I love "Candy". there's no reason why she should apologize for it, or feel "ashamed" of it. i understand that she doesn't like it (or that full album) and she had no control over the creative process, but at the end of the day it's a catchy song and it's the song thanks to which many came to know Mandy Moore
Me too, i liked that song remind me olds goods times
I still have the cassingle lol.
I don’t think she had meant the song but rather that artist “Mandy” at that time and age that she was in. We all have our moments when we were teenagers where we cringe at something we did or have done or that aspect of our lives and it could be what she meant :)
I am year older than Mandy Moore and I first heard Candy in 1999 the year it debuted. Even back then I realized that song is suggestive as hell. Though the entirety of the album has got nothing on Jessica Simpson's I Wanna Love You Forever (in terms of sexual innuendo / wording). It is considered a genuine love song, and it is... for the most part. One line (which most people do not hear correctly) is damn near porn: "Pour yourself all over me and I'll cherish every drop here on my knees". o.O
She never bothered to relearn the dialogue of the song because that would require Her to watch Herself. She doesn't remember those words just the lyrics.
She is seriously such a beautiful person inside and out.
Have a good personality to
Without audience it really becomes a talk-show. Just two people talking!
Denis 🤯🤯🤯mic drop this is crazy
Talk shows have audiences. An interview would be closer
a podcast lol
@AR A who knows? if the situation improves it will be with audience.
yes, like a podcast. It didn't have to be a dog and pony show for an audience. Plus Mandy is just so down to earth
To everybody acting like this whole no audience thing is such a refreshing new take, the rest of us have been calling this format a "podcast" for years now.
CL 😂😂😂😂
Difference is this is actually supposed to be an audience show, that’s what makes it special, podcasts are supposed to be no audience no they’re just like this show with an audience, just meh
@@willinton06 That's the point though, people in the comments are appreciating the lack of audience because the conversation starts sounding more real. Imagine the potentially fascinating conversation these two might have if it lasted for an uninterrupted hour.
CL although that makes sense, I personally don’t expect a deep intricate debate coming from this, I want a simple comedy, this is only better than the usual format because of the novelty, it would get pretty old pretty fast
@@willinton06 I think the 6 minute clips and audiences directed to laugh are an antiquated format. People appreciate realism and genuine conversation. The podcast allows for more of that, which is why they've become so popular. I'm not saying this format is overwhelmingly bad but there's a reason why ratings continuously slip.
For some reason having no audience makes this really weird at first but then I forgot about it. Just 2 ppl talking
You are right! Can you imagine "friends" or any other comedy show without the laughter of the audience, though? 🤔
theodora4 but this isn’t a sitcom, it’s a talk show
Max Levine So?
Me too lol
Jimmy Fallon seems less cringey with there being no audience. No fake exaggerated laughing.
Exactly! so far from what I’ve seen all of these late night shows are soooo much better without all the fake laughing and cringey jokes, everybody is more down to earth
@@lintlickers Yeah, agreed. I will say though - all these shows are very very VERY produced. There's a stage producer actively signalling the audience when to laugh and when to stop. I'm sure Fallon has orders from the network heads to amp up the enthusiasm.
@@ClandestineSnowman Yup, it really works that way. I managed to be a member of the audience in a show here in Italy (where I live) and there was this guy who literally almost lost his arms because he had to keep signaling us so desperately 😂 So basically yes, it's all prepared, though I kinda like it anyway 👍🏻
@@lintlickers yeah especially that clip where he plays a game with Kim Kardashian. His overacting was on another level.
I was just getting ready to comment about that. When he's not playing to an audience, he seems much more natural, without all the overblown laughter and body movements. I hate these COVID-19 times, but there HAVE been a few positive things come out of this.
The voice of rupunzel from tangled!!! Love her!!
And that's the reason why I'm here. 😁
She never disappoints. Big-time fan. She has such a beautiful face , body... and mind.
She's always so genuine of being herself, humble, down to earth and beautiful in her own way.
Doesn't matter to me whether audience is there or not I was totally lost in mandy moore 🥰🥰
I always remember her as the dying girl in " a walk to remember".
Does she die, in the end? I don't remember.🤔
@@StefaniaOlla yes
"Including me?"
"Especially you! I don't have any reason to be angry with God."
I’ll always remember it was was late afternoon. It lasted forever & ended so soon
I will always remember her in “Scrubs”
Mandy making amends with her "Candy" past is really comforting because I love that song. It's so nostalgic for me. It's so nice to see her grow as a person and an artist.
What a great scene to show too because it had me bawling. Anything with Kevin and Rebecca has my chest aching from tears.
I love her. She seems so grounded and real. Doesn’t seem to have been damaged by the industry like some others who started out young when she did.
A Walk to Remember will forever be one of my favorite movies!
It's great to see her acting and singing again! ❤❤❤
Trixy P. I watched this Movie more than 50 Times and when I watch „This is Us“ I sometimes forget about the Fact that it’s the same Actress. She’s just so talented.
@@bodyshialdhere6574 I've lost count but same here! 😄 She really is! It's been great to see more of her again 💕
I got one of those candy “cassingles” lol she gave it to me at a Cher concert 😂 way way way back
I dated a girl in the late 90's whose kids went to a private school in Orlando, Florida with Mandy. I didn't know who she was. I picked them up one day and they pointed her out. They told me she did the morning announcements and was very nice.
Richard Binder links?
Nic , Links to what?
Which school? Lake Highland?
I used to be so bummed when she’d apologize for the candy era. I LOVED CANDY!!! Was a part of my childhood.
Vonny Bennett I’m bummed any time any celeb apologizes for something. Someone out there, it’s their favorite thing. Don’t do it.
I listened to mainly metal and rock back then but secretly liked that song and video.....The video takes you back to your teens and makes everything in life seem so peachy and wonderful.
Am I the only one who knows she’s the voice actor of Rapunzel?! I mean it is my all time favourite Disney movie so 😂
Her song CRY is the most spectacular power ballad of the 2000's.
Oh that's a good one! Have you heard gardenia
@@gofightwin99 I am a fan of that one too. Hope she sings it on her new tour.
I was crazy about I wanna be with you back in college😍
@@gofightwin99 is it mandy's song too?
@@arrow1042 yes! Its awesome
I missed the teen Mandy Moore, but I always look forward to the mature Mandy Moore. She's doing well.
Imagine having the voice of a princess… literally..
LOLL
Jimmy: "4 people and the roots."
Super impressive, Jimmy
It's now just a very expensive pod cast.
I love it, no brain dead kids in the crowd laughing every 5 seconds at stuff that’s not funny
@@lintlickers i actually Think its very funny😂
I've followed Mandy since her "Candy" days and I'm glad that she's happy and doing well. She's so sweet and classy.
Same 👌🏻
And it’s so cute to hear her say she carries the 15-year-old version of herself around with her…Awwww 😊❤️🩹
I loved Her in Because I Said So. Totally underrated movie
I love that movie too!!
Voted for Candy SO many times on TRL. Her and Danielle Fishel are just perpetually gorgeous
Agreed to the max!
She ages so gracefully❤️
She hasn’t aged 😍😍😍💜 love her so much!!!!!
I do too - she’s wonderful ⭐️ She’s gorgeous and adorable 🥰 She’s like that angelic breath of fresh air we all need in our lives- we could never ask for “Moore” 😊👍🏻
Her voice is so pleasant
I just watched the original "Candy" video -- and it's STILL awesome.
God the difference between a Jimmy who actually is familiar with his interviewee's work and the Jimmy who isn't is staggering.
I had the biggest crush on her when she came out, i was 16 and to this day i still love her so much, after my wife jajajjajajja
She is such a lovely human being
What a good and candid interview. She seems pure and honest.
I do agree. It is really nice to just see two people talking without having to address an audience.
WHO NEEDS AN AUDIENCE!?!! 😁 This was PERFECT! 👏👏❤😍
AR A laugh about what?? nothing on this show is ever funny, are you a brain dead teenager?
@@lintlickers Excuse me but why are you here then? If you don't like this show just leave, there are people who like it and find it funny without necessarily being brain-dead teenagers
Celeste Massarenti please explain what’s funny about a 40 some year old washed up snl bum fake laughing and awkwardly talking to his guests? I’ll make sure to not hold my breath
@@lintlickers Please explain why you care so much at the point that you watch/comment under his videos 😅 Just go watch something funny according to you instead, why are you wasting your precious time?
Celeste Massarenti Ight man
I always really loved her spirit. She has such a beautiful grace about her. Though she’s obviously matured into a lovely women, she has been able to maintain and purity and authenticity about her. Such a great role model for our young girls. 👍🏽
She ages like a really fine wine
She's... 35?
Lmao ‘aging like fine wine’ is only used when the person is a senior citizen and looking good for their age
Mandy is so beautiful! I love how she never fell into Hollywood bs! Keep it up girl!
So glad she didn't quit acting!! This Is Us is one my favorite shows ever. 💛
I hear Rapunzel. ❤️
same sis 😁
is she the voice?
Yes she is..
That’s her voice lol
Sheila Reyes sheriff callie
SILVER LANDINGS is a beautiful Album. She’s so Talented.
I feel like this is Rebecca’s another life that she didn’t married to Jack and accomplished her careers as a singer.
How she say “I mean” “ Thank you” reminds me of Rebecca and I love it.
she’s always been adorable, so glad she didn’t quit the biz!
That is a really scary thought 💭 I couldn’t have even tried to imagine anyone else as Rebecca Pearson 🥰👌🏻❤️🩹😊
I love Candy. I still listen to it
i love her since 20 years :D she is amazing!!
I’m so glad she has finally taken back being ‘sorry’ for her first album (in particular) because it really bugged me and I felt insulted. I loved that album, it gave her her career and it’s cause of that album I love her now! #noregrets
After all these years I can still hear repunzel in her😍
The claps sounds so funny because it’s like 3 claps 🤣 Weird the difference the audience makes, but glad they are playing it safe.
Eric Andre typ beat
Mandy is back, Jessica is back, Christina is back. Where’s Britney?
LEAVE BRITTANY ALONE!!! LMMFAO
Hopefully at home
Britney never left. That girl works hard.
Losing her mind on Instagram
You rang? 😐
Thank you for taking safety measures seriously by not having an audience! It’s greatly appreciated.
She will always remain my first crush ❤️

Her version of "Can we still be friends" is also cool.
Have a little faith in me ❤️❤️❤️

Vangelis Sopamena an era of pure pop #2000 vibes
Myron Caballero Yeah! Released in 1999... Can hardly believe that’s more than 20 years ago! I feel so fucking OLD! 😭🤣
I love me some Mandy. She's every town's local girl that made it.
She is one of the best actors in the whole world, so amazing at what she does! :)
“See the Light“ is my favorite of hers!
She’s so lovely & her new music is awesome.
I love her so much ♥️♥️♥️♥️
This lady has the most beautiful eyes 😍

I love Mandy Moore so much she’s such a sweet person I hope to meet her one day. She’s sweeter then candy lol
I used to love listening to Mandy Moore singing, and acting growing up. As an adult now, I'm proud and happy to see her acting and singing again!
a Walk to Remember😘😘😘my favorite
She looks amazing!! I missed her!
What it's like when people aren't forced to laugh at Jimmy's 'jokes'.
Mandy, the interviewer that makes us feel confident that they like us is often the one who rejects us. True story.
Still love her old music.
"...You have to promise you won't fall in love with me.."
Whenever I see Mandy, all I see and hear is Rebecca. Love her! The This Is Us writers need to incorporate her singing more.
Love it 😍 thank you for keep going with the show
She is so cute!! I love her in This Is Us!
I’d feel so much calmer without an audience there
I love her sm
She is so beautiful still to this day
You deserved a full room!! 💜
When I hear her voice all I think of is Rapunzel. 😂🤣🥰
Mandy's been my crush ever since childhood ❤️
