- In this video, we are taking to the streets of Bogota, Colombia to help you better understand street signs in Spanish. When you travel to a Spanish speaking country you might find street signs confusing. This video gives you some examples of what kind of vocabulary you will find on street signs. Some of the Spanish-speaking countries will use different words but for the most part, it will be very similar. This video is in Spanish and has Spanish subtitles. This video is also good as a listening compression exercise. There is a quiz at the end of the video for you to check your understanding.

I did good on this test. Maria is a very clear speaker. Thanks i feel like im getting better.
Your videos are fantastic!! I love just listening to you speak Spanish because I can understand you so well.
I love these ones where you're out and about in Bogota.
100% on the quiz! Yay! Good teacher :-)
Mi favorita es "No toques un trompeta". There should be a sign like this!
I got all correct!!
Super informative! Thank you
Very useful info and well presented!

Thanks, Devin! If you want you can help us by sharing the video.
WhyNotSpanish The videos are very good. The problem is getting people to discover them. Unfortunately I don't know anybody else that is learning Spanish at the moment but I will share where I can.
nicedog1 it's easier to share videos by recommending them in the comments of other Spanish videos for ppl to watch
The format of your lessons ( Maria, greetings ) are what we always needed ! No bs and boring presentations, just real, live and for most important informative stuff. Big respect to you Maria and kisses and hugs (hope your partner won't be jealous 🤣)
With your invaluable help to be able to finally do a normal conversation with Spanish speakers. Gracias y salute 👋
Thank you! That’s awesome! This is an old video and we’ve improved some stuff in the most recent ones. Check them out as well! 🙌
@@WhyNotSpanish I had found your channel just in recent days, subscribed and will be waiting for the new videos. Will go through all the videos, really like your style and effortless way of presenting stuff.

This video is extremely helpful and applicable. You and Cody are the best - thanks so much!!
via was surprisingly my new word from this one. well, domicilio también... great video, thanks
Just adding up some elements which may help with the understanding, in case you are interested: "home delivery" is literally translated as "entrega a domicilio", "domicilio" meaning "home address" and "entrega" meaning "delivery"). Just like in English there is a shorter version, which is "delivery" in Colombia the shorter version is "domicilio".
@@brucetrappleton6984 gracias por esta explicación
Thank you! This video was easier for me than most.
Perfecto.
Very helpful...
These are the best. I got them all right first time. Thanks, Maria.
I did all correctly.good videos.well done Maria.
You guys do a great job with your videos! This one was particularly helpful for me.
Very useful.
Perfecto
Muy útil!
Hello Maria, I have watched a lot of your videos and find them very helpful and interesting. The interactive elements are very useful for me learning Spanish. I also like the fact that you speak relatively slowly and clearly which helps a great deal and means I dont have to keep rewinding the video and playing it again, and again. Its great that your videos have a useful, real-world theme. Thanks again and I look forward to more videos, keep up the good work.
In many of your videos when you said "ojo".. I was like, she's actually saying "eye".. 😄 now I know it's an instruction.. Lol
My favourite video so far! Thank you! Muchas gracias
Muy buen video y ejercios! Muchas gracias! 😊
Great video, María. Me gustan mucho las leciones.
I loved your work on this video. It was both informative and helpful to understanding common signs one may encounter while out and about. Very well done!
I remember being a young man on holiday in Spain and Ibiza etc. The people we always seemed to have most trouble with were the ones that drove vehicles with ‘Securidad’ written on them. We used to call them ‘security dads’, whilst running away from them 🤪🍺🍺🍺
Un excelente video!! Muy útil y claro, me gustó muchísimo, gracias, maestra María! 😁👏
Me encantó. ¡¡Gracias!! Fue tan útil 💙💙
Got them all right, thanks Maria!!
Another great video. Aprendo tan mucho cuando miro tu videos. Muchas gracias!
got the quizzes right
Estos videos siempre son buenos.
I enjoyed this video. My listening comprehension is definitely improving. However, I need to improve my ability to remember a new word when I hear it. What do you recommend to help me do this? Muchas gracias!
I think reading spanish news or books and watching spanish videos, novelas, movies, etc. are both great ways to build and reinforce vocabulary. Another option is a tool to help you practice new words each day. When I run across new words, I add to one of my (many!) lists in a (free) program called Anki (apps.ankiweb.net/), then each day I use the app on my phone to study. This flashcard app uses a spaced repetition algorithm, so it's smart about re-introducing words to you just about the time you are likely to forget them. Another similar app is Quizlet (quizlet.com).
Always like your videos
Maria, Puedo usa 'significa' sino (rather than?) "quiere decir'? !Gracias Maestra!
Can't believe I ACEd them. 😳
Good job!
love your shirt!
All the questions I answered well.
Thank you Maria and Cody, just love the videos, hope you are still doing them. I'm just learning Spanish,, and it really helps to listen. All the books and grammar videos are fine, but your videos have really clicked for me, and love the little quiz at the end, feels like I'm really getting it. And you are both such a cute couple! : }
90percent correcto
Hola y gracias. María, my dictionary says domicilio means home or domicile. Everyone gets to goof now and then!
Hola Paul. I found this definition on the Internet: "se entiendo como domicilio o a domicilio, a todo tipo de servicio que es prestado en el lugar de residencia de una persona."
I did great.....got 100% :)
I frequently see “envio gratis” or “entreaties gratis” for free delivery. Do those expressions work in your opinion.? Love your lessons.
.
Claro. Es otra manera de decir lo mismo. :)
Dibujo is bin?? I thought it meant to draw. Looked in every Spanish app I have and didn't find anything referring to dibujo as bin. please enlighten me. 🙄
Paga 1 Lleva 2.
- Cody
WhyNotSpanish Bueno vale!
excuse me is buy one get one or two in spanish compra uno gratis uno or two ? can i say that ?
Missed one
Would it be possible for you to do a video on commands and/or indirect object pronouns? Si posible. Muchas gracias.
I talked with Maria and we are going to get something in the works on these topics. So keep a look out. - Cody
WhyNotSpanish Muchas gracias Cody
Que quiere decir "para ninos krea"?
Oh no ,i understand it very much, but i think i have a problem with my shortterm memory
In British English, we say ‘To let’ not ‘for rent’.
That's interesting. I've heard of sublet but not let. I guess it makes sense now.
P.D., me encanta tu canal!
Why? Who knows...but my wild guess is that it derives from the name of the manufacturer when it was first introduced.

Did they ever find Elvis?
I got one wrong! "The correct answer was dressing room? I think? Yo olvide!
I don't know how to tell you this, but... Elvis is dead. 1:31
That is so funny on so many different levels!
With your test, only one wrong.
Jolie salamandre sur ton gilet...😊
