    Great review, I currently have the EGO blower and the 18” chainsaw. I have a very old gas brush cutter and was looking at the various Ego models. This looks like the best for my work. They all take the same battery and they are all powerful.

    EGO TECHNITIAN advised not to add 3 TOOTH BLADE to regular trimmer. It is only for STX 3800 TRIMMER WHICH IS EXPENSIVE. Tech says blade with overheat and damage regular trimmer. Use at your risk

  • @nyplantingsgardendesigners5645

    Problem is that there seems to be at least 3 different powerheads. Also there is a backpack battery which may take weight off from the unit. There is no clear explanation as to which model is the strongest for pro use. Thanks for your vid. I am most interested in pole hedge trimmers for heavy twig wood shrubbery if you have advice.

    *I have used Stihl for over 20 years 🌴 **allabout.wiki/EGO** and after reading some reviews of this trimmer, I tried EGO Power+ , and I'm going to switch. Compared to several Stihl trimmers I've had, this one is easier to start, quieter, and feels at least as well built . A major plus is it doesn't have the wonky, always leaking, complicated gas tank caps that Stihl has.*

    Hi Anton, I switched my garden tools over to EGO after researching the reviews and watching a number of CZcams videos made by professional garden contractors like yourself. Generally I have been reasonably happy with the tools, however I have recently had an issue with my HT6500E hedge trimmer. I sent the tool off to the approved repairer under the 5 year warranty claim form. After 3 weeks wait the repairer called me to let me know that the parts required would take another month to get here. I’m in Melbourne Australia..... 7 weeks! Not good enough. I’m going back to the Shindaiwa. At least the parts are available at every garden retailer and at the worst case it would be a week to turn the machine around.

    How do you get any string out that’s gotten stuck inside when it’s almost all used up? My two ends got stuck inside... I got one out but can’t clear it? The head doesn’t seem to come off?!

    • @matt.3.14
      @matt.3.14 Před 3 lety

      It does come apart, but it's harder to do that it seems like it should be (unless I'm doing it wrong). There are two spots on either side of the spinning part of the head that you need to push in with your fingers and the cap will come apart.
