- We are back playing the second mini golf course at Par-King Skill Golf in Lincolnshire, IL. The Red course was a ton of fun, but the Black course gets even crazier. This mini golf course features pipes, surprises, and even a working roller coaster than your ball can ride down! We even both manage to get a mini golf hole in one while playing! What do you think? The signs say 2 stroke penalty. That means when you go into the water you add 2 strokes to the one you already hit, so you were on stroke 4 after taking it out of the water.

I’m sure by now this has been discussed ad nauseum, but going into the water on this course is a 2-stroke penalty. I’ll finish watching and see if this made a difference (it didn’t). Thank you, Elisha, for doing a great job showing us where the ball went on the roller coaster on hole 7!!!!! The roller coaster was my favorite, too. This was such fun!

On Hole 3, I thought Brooks got a 4, because it says 2 Stroke Penalty, so it would take 2 strokes to get it back on the course

yup as it's one stroke to pick it up, a second to put it down and then when you hit it it's nr 4 but it seems brooks always counts these things in his favor ;)

The rules don’t apply to Brooks. He even acknowledged the penalty at the beginning.

That Whirligig hole was awesome. If you hit it too hard, it would go all around the yellow half loop thing and fall onto the pink ramp. If you hit it too light, it would fall back into the yellow ramp (where Elisha’s ball went) and if you hit it just right, it’ll end up on some platform in the middle and fall onto the ramp that Brooks’ ball went. Super cool design and well engineered!
Ok favorite ones where 2,3,7 and 18! Again a really cool course and that after all that time! Good job!!

I actually remember playing this course before as a kid, it brings back good (and a lot of bad memories lol) but I do agree the roller coaster is the best hole, also weirdly enough whenever I touch a water trap I want to go swimming after the game lol. Edit: I do remember never being a fan of hole 18 it felt more like it was stealing my 18th hole

They've been playing golf for so long but never get better...i check in every couple of months and say "yup, still don't know how to putt"
I kept thinking about how not good they are at mini golf while watching this, and was pleased to see that I wasn't the only one to have that thought. From what it looked like, they couldn't have been there any more than 20-25 minutes. They were basically running through the course. I don't think they actually enjoy mini golf at this point but found a formula that works for them.
They also act like they have never been to this course before, but they have a separate video of them at this exact course from 2 years ago.

In case anyone is wondering, if you get your ball into the green "0" in roulette, there are alarms and lights that go off. Then a worker comes down and gives you a golden "Par King" coin which can be redeemed for a free round of golf. I got it the first time I went there and I'll be damned if I trade it in for an $8 round of golf. The chances of getting it are so crazy low.

On hole #3 you said you were hitting stroke 3 when you incurred a 2 stroke penalty which means your next stroke is 4 not 3.

Love this course, those balls looked extra bouncy today :D Much prefer this style of editing, I like the scorecard at the top of the screen like that and the chill beats were perfect volume. I don't hate the occasional boing and applause SFX either really, I think it's when it's a voice saying something that it comes across as more of a distraction from the video. Really appreciate the effort you're putting into these, it's good to try something new to keep things fresh :) Hope you both have a great weekend!

@@charlesalexander708 The music I think is a rights thing. they're playing royalty free music over the music at the courses so taht they don't get demonetized for the music. I completely agree on the scores.
Rob explained exactly why the music was how it was for this video. I personally like having the scores not constantly blocking the screen. Nothing is ever set in stone and I’m enjoying experimenting with different ideas 😊
@@BrooksHolt I can tell you as someone who has an issue with repetitive sounds, I cannot deal with the music in the background. Silent is better, IF you're editing with Adobe Premiere throw your audio into Audition and music the in between sounds. I only need to year your conversations.
The music is like nails on the chalkboard . Also the scores on the screen was something I had never seen before. Others don't do it and I miss it when I don't see it. Let us know the scores as you go forward.
I know nothing is in stone and you can do what you want, but with that said your fans like what they like and the choice you have to do is Keep those you have or go after others. You didn't get to 170k subs with all the extra editing and I am seeing a lot of complaints. Do what you want your choice

Brooks and Elisha thanks so much for this course. My favorite holes were the one that you put in the (Tiki's ) mouth. I do wish one of you had hit down the right side. Another favorite was the Roller Coaster, Mount Rushmore, the Turtle , the Elephants, and the final hole the Roulette.
Love the orange cannas...in Phoenix the local nursery has one plant for over $10. Now is flower planting time in the Valley of the Sun.

Hey Brooks, after reading your comments regarding hole 3, I'm supporting your decision on that matter since you're going with what the course owner's said and was agreed on. I know it's a heated debate but what's done is done. Case closed. I liked the layout of all the holes whatsoever. As for your scoreboard overlay, could you add and "Alpha Blend" to the graphic so that your score overlay would be transparent. Maybe that would work for you.

Better! Glad you cut the music. On the Tiki hole there was a clank when the ball came off the bamboo and hit the top of the second tiki that we wouldn't have ben able to hear with the music. And then the splash when the ball fell out of the next hole and into the water. As you like to say "so satisfying!"
I like that you now put the name of the hole, par, and hole number in the graphics. Nice touch. Unlike others I don't care if its on screen the whole time or not.
