I had a blast listening to your video narration. You are spot on with everything you said WRT to the greatness of One Piece and the other failures out there when it comes to adaptations of written works. One Piece takes Woke and throws it in the trash......and yet this wonderful show is as diverse as the The Expanse. Good writing will always bring fans.....in droves. Period.

Both Rings Of Power and One Piece are expensive. Unlike ROP, you can see where the money is spent. Fantastic sets, rich costumes, and great overall production. I'm still coming to terms with the fact that She-Hulk cost $25M per episode. Where did the money go?

Hm Also, I find I can comprehend the difference between good and evil just fine without having to embrace the evil first. Is that just me? I think a lot of the problem is so many "writers" are basically freelancing paid gigs. They aren't writing what they want they are writing what the are asked to in the hopes of making money by using whatever "formula" they think should work. Critics make terrible creators generally.

I would bet that later on it will leak that most dialogue and storyline in general are made by AI instead of real writers.

I wish the writers and directors of live-action ATLA had the same love and respect for the source material and gave us a good product instead of using it to push their agendas😢

Why is the movie so fkng grey?? Do they think the world was black&white back then?

Some of the photography and costumes looked rather cool. But Ridley should have leaned way more into the "pop aspect" if the intent was to make a flippant and a-historical movie. How it stands now, the scenes which are supposed to be funny don't land at all, if they even register on the viewers radar, and that's exactly the problem. The movie comes across as being serious, while at the same time being historically inaccurate, and even if taken outside the context of historical drama, and rather looked at with the lens of a tragicomedy,it's still not particularly coherent with itself.

Despite the reviews, i was so looking forward to seeing this movie. Oh dear 2.5 hours of my life wated....This is such rubbish...very disappointing. Really no redeeming features 😢

I honestly think future seasons should keep the sets with the goal of eventually turning it into a theme park. Those sets looked so damn amazing. Granted that would be an even more absurd amount of money spent on the land/water required.

Season 1 and 2 were very messy writing of Mandalorian but 3 was a major drop in quality from sub par to terrible

It really amazing that someone like Oda, a Japanese guy, can bring people of all cultures together without making a big deal out of it, yet companies like Disney make race their extreme position and only end up alienating everyone and causing division.

Dial of Destiny is a dumpster fire of garbage. As a huge Indiana Jones fan, it genuinely upsets me that this movie is so terrible.

Only part of live action i did not like was that the goat guy in Usopp arc got killed, I do not understand why Oda let this happen. When in anime and manga he was just majorly wounded.

I agree with everything you say, but wait there’s more. If there’s no evil in paradise, then why are some of the elf children bullies? (And why don’t they have the same posh dialect as Galadriel and her big brother?) I’m sure the writers didn’t intend for us to take away that elves have no idea how boats work (but we did). So what does parable actually mean? I think what he is actually saying is “boats float by positive thinking”. Very profound. I suspect that Payne & McKay used ai for some of their writing. This is exactly the kind of “sounds like a quote out of LotR, but doesn’t actually mean anything” that ai tends to generate. “The Sea is always right.” Another thing that ai does is dialogue where people take turns saying typical things, but without hearing each other, without subtext, without underlying needs, wants or goals driving the conversation, and then suddenly becoming super hostile for no understandable reason. Sounds familiar? Oh, and the weird habit of picking up something from the previous line and repeating it out of context, also ai typical. Of course it’s possible that all of the poor workmanship is just due to the inexperience of the writers. Payne & McKay have actually never written a full script for anything. They have written a couple of pitches, outline ideas for something that could have been made into script, if a major production company had said yes. But that never happened, so… This is the first attempt of complete noobs to write a full script. That makes sense, actually.

Since you brought up how the writer of Witcher would have casted a non-white actress for Nami...it reminds me how a few years ago I came across one small article (which if i recall was made I guess i a month after the Strawhat castings were announced) which talked about how there were salty "fans" online who were furious that a non-white actress wasn't casted as Nami and preache about diversity (Even though the cast was already diverse with the likes of Inaki Godoy, Makenyu and Jacob Romero Giboson). Obviously these were not true fans of the source material and around that time; most beautiful red head characters for some reason had non-white actresses being casted for their roles, I don't know why Hollywood can't handle red head characters that aren't POC but it's a good call Oda-Sensei made the casting decisoins. Heck I bet in any other hollywood situatoin without Oda-Sensei's input. The casting for Nami and Nojiko would have been the other way around. Chioma Antoinette Umeala would have been Nami and Emily Rudd would been bene Nojiko. And sadly Chioma Antoinette Umeala still got flack from some fans of OP on being Nojiko but most of us are more welcome to it because its a good way to nod to the viewers that despite being sisters, it is clear they are not blood related and it doesn't need to be said they aren't. Plus personally to me; I and seemingly most other OP fans always so Nojiko has having a slighty darker skin tone compared to Nami so I say the casting is accurate. Even with a few race swaps on the show; it mainly happened to the minor characters, characters that most people would NOT get riled up over. Even if they do, they'll most likely try and cause some drama in order to try and boycott the live action but if they were true fans; they shouldn't let changes of minor characters get the best of them. When Sham was made to be female in the live action I admit, it took me by suprise but I quickly accepted the idea because Sham was a minor character who's only role is being one of Kuro's henchman so I didn't mind the change, but there are fake fans out there trying to cause controversy surrounding it. Accusing it of being "woke" because of such a minor change...like as if Sham suddenly having noo friend downstairs is gonna impact the WHOLE plot!

Notice how you always referred to one important character as "the brother"? This is because we do not hear Finrod's name (outside the captioning) until Episode 7, about the same time that we learn that oh, by the way, Galadriel has a husband. Sometimes omissions like this from highly-paid screenwriters defy understanding.

It has spoilers for s1, so, you may want to watch OP s1 before watching it, but you can safely watch the first couple minutes of the Honest Trailer, if nothing else... then come back to it after it inspires you to watch OP s1. One Piece is genius.

Spot on. I just realized, the woke always try to sabotage others by promoting self defeating mental models and discourage beneficial behavior, so that is why they are showing to not ask for help and not collaborate with others for mutual benefit and accelerating results.
