A walk to remember....making girls cry WAY before the notebook!
Brandy Workman, I. Agree! My favorite Nicholas Sparks film. Personally, there’s no comparison between the two films. AWTR blows it out of the water. I’ve watched that movie so many damn times I can recite some of the dialogue while watching. The only part I really like in Notebook is the ending because that’s a perfect way to end their story. It’s what everyone hopes for and wishes for themselves. I like that they’re bound up within each other’s souls as soulmates the entire film. But that’s it. Lol.
Actually The Notebook was Nicholas Sparks' first (published) novel. He wrote it in 1994 and it came out in 96, well before AWTR.
@@elizabethgeorge168 yes. I am a HUGE Nicholasville sparks fan and I have all his books,read them multiple times. I never cried until I read Dear John. As a teen girl I watched AWTR over and over. The notebook also doesn't make me cry. Nor does titanic...but AWTR had me writing in my diary about it. Many teen girls at that time related more to that than they did the notebook.
The first book I read where I experienced heartbreak. I was in the 7th grade and I remember staying up late crying as I read it just completely confused by these new feelings I’d not experience before... 7th grade is such a rough age. Hah!
After those two, Sparks novels slowly just got really bad and predictable.
A Walk To Remember still touches me until now. Watched the movie more than 30 times now...and counting.

I remember I borrowed it from a friend and I watched A Walk To Remember with my mom and she got mad at me because I didn’t tell her it was gonna make her cry. haha She went out the next day and bought it so we could watch it again. Later I unfortunately lost her to cancer but I am so blessed I have that memory of her when I watch that movie.

AWTR is one of the best if not the best of Nicholas Sparks movies.
Didi Prescott I’ve never seen it but if it’s a Nicholas Sparks movie then I know it’s good!!! Love his books, and his films are just heart wrenching!
Please do watch it. I think some if not almost all Nicholas Sparks movies have been tweaked and somehow were different from the book. But I prefer the movie version of AWTR than that of the book ;)
‘A walk to remember’ and ‘the notebook’ are always interchangeably fighting for #1 on every single list of best nicholas sparks movies. Personally I prefer ‘ a walk to remember’ but I just think its funny it’s always THOSE TWO, never anything else. 😂

Mandy Moore is an absolute darling - I adore her to no end. One of the few really friendly, genuine, caring celebs out there that are still down to earth.
Many years passed but her movie A walk to remember is an unforgettable movie for me.A movie that made me cry,in love,inspired and can't get over with.
Whenever I’m driving and pass by a street sign that says you are now in so and so town, I always think of A Walk to Remember. Being in two places at once.

I watched the movie "A walk to remember" when I was a teen. I just watched again a few weeks ago and I'm still all teary eyed. It has been years since I watched the movie and I love Mandy Moore so much, growing up listening to her songs "Candy", "I wanna be with you", "Cry", "Only hope", etc. I love all her songs and know all the lyrics to her songs. When I watch the part where she sang "Only hope" in the movie, I was always singing along with her and still get goosebumps till today. The ending song of the movie, "Cry" is something I sing to and imagine having a guy like Landon (Shane West) who is so sweet and caring. The best movie till this date and I kept telling my husband how beautiful that movie is. He have yet to watch the movie. ☺️

I've watched a walk to remember many times. Nicholas sparks wrote the book the movie was based on. I absolutely love that movie. I cried. Nicholas sparks is an amazing writer. The love stories he writes just flabergasts me. A man that can write with such compassion, tenderness and more. Nights in rodanthe is another awesome movie based on nicholas sparks book. Many of his books became amazing movies !!
Anita Hardesty, I really like Message in A Bottle. For me, I used to be so crazy about wanting to read all his books before seeing the films; soon though I realized personally all the stories kinda sound the same or roughly have the same plot so I got bored. But I do enjoy some. The Lucky One book is amazing! The movie was alright. Dear John!! Love that movie!! With Channing Tatum and Amanda Sefried. What’s the one with Miley and Liam?
