Great demo with different amps and tones!!! I've tested the York Audio IR MES 212 V30-Limited pack with Quad Cortex, the difference with the QC cab sim block is huge! On the base of your video I've understood that KW 412 M25-SH is the right IR pack for me...thanks

I've wanted one of these for a long time. I have and older H/S/S Pacifica, and 2 THR amps, so I'm a huge Yamaha fan. If a used one comes in at my local dealer, I'm snagging it right away - if I bond with it lol.

I have Stainless Steel frets on my 98 Ebony 7vwh,and it’s a much better guitar now,i have just bought a Panther Pink Pia too,hopefully delivered soon,it actually sounds better than the Jem in this video

As usual a very thorough and enjoyable review. A big plus to this one is more guitar playing with exceptional guitar riffs. Seth you rocked it! Lots of full sound with this guitar. I prefer the focus settings with their milder tones and softer sounds.

Thrilled to come across this review. You’re right on the money. I have a 2016 LE Valentine in Starry Night, which I bought because I really wanted a Valentine but I struggle with pale wood fretboards aesthetically (the Starry Night series all have an ebony fretboard). TBH I have had some difficulty with the dimensions of the neck between the nut and the fourth/fifth fret - I have pretty big hands so I used to find it a bit cramped down there, but I play out more now and it is in a band context that the Valentine comes into its own. It sounds great for pretty much every song we do, it’s quiet, it stays in tune and it feels solid enough that if it comes to grief it’ll survive. Nothing else I take out to play does that, apart from my Reverend Airwave, but that’s a 12 string so there’s no comparison really. Great review.

Found a white PIA all the way in South America Colombia. Tucked away in a small guitar shop that's approved by Ibanez as a distributor. To my surprise it was about $1500 than where I live in North America. I still can't believe I own one. It wasn't an onyx but.. ill take it!

I think in the interest of fairness you should have made it clear the difference between the Jem Jr. model and the Jem 7VWH, which is a lot closer in comparison to the Pia. Having said that, great comparison video and some lovely tones.

The Valentine is the most brilliant guitar ever made tbh. The feel, the tone, and the overall vintage yet unique looks just makes this a master of its class. When I got my Valentine, I couldn’t stop playing / looking at it. I’m the type that LOVES the telecaster tone but i needed more umph. I have traded / sold many tele’s cause they couldn’t do it for me. THIS is the only guitar that has done it for me and I probably won’t pick up another telecaster again.

My best take-away from this video is the reinforcement of my belief that it's the player, not the instrument, that makes the biggest difference. Seth- Loved your technique as well as the composition of the music. Is it something of your own? -E-

Hey dude! Fellow Valentine owner here - just wondering how you care for the fretboard and neck? I've had mine for 2 years now and I only really wipe the frets with a lightly damp cloth when restringing and wipe it down after a sweaty gig. Are you doing anything different? (I've heard about the EB wonder wipes)

I just returned my Artisan Aged Cherry guitar as well for the same reasons. I felt the neck was too thick and it lacked resonance and brightness, it just seemed dull compared to my Gibson Les Paul Standard. Although I loved the way it looked, just couldn't bond with it. Also, it did not sustain that well. It may be the pickups I didn't like

Loved each guitar sound for different reasons. Jem seemed cleaner, Pia seemed fuller. Around 7:45-8:00 the bend on the Jem was bright and beautiful whereas the Pia you couldn’t hardly hear it. Enjoyed the video though, great comparison!!

Love the review and the guitar thanks for doing that. Just a bit of advice. Please slow down the vibrato. Vibrato is not a shaking motion is a smooth flowing expression in time with the song. Listen to any guitarist today, via, satriani try to mimmic that vibrato. Other than that great job and great review keep up the good work. ROCK ON.
