On the instructions which come in the box with the Child Safety locks, maybe make this a little more clear and make the QR code bigger.

04/02/2024 THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO! IT WORKS!!!!! Click "read more" below for my added tips! I just watched this video about 45 mins ago and got 8 of these locks x 2 sides = 16 off in less than 30 mins. I watched other videos too, but their methods weren't as good as this one. Dental floss was slick and didn't work for me, but this trick with the spoon + paper towel worked like a charm! Tips I learned: - Use blow dryer to heat both straight on the flat part and angle the dryer to heat the sides too so it's heating the adhesive - Heat it up for 20-25 seconds - If it's sticking, grab the blow dryer and heat it again for 5 more seconds - Glossy paint = Comes off easier - Flat paint = Comes off, but be extra careful you don't pull the paint off -- use more heat and do it slowly! Hope this helps others!! Thank you so much for this video! :)

Read the comments below...as most are spot-on. These people need to re-write and produce the video AFTER having a panel of mom's critique the re-write.

I had a similar issue, but it was a phone holder on my cars dash display. I found a better idea from another youtube warrior and that was to use dental floss. I put gardening gloves on, just in case but it worked perfect without worry about denting or in my case breaking the glass on my dash display. Worked perfect AND it's what 3M recommends as the proper proceedure.

Garbage installation video. Needs to explicity say the cradle is only there temporarily to help guide the installation. Also, partially unwrapping the locking mechanism does not work. It's all or nothing. Just take the whole thing off and go for it. Their other video is much better with the brunette women.

12:03 in the video is interesting. You are putting the magnet towards the front side of the lock, which is the reverse of where it usually goes to unlock it. The magnet usually goes to the back side of the lock, where it is attached the to the cabinet, to unlock. But it still worked on the front side! That was unexpected, but helps me in a possible project where I'm hoping to use a magnetic lock on a door that opens the reverse from a standard cabinet (pushes into the cabinet instead of pulling outward). Now thinking I could possibly use the lock component on the frame inside of the cabinet, and the strike plate on the door itself, and the magnet (if doubled) might still work to unlock it, if aimed at the front of the lock, through the door panel. Was thinking if I use a steel strike plate and screw to attach it (instead of the plastic), it might help conduct the magnetism even better to the lock front to unlock it -- but then you showed the issue of nails and other metals unlocking the mechanism. So, maybe that would leave it permanently unlocked. Now I'm wondering if all safety baby locks get unlocked if near nails, or if it's just this brand. Seems like it would depend on if they make it with the lock or the key containing the magnetic part.
