    I noticed how my female bird became more passive and sleeping much more often during the days. She would not leave the cage anymore for flying (the cage door is always kept open for them to go in and out as they wish). She loved to destroy carrots for example and no matter how big that carrot was, she would bite it down real fast with an orange face. That would make her smile all over the face (seeing that in her eyes and overall face expression). She would not touch the carrot anymore. I knew that something was wrong. Eventually I had to make some changes inside the cage and there I noticed that she could not fly! She was hiding her broken wing from me all this time! Now, I believe that she might had a night fright experience but I am not sure. Overall, she is quite aggressive and combative towards her "love partner". Ah, I am so sad because with her having broken her wing, all the joy has left my home. My male budgie imitates her behavior and flies the fraction of the amount he was flying before. I am so sad. I want to know what can be done to avoid at least the damage and injuries the budgies inflict upon themselves because of this "panic attack". My very first budgie I had when I was in elementary school came from a class friend of mine and that budgie had a broken wing, too. Does the broken wing fully recover and can the budgie fly again? This is such a sad experience.

    There you go I put a comment that shows that your education level is wrong when it comes to birds birds don't know what being gay is Most birds do homosexual acts or lesbian acts at a young age not knowing as I describe and my other comment what gender even is yet This is not normal behavior for adults This only happens usually in youngsters who are inexperienced and never had an adult around to teach them So no birds cannot be homosexual That is actually a myth and a lie animals in general can't be homosexual They have no idea what that is. They don't have the mindset to understand what homosexuality is When one bird is mating with the same sex it's because they have no inkling or understanding of what they're doing.

  • @OfficialDJTasawennateken
    @OfficialDJTasawennateken Před 5 měsíci

    Many people who own budgies and are very inexperienced have this weird belief that birds can be gay but they cannot they don't know what that is The stems from the fact that sometimes younger male budgies who don't know what gender is and is confused May try to mate with another male forcibly which is not acceptable behavior Budgies, also known as parakeets, are small and colorful birds that are popular pets all over the world. They are known for their playful and social nature, making them great companions for bird lovers. However, there are instances when some budgies exhibit abnormal behavior that may concern their owners. One of these behaviors is when one male budgie tries to mate with another male budgie. This may seem harmless or even cute to some people, but it is not normal behavior for birds and can have serious consequences for the male being targeted. First and foremost, it's important to understand that budgies are not sexually attracted to their own gender. This means that when one male budgie is trying to mate with another male, it is not out of love or attraction, but rather a case of confusion of them not understanding that the other bird is a male. In most cases, this behavior is shown by younger and immature birds who are not yet aware of their own gender or even what gender is or What is considered bad behavior. When a male budgie forcefully tries to mate with another male, it is essentially an act of aggression and feels like a form of domination to the other bird Now let's make it clear The other bird who is doing the act is not trying to dominate It's not them being aggressive towards them because they're trying to show them I'm the one in charge It's like I said before The one doing it does not realize that they're doing it to another male Most people don't realize that young budgies have no clue what bad behavior is or gender yet. So when this happens It is not consensual, and the bird being targeted is in danger and can experience severe physical and emotional distress. This is why when this behavior occurs, the male budgie being targeted screams and cries in agony. Just like in any other living being, forced into non-consensual acts it can cause severe trauma and injury any other male bar can possibly even kill the other male bird that was targeted. If you have budgies in your apartment or house and witness this behavior, it is your responsibility as a pet owner to take action immediately. It is not acceptable to simply ignore it or think that it's normal or funny Too many times I've seen people claim all it's funny or it's cute when it's not It is not cute or acceptable for your birds to behave this way. By allowing this behavior to continue, you are putting your other male budgies at risk of severe harm and even death. It is also important to note that this behavior is not limited to just male budgies; female budgies can also exhibit similar behavior towards other females So it's not a one-way thing even female budgies will at 1 point not realize that a female is a female and a male is a male as we've stated before when budgies are young they have no clue what gender is although this is rare to happen with females It does tend to happen with males more. To put an end to this behavior, the first step is to separate the male budgie that is being aggressive towards others. This may involve removing him from the cage and keeping him in a separate space until he calms down and stops showing this behavior. It is also important to keep in mind that this aggression can be directed towards female budgies as well, so it's important to monitor all interactions between birds And yes like I said this can be done to female budgies by mails too Most people assume that when they're female budgie is being mated with by the mail that in most cases it's consensual but most of the time it's not If you pay attention to female birds very closely they try to avoid males and stay separate to themselves and they will fight the males if they have to to death so this does happen to them it's rare but it does Most people believe that male budgies are the only ones that are aggressive and fight but females are actually even more aggressive if you push their buttons I've seen this happen before with my female budgie just to be clear One of the males in my cage forced themselves on her and she started screaming in agony and you can tell the difference between consensual and none consensual usually if it's consensual the female will be more quiet where while it's not consensual just like with the male doing it to another male you'll hear squawking and screaming and the birds sounding like they're in agony But yeah this usually doesn't happen to females being forced because usually they are accepting of allowing the mail to mate with them. Some people may argue that this behavior is a result of the bird being dominant and showing his dominance over other males. However, it is important to understand that this is not dominance but rather confusion and sexual aggression as they are maturing This usually happens when the bird is maturing and they don't know the difference between a man and a female yet. Additionally, this behavior does not make the bird 'gay' or indicate any kind of sexual preference. Birds do not have the ability to understand gender or sexuality in the same way that humans do As we've stated multiple times now So wanted to make that clear Most people assume their bird is gay because it's mating with another male but that's not the case They have no clue that it's a male because of their age and them having no experience yet and there's also usually happens when it's just younger birds in the cage This doesn't happen with more mature birds That's also why it's wise to have a much older bird in your cage that can help teach your other little birds what's right and what's wrong. In conclusion, it is important to recognize that it is not normal or acceptable for one male budgie to mate with another male budgie. This behavior is dangerous and can cause physical and emotional harm to the targeted bird. As responsible pet owners, it is our duty to educate ourselves on proper budgie behavior and intervene when necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of our feathered friends. So, the next time you witness this behavior, remember that it is not okay to leave the birds alone and you must take action to protect them. In one last thing I got to say is many people seem to think it's funny when this happens It's not funny how would you like it if someone forced themselves on you like in this situation It wouldn't be acceptable for you as a human so it shouldn't be acceptable for you to accept this behavior by one budgie towards another one of your budgies So yeah it's not acceptable if you're an owner to laugh at this behavior and just sit there and do nothing People who do this need to understand that it's not funny You would not think it was funny if it happened to you as a human so it's not funny when it happens to a bird by another bird. And one more time to make a clear for everybody budgies don't know what being gay is birds and animals have no clue in general what that is has that is just something that humans have come up with in their own species other animals don't know what that is human are the only animals who do that and humans can actually do what's called given permission a budgie cannot So again when this happens in your cage and you see a younger male budgie going after a younger male budgie trying to mate with them You should intervene right away It don't matter if you get bit or scratched up You will be fine and he'll pretty fine quickly The other male budgie will not It's always crucial and important to get the bird out of the situation even if you got to start yelling and screaming and wailing your arms all over the place to scare the other one off It's very crucial to get the other bird off the other male and put a stop to it right away If you don't and you just let it happen it's going to continuously happen and then the birds going to eventually think that it's acceptable and okay behavior.

    As an owner of a 5 year old CAG, this is NOT even close to being everything you need to know. Husbandry. Your food suggestions are highly inaccurate. Seeds should be avoided at all costs. Pellets should make up 75% of the diet while they need fresh veggies to make up the other 25%. You didn’t even touch on the size of a cage nor that they need 12 hours of uninterrupted sleep every night. They need sunlight and showers so their powder will not build up and start itching it. This video is so bad with the information that it should be removed immediately!!
