Though not the most amazing story it got me to thinking how handy the cat could be. lying in bed watching TV, cat at my side, Maurice began to wale, you know, not the normal meow, but like a cat would howl, and turned our there was a full fledged fire in the kitchen. I honestly only recall it being on the stove top....maybe a grease fire? True, I was subconsciously just beginning to smell it but it had not quite registered in my mind until he cut loose. Not a problem and probably never would have been without him, but its damn nice to know, he is more aware than myself at not only picking up on such things, but telling me about it in no uncertain terms. He's still with me.

My family had a cat for about 10 years. He passed away last year. He was a stray when we found him, they let me keep his ashes cuz he was closest with me. He’d sit with me when I play my games, wait outside my room to greet me in the morning, sit on the chair where I put my shoes on to say bye when I left for school, and last he RAN straight to me when I got back from basic training, which was the longest time I had, consecutively in days, been away from home.

Thank to god he has a family ❤❤
