Well...very first time for me, to hear this man... He sings NOT artificial, as all the others; he GRABS the song, with his VERY own PERSONAL, not "artist"-voice, and makes it his own... that's what music is all about, take the BEST and make it your OWN (blend, if you like...). Yo, very natural, like this a LOT!

Opera is dead because nobody sings like this anymore. Not even close. It’s not a “matter of taste”, modern tenors CANNOT sing. There’s a few exceptions for sure, but the ones that can actually sing with proper technique are not the ones you can see on stage these days.

Very heavy voice for the role, it’s sound like Brunhilde sings little Butterfly! Really unsuitable. Magda Olivero was perfect in that opera,in my opinion. It’s unfortunate that Dame Nellie Melba hasn’t made recording of this aria, it would be marvelous.
