about those oly pull tabs my dad lilked those
That guy was on Lost!
Jeff Fahey
Ha ha remember she's just working her way through school with her pretty sticky little fingers of course!!!
Another great line
The Daytonas Swan song
intense!
real shit.
Trying to figure our who made Sonny's season 3 jackets?
Good episode
Cool running Jan and Tim...
Awesome
I'm not lookin ta BYEhh mouse ears..Klaiser said that you were the fella ta seehh about toys fer big boys..
This show was like SCARFACE in that it shows the real world.
The start of how Season 3 would illustrate...
@ David Brown Jr. Yes, I agree with you about this 3rd season but you didn't mention the stand out episodes:
El Viejo featuring the outstanding Willie Nelson (He Flat out STEALS the show from the two main stars!)
Theresa featuring Helena Bonham Carter in a very emotional episode from Don Johnson
By Hooker by Crook featuring Don Johnson's Ex Melanie Griffith which Johnson himself directs and has one of the most iconic sex/violence scenes on television (at that time, of course)
Forgive us our Debts featuring Guy Boyd as one of the shows most notorious villains, the slimy Frank Hackman
and of course, one of my favorite episodes of the entire 5 seasons:
Shadow in the Dark where all of the elements (especially Jan Hammer's incredible score) came together to form a thriller about an obsession chasing a cat burglar threatening to go further than simple theft.
the music is way too good in this show !
"bellowed Daytona" - I assume that's supposed to be "beloved"? also I'm curious, what ethnicity is that girl? "Blasian"?
She looks Asian and perhaps Latina, hard to tell with mixed ethnicity I guess.
Oh, I never noticed that. smuggler likes metallica. Look at the t-shirt)))
Bye bye, Daytona... 😪☹️
I miss that car
Any website that streams this?
Just remember that was a fake Daytona.
Whose the actress!!!!!??
😍😈
easily one of the hottest girls on the show. too bad she's only on screen for a few seconds
Yeah, I always wondered too. Maybe she went on to do other bit roles we don't know about. Hottie girl
I am realizing now how much I like my life back then. Young, fit, making bank, banging nubile young coeds, all my dreams were still alive. Now, I am ten minutes older than dirt, playing out the final hand I have been dealt.
Anyone know what kind of jacket Sonny was wearing there?
I actually had a jacket just like that in the 80s. I bought it in Westwood area of Los Angeles. I wore it during my DJ MV wannabe days. It was actually reasonable priced and made of a shiny polyester mix. Nice relaxed material. I wish I still had. It wouldn’t fit anyway 😂
I think Hugo Boss was who they got clothes from. It says at the end credits.
Not a very good actor,is he?At least he can fire a stinger.
ahh yeah...lol
