it's Crazy for me to say but I'd think this Total Drama Island ReBoot is lacking the Drama and the betrays and alliances in this Total Drama Island ReBoot
Total Drama met its downfall because of excessive network executive meddling starting in year 2008. Teletoon and Cartoon Network’s executives forced so many unwanted alterations that both Fresh TV and the majority of fans hate. *Censorship and the removal of mature humor would be a prominent example of network meddling. *Teletoon and CN forced both Gwent and Duncney into breaking up and created the toxic love triangle that was all a setup; which the creators actually hated. *Network executives flanderized characters and abused them. *CN forced Fresh TV’s staff into making Dramarama which is hated among the fandom. *CN wanted to reboot the series with a new cast of characters instead of picking up from where the original series left off and abandoned the storyline without repairing the damage they caused to it. *Network executives fired Megan Fahlenbock and Brian Froud for stupid reasons because they said they weren’t useful to them.
That's not all. Networks only cared about the big stupid glutinous pig and Mega Jerk. They even made them winners in back-to-back seasons despite that they did nothing useful for their actual teams. More importantly, when Mega Jerk pushed Harold too far, and so he tampered with votes. This way, Mega Jerk started the huge chain reaction that assisted the networks in ruining the entire show. And so, I really want Cartoon Network and Teletoon to be punished for ruining this show (with a little help from Mega Jerk).

I saw this season but, won't get into spoilers too much. I think the problem is the short cast and the short number of episodes they had for the season. Having a cast that's way shorter than the OG cast kind of limits any potential rivalries that could happen with this group. One big example would easily be Axel and Ripper. If both of them were part of a larger cast, we'd easily see a rivalry form with these two for sure. Then again, the other characters don't come across as someone who'd likely be a rival aside from those two so that might be a problem too.

It's because 13 episodes is nowhere near enough for a season. If it was 26 episodes we would get a lot more character development, reward challenges, eliminated players returning, etc. We have none of that with these short seasons. Also that awful Chris voice is really off-putting.

Terrible video. Most of your points don't make any sense and make me question if you ever even watched the original series. When comparing just Island to the reboot, you're flat out incorrect when saying there was drama everywhere and there were multiple alliances when quite literally NO ONE did anything of that kind except for Heather and Duncan for one episode. All the conflicts you mentioned are also Heather related, don't speak about the entire cast causing drama and strategizing when of the 22 only 1 constantly did that, yes Harold also rigged the votings once but that literally contradicted the show's established rules, and not only did Harold not get punished for cheating, it also doesn't go anywhere till the following season. The reboot technically has more alliances and more conflicts between the characters that aren't just the main villain being mean to others. You have Axel vs Ripper, Ripper vs Priya and Millie, Emma vs Chase, Emma vs Bowie, MK vs Nichelle, Millie vs Priya, Julia vs everyone basically, not a whole lot but conflict is still there and so are alliances, like the one between Bowie and Emma that later gets Chase in too, Millie and Priya that will have Julia later, even Scary Girl had a mini alliance with Priya for one episode. Saying the characters feel like they're just there is funny and rich, like what show were you watching when saying the season 1 cast was different in that regard? Again, who strategized aside from Heather and Duncan for one episode only? The characters are also only more developed because they had 26 episodes and a special, plus THREE other seasons too, the reboot only has 13 so the cast doesn't get as much time to develop. Even with that you're completely ignoring how all of them were literally teen stereotypes, they weren't made to be super deep and a lot of the characters you brought up being more interesting than the reboot cast is laughable. Like seriously, Trent? C'mon be serious. Chris is also not different in any way in the reboot than how he was before, he just has a new voice. Chef did get nicer but that was likely to make him more recognicible for the child audience who watched DramaRama and not the original. Your criticism about Bowie is also dumb, because the show purposely made him less strategic after the first ep to develop his friendship with Emma and relationship with Raj, both very important to Bowie's character and the season's narrative. This season puts bigger focus on friendships instead of romances and that's not a bad thing.
