Miniatures Review - 10mm Pendraken Medieval Islamics
Pendraken currently produces the "TB" line of medieval 10mm miniatures, including Islamics. They look great painted, are easy to assemble, but may have more detail than you're used to on 10mm figures.
A strong recommendation from me, 4.5 out of 5.
*Disclosure: I have done commission work for Pendraken in the past, painting miniatures for their website photos. The miniatures in this video belong to and were purchased by me and the opinions expressed are my own.

Painting 10/15mm Early 20th Century Infantry - A Study in Contrast
zhlédnutí 471Před 10 měsíci
Ever wonder how to get your 10 or 15mm figures looking good when their uniforms are just... dark green? How about khaki, brown, tan, beige, olive, or any other number of early 20th century military uniform colors. When almost all of your figure is just one color, don't neglect the contrast!
Which is the Ultimate Wash? GW vs Army Painter vs Pro Acryl
zhlédnutí 3,6KPřed rokem
For years, the most popular washes, aka talent in a bottle, have been the Games Workshop Citadel line of washes, especially Nuln Oil, Agrax Earthshade, and Reikland Fleshshade. Now that Pro Acryl has expanded their line to include three washes, and Army Painter already has their successful line of washes, which of these will be the best? Special thanks to Mrs. Feldgrau for making this video pos...

How to Get Skirmish Games on the Table Faster with 10mm

How can you field an entire army for only $12 and one day of painting? The answer may surprise you! Actually, it's just using 10mm figures. They're fast to paint, inexpensive to buy, and look great when you put 2 or 3 infantry figures on a 25mm round base.

Great job whats the name of the color you used for ww2 and this figures uniform looks great to me I feel vallejos field grey is too dark for me. Thanks!
Woah man they look increddddible. Love those.
Thank you for the clear, comprehensive, and honest review, and congratulations on a beautiful looking army! I am looking forward to the second video in this series.
A spectacular and splendid army, love the knights (difficult to make them but worth the pain!)...Big like!
That is a superb army on mass
Many people think painting 10-15mm minis is easier and faster than painting heroic scale minis. Is not. Not at all.
Very useful video. Thanks.
At around 12:50 you did the brown twice.
you can get an army pack for 40 quid. this saves you 14 quid which is 2 free packs and a bit. but you can only change 1 pack so you get what your given. I can't say enough good things about Pendraken my new go to figure retailer best customer service EU
You are right 10mm is the new 28mm. im down sizing my DnD games to 10mm. first off i can afford things lol 2nd their easier to paint 3rd a dragon is able to perform manovers and ranges can now max out.
Any chance of doing a tutorial on 15mm Knights Templar ?. Love your channel and painting is always awesome. Cheers. Stevie
Thanks very much for the tutorial. Very useful.
I'm absolutely hating the color of AP's Strong tone. Dark tone is fantastic, but Soft Tone and Strong tone, just look like an off yellow staining. Might try Brown wash from Pro Acryl, cause I really don't want to buy the new formula Agrax...
What technique did you use for priming? Brush on primer with a zenithal/grey dry brush?
Try the new formula Vallejo washes, the umber is like agrax earthshade but way better.
hi^^ beautiful job ! could you give me the name of the range miniatures they are ? thanks !
Sadly this model didn’t release in Indonesia 🇮🇩
I think they'd make good D&D or early WFB 'half orcs'. Orcish features, but human discipline.
Love to see crusades as looking to do this at 10mm in our gaming group
Thank you for that review!
Thanks for a great review.
Very nice review
How do you represent units in buildings at this scale?
I really like Pendraken
Very nice figures
noice
Great job. I love 10mm and a-plying a wash really does bring out the detail
Very nice tutorial Chris, keep up the great work
Totaly agree with everything you say. They look fantastic
Have you tried the new Vallejo umber wash yet as it's meant to work well?
I have not but any dark brown or black wash would achieve the same effect.
nice tutorial. those are so s mall so contrast is really key
Hey, those are some nice looking minis! Excellent job
@milesreidy7864 Thanks! I sure hope the person who commissioned them likes them!
Hey there Chris, been missing your videos. But looking back at this one I had a question. How to you scale the pre-supported miniatures to 105% like you mentioned? Cheers bud!
In your slicer software, like Lychee, there is always an option, usually called "scale" that you can increase or decrease the size of the model. Because I'm only going up 5-20%, the supports getting larger isn't really a problem and everything prints fine. Shrinking would be more of an issue.
Wait, is Ukraine currently being invaded by Russia?
Many thanks. A good breakdown of possible table top 'British' options for the game. Follow the rules but don't be too prescritive with the troop types - or names, a little research will show that in all armies there were those soldiers that were extremely brave. BTW - Tolkein, famous for Lord of the Rings the battles in which which it is thought were based on his own experiences during the conflict - substitute with Sasoon (?) who earned the nickname 'Mad Jack' by his men.
Interesting approach. For the main uniform I sprayed mine mechanicus standard grey, then used athonian cammo shade ink all over, to introduce a bit of green to the grey/blue.
Been looking at doing this for Sharp Practice. Stuck on the Peninsula War or Civil War, but the cost was keeping me from doing it. But you have shown that this is a cheaper option. So thank you on that, might have to buy one of the other rule sets now.
The Serbs started it
How much time did you let the oil dots dry before you applied your wet brush?
morcock inspired i think
Pro Acryl flesh wash looks more like the original flesh wash/chestnut ink that GW had when they contracted their paint production out to Coat D Arms.
I am also currently painting those skeletons. The sculpts are nice, but they have the same problem that many 3D-printable models have. There are just too many areas that are very hard to reach with a brush without getting paint on other already painted areas. The poses of these skeletons are just too dynamic. In my opinion painting them is a real pain in the butt. I have already invested several hours in batch painting 2 complete units and they look terrible. Maybe I should not have primed them white, but black instead and then just dry brush them with white.
Great tutorial! Which manufacturer are these figures from? Wanting to pick some up myself, they look awesome.
Honestly couldn't tell you. I bought them in an ebay lot a while ago that the seller listed as mixed manufacturers.
@@FeldgrauProductions Ah, that's a shame. Thanks!
wish you listed the paints
To be honest, the actual paints don't matter too much. Just pick the light blue, dark blue, tan, and etc. from whatever paint range you like.
thank you for the show
mark adkin Gettysburg Companion is an excellent book on battle
so sad kepi hats set not made for Union
Can you do a Austrian Guide?
How would I prep these minis for paint?
I just cleaned up the little flash and obvious mold lines with a hobby knife and metal file, then primed black and, if I remember correctly, drybrushed them white.
