Thanks man! Yeah, i forgot the timing of healing against 1 topple judgement lol. Because i thought i could've got 2 topples on that phase, but turns out i couldn't so i kinda panicked and hesitated then died. I had a thought about that, but alas i don't have a High-Rank Kjarr Fire in my box. As for why i keep hitting the arms, i was focusing on getting more elemental topples. However i still don't know if hitting the arms during the topple would contribute to the elemental damage for the next one or not. But that's what i believe. I initially had 2 Peak Performance jewels on my set with 3 Evade Window instead of 5. But after 30 minutes getting 1 shotted in the first 5 minutes of the fight, i gave up xD. Then i maxed out the Evade Window also change my mindset of this fight being a 'no-hit' run instead of just 'gotta go fast' as i usually do. That's why i didn't punish some of treon's attacks, i was afraid of him lmao. Kind of nice challenge, it brings back the fear of facing Alatreon after hundreds of times slaying it. Also, thank you for your suggestions!

@@guidagennaio while Alatreon is down due to elemental topple the elemental damage done to his arms do not contribute to the next elemental topple. Also did you work out if peak performance is better than critical boost at the damage level you are at? I would imagine critical boost to work better. Anyhow do you have any augments on your kjarr ice dual blade? I learned a few things from your attempt. You should check out my attempt on Alatreon though. Ah, i see. Thank you for the information. Yeah, you're correct! Crit Boost is better than Peak Performance! I just didn't give much thought on slapping the Peak decos on my earlier attempts xD. I have Affinity Augment on my Kjarr Ice with totals of 65% Affinity before Weakness Exploit just to minimize the chance of dropping the sharpness to blue since i only have a tiny bit of white sharpness. I did! Nice Safi run with 4 topples on the first phase!

@@guidagennaio you've inspired me. I'll give an HR alatreon a try sometime. However for now I'm trying a personal Fatalis any% speedrun. Trying to learn how to perfect punish Fatalis right now cause my gear and deco is extremely suboptimal.

Fatalis is still a butt-cleching fight for me lol. I don't think i'm gonna run it if i ever do any other monster than Alatreon. I might be doing some tempered elders like R.Nergi or Velkhana in the future just before Wilds. Good luck on your grind!!

For me, yes it does! Mainly because i am unfamiliar with Fatalis moves (i rarely fight him lol). In the later stage of the fight we kinda have to attack Fatt's belly (when it glows), at that point it's hard to see what Fatt is doing, i think Evasion V really helps there, also it's relatively easy to craft, the hardest material comes from AT Namielle in which you only need to slay it once. Having Evasion V Charm also make things easier on the decorations, you don't have to worry about using a 'mix+Eva' decos which have higher rarity, thus harder to get. Good luck on your hunts!

Yes, Arch Tempered Velkhana set is the Gamma ( γ ) set. You get it from a quest named "The Place Where Winter Sleeps". It's an MR100+ quest.

I think you're referring to the Frostcraft. You can get that by using 4pcs of Velkhana's Armor. Another effect that i have is Zireael Layered Weapon from the Witcher Event Collab. Both of them are not a mod, you can get them by getting their materials.

Casual set i would use Safi's fire dual blades and then maybe Velkhana's Helm, Yian Garuga's Leggings and 3 pieces of Raging Brach for the rest. For speedrun tho, i'm still figuring out my comfort zone against it. Might be the same as this one against The Evening but using Fatalis dual blades as weapon. But that would mean i need to kill it before it does the Escaton, which i'm still unable to do XD

It has higher raw attack and elemental attack compared to Kjarr

That's a Frostcraft meter. You get that by using 4pcs of Velkhana's armor.

That is of course depends on what monster you're hunting. Personally i wouldn't use this set for multiplayer setup because in multiplayer i usually just help others grinding some materials or fighting some hard monsters, would be inconvenience for others if i cart because i'm forcing to use this set, for example: Fatalis attacks (the fire ones) would be very painful when using this set because of negative Fire Resist. But, if you're very confident with the monster match-up, go on ahead Champ!!

That is really impressive man! NGL my very first Fatalis kill was using 2pcs of Fatalis, the pants and the legs. Also i slapped max Free Meal and Gobbler in them. Lol But in my defense, MHWI was my first MH. So i don't really understand what i was doing (not that i do now), but hey i'm still proud that i did it solo. Kek

Yep speed eating 2, a minimum of 3 evade window, and 1 evade extender that's just how I play this game lol. I can't take it off it's just to comfy sure I'll never have the super crazy agitator, attack boost but I'm just fine maxing my element, and getting my affinity as high as I can. At this point alatreon, at velkhana, and fatalis I just use fortify on off course I still use my vigor revival unless its alatreon I'm really confident with him.

Yeah ikr! Also that max Crit Draw is so nice for Greatsword users. It's great to have at least an option that is comparable to Fatalis set. It's kind of tiring to see half of the player in the random lobby that i joined are using Fatalis set.

Yep and if people wonder about good openings to sheathe for it all you have to do is just eat a might pill when you get a clutch stagger or a topple I like to tell my palico to attack, eat a pill and blade dance. And even without usually any attack boost except on my ice element build I can hit around 170s.

That's an animation from Zireael Layered Weapon. You can get that from the Event Quest Ancient Leshen hunt.

Agree! My main problem with DB is just stamina management and the range is really short. Kind of pain to fight against some monsters like Daora lol.
