Blue Oyster Cult? I stopped watching, sorry.
@@paulsholar9356 sorry man blue oyster cult is one of my favorite bands of all time. I love hard rock and guitar great singing vocals lyrics etc have you actually listened to this record because I understand some of the stuff they put on the radio was not so good I agree about that.
Ron! Miss your videos very much and hope you're doing good man. If theres ever anything i can do you just let me know buddy and im on it👍✌️
You have to think about the preservation of the original master tapes. Each time they are played they lose oxide. Eventually we will not have master tapes to make future records from. It makes sense for MoFi to make DSD pressings. Save the tapes. I don't agree with how they went about it though. Although it did troll the people who thought they could hear the digital. LOL
All due respect to Bernie, who is great but to say that analog tape will last longer than digital copies is ridiculous
How can you be talking about the best sounding issues if you haven't got the UK Vertigos (Japanese Vertigo surely doesn't come close to the UK original), or OG greenies? Have you heard all of them, compared them?
Iwant practical record cleaning
@@manojkumarchakraborty6663 I have another video I did after this and I talk about what the problems are in record cleaning. if you want an easiest solution to clean your records to get the dust off just use a carbon fiber brush. Using any fluids on your records without vacuuming Will trap dirt deep in the grooves.
Vinyl vac is awesome for the price. Under 100 dollars will be the biggest game changer. I looked at the RX Doctor but after trying the vinyl vac. I just can't see my self paying 400 or 500 for a vacum cleaner. I may get a humminguru in the fruture but the vinyl vac works so well.
I use 1% Alconox then a vinyl vac. Then a 10% isopropyl distilled watered for a rinse the vinyl vac. I hear the same with Alconox........ but safer.
You are a great man! I will buy records from you. All day long. Is there anyway i can get a list to order from you.
Lol, isn't that the reason why "they" say not to use Isopropyl alcohol........ because it takes of the plasticizer
You are a wealth of info. Love your vids. Keep'em Spinning Bud! You got a new subscriber.
7:00 everyone's top listened record! :D
Some vinyl channels have more subscribers than you do but know nothing about different pressings sound quality and who masters these records. Very few channels are nowhere close to your knowledge my friend. And why they don’t want to learn about it from Rockin Ronnie is way beyond me. I miss all your expertise so don’t ever think for a moment you’re boring us about this. It’s really there loss for not listening to your awesome channel. All of your subscribers know how valuable you are to us best of times to you Ron keep ROCKIN.
Where did you find the scuzz buster spray?
Scuz buster is one of those citrus cleaners I got it with a mapleshade steam record cleaner which was a piece of junk.
Ron, Have you by chance heard the new Rhino HiFi by Kevin Gray of the debut? It’s an interesting listen.
No I haven't heard it by the time I found out they were sold out already but thanks for asking
Hi Ron, We need a comparison video with the new rhino hifi Black Sabbath to see how it holds up.
I've been using the same method. Give the vinyl a good twirl in the Spin Clean then vacuum them off with my Nitty Gritty cleaner's vacuum. If the humidity is low, I'll give the vinyl a quick wave with my electric plasma lighter to reduce static. Works like a champ and can improve even the worst vinyl.
been a while Ron...just hope you are okay. If you have decided not to post any more videos may i thank you for all your hard work and generosity in sharing your musical knowledge.
Both mono and stereo boxes are only suitable for listening and replacing with new ones. They have no real collectible value and are not at all similar to the first presses. I don't understand who is raising the prices on them. Ordinary consumer goods, not the Grail. The images are blurry, the cardboard is slightly glossy and bears little resemblance to the chic laminate of the old days. At the same time, it also seems to be a little sticky. Only books are good. I have this shit, but at starting prices. I would never forgive myself for buying this garbage at the current fantastic prices. Yes, it's new, strong, acceptable, sealed... junk - in an oversized box. This is why I don't recommend buying vinyl boxes. It's better to spend money on the individual albums you need. But it's even better to find old records in good condition.
Ron, any new videos coming soon?
Hey Donnie Thanks so much I appreciate your concern. it's been concerning me as well that I need to make a video. Again I do appreciate your taking the time ask if I'm going to make a video ❤️
@@RocknRonni more is always better they say.
Ron check this out BLACK SABBATH (RHINO HIGH FIDELITY)
Cringing that I sound like an "audiophile" here but, please don't advise collectors to use tap water on their vinyl(even as a last resort), as it contains minerals which deposit on the vinyls grooves, it's better to advise the use purified water(or distilled at least) I really appreciate your effort, it helped me learn exactly what I wanted to know about Tergikleen 🙏 You might be able to add a visual label to the video at the two points of the video where you mentioned tap water with something like "correction, only use purified/distilled water, not tap water) There's one company(I'm not mentioning brands) that even sells a rinse with quadruple distilled water. Apologies if I'm coming across like an audiophile, hijacking your comments section with a self indulgent rant, I know I would only be preaching to the choir, great vid apart from that 👍
Apologies, I didn't realize this was only step 1 of 2(only to be used prior to cleaning the vinyl in the spin clean machine), I must have missed that, my bad 🙏 I just learned yesterday, as a for cheap means of sourcing distilled water, here in Ireland, purified water is pretty expensive in chemists/pharmacies, at approx €17 for 2 litres, but they also sell distilled water(which is good enough for vinyl(no minerals in it)), at just €8.50 for 5 litres, perfect for an average sized ultrasonic vinyl record cleaner, which are generally 4 litres. Also, you can buy it from companies that produce it in mass vat / tanks for window cleaners and other companies who need it in mass, there's a crowd in Dublin, Ireland that sell it for 5 cent per litre! There could be a minimum purchase requirement or a flat rate service charge if you're turning up with(to them) a small 5 gallon drum(approx 23 litres), at those prices you could definitely afford to use it for pre-rinsing before the spin clean 👌
What if the record of sealed you don’t wanna open it up?
Never heard the ORG, but I’ve owned a few Pallas pressings. I was unimpressed by the Pallas. I ended up with a mint EU OG (Sonopress Germany) and that’s just an absolutely unreal pressing. If you want your OG back, find a Sonopress. Thanks for the review.
I bet when you get up to your records letter -F you will probably have only one or two of-foghat &foreigner
The sellers today have no interest in customers.
Liquinox is better and safer than tergikleen
how’s Ron beaudry in 2024 still hanging in there?
It would be nice if someone would just explain how to package the record album without lecturing. I don’t want to hear all the stories. Just give me the proper way to package my LPs for shipping.. that’s it. Wow.
When will you be doing another video . Hope you well mate
At the internet I only opposite advises at every subject one can think about. So also about this cleaning subject: With liquid you destroy the glue of your tip. Must I throw away my just ordered DS Audio ST 50 gel cleaner when it arrives next week.

What percentage of that album was down to Mick Ronson?
Sorry if i missed it, what cleaning solution or product are you adding the Tergikleen to?
Distilled water
@@RocknRonniThanks. I had been under the impression Tergikleen was a surfactant to add to a cleaner to help it penetrate into the grooves. This certainly simplifies things. Thank you for the quick reply.
@@photoslum I have two or three different videos where I talk about tergikleen and my process. I put 15 drops of tergikleen to a gallon of distilled water. As stated on the instructions. then as I describe in the video. Wash records with spin clean one with tergikleen then I rinsed with another spin clean. Just using distilled water then finally the vacuum with the record Dr 5 it takes about 3 to 4 minutes to clean a record. The results are superbly clean records and audibly better sounding records improved fidelity because of removing the film placed on the records during the manufacturing process.
@@RocknRonniThank you VERY much for the detailed reply. I was already planning to buy 2 Spin Clean cleans, one for wash, one for rinse!
Moongel works fine for me.
God advice man! I will try this with my Spin Clean :D
A couple decades ago I sold my mfsl version thinking if replaced it with the simply vinyl version as it was only $30. I guess I shouldn't have waited two decades. Any recommendations for a quality inexpensive version.
