i don't know how to access the omen utility set up. everyone in the comments know what they are talking about, i can't even do the 0 step before step 1. wtf, i wish i didn't buy it.

I have the same problem, this is a total shit pc, it has many problems. The keyboard is sometimes not working, when I plug in the headset the pc freezes, and more.

Yeah, all those high pitched and ''electronic'' noises are so annoying I returned a new laptop. You would return shoes with a defect in the form of a tiny shard poking your foot too even if the rest of the shoe is nice. Unacceptable quality problem.

I have the same exact problem but 10x worse. HP omen is a overpriced crap computer that overheats and does nothing it is suppose to do.

Hey Jimbo, I bought an Omen 15 about six months ago and have been experiencing the whining noise, definitely reminiscent of an old CRT television. Also, I noticed in your spectrum diagram that there's an oscillating "wiggle" as well, and I believe I have that issue too because I can audibly hear a wiggling-like constant changing in the fan. These issues were happening from the beginning and I've just been living with them. However, just yesterday, a fan somewhere in the laptop has started making a horrible rubbing/grinding sound, so I think it's shot. I love the laptop otherwise and want to keep it. Do you know if replacement fans can be bought and installed that would cure all of these problems? Thanks.

Same here... I returned my one as this noise is just unacceptable. Its something with left fan as when fans are off i couldn't hear any noise at all. Its a shame as apart from that I was happy with that laptop and would love to keep it.

Hi, I bought mine 2020 HP OMEN - RTX 2070 Super Max Q - i710750h last December, and now I started hearing this noise. The bad thing is that I am from Montenegro and I was waiting for the laptop for three months. Now, I am worried if I return it how much longer I should wait while I need the laptop for the work. If I understood well, there is no hardware fix for this issue, just a laptop replacement? Plus nobody warranties that the new one will be without this noise :p. Thanks for your effort!

I don't have any other issues with my omen expect the one where both side of the keyboard buldge out a bit when I move the screen backwards, should I ask for an replacement for that Or this is just a build defect which every omen laptop have?

I just bought hp omen 15 rtx 3060, and i have same noise, but i think this is very normal when we run it in 5800 RPM, and we can change it with manual or auto mode fan setting. CMIIW

I ordered hp pavilion from Amazon and had same trackpad issue. Even replacement model had same issue. I'll suggest prefer to buy from offline store so that u can check the device before buying.

Hey there - I'm having issues as well with mine that I got a few days ago. I've contacted HP support who just say that repair is the best option for the laptop, do you think that going down this repair route is the best way to get it fixed? (You're definitely right that the HP support is a lot of back and forth communication), I'm honestly just considering returning it! I'm also wondering, was this the same problem when your laptop was idle (i.e., when you were doing nothing) because my fans sound crazy even when I'm just doing nothing!

in my omen 15 my left fans is working normally but my right is not wroking it's not throwing any air out. Is it normal or is there any issue with my laptop? but it do rotate when i put the fans on max mode

My New HP Envy 15 (2020) have this problem to. It's Awful HP quality control. I will try to replace this s*** for another pc brand.

That is really loud for just opening an app i also have a hp omen 15 2020 and when i play games on the battery i get just 30fps i was wondering do you also have the same fps issue?

Do remember that these Omen laptops do suffer from coil whine.
