Fun
I have the V2 of the sBitx and really like your UI improvements. I wonder how easily it would be to do for the V2.
Nice enhancements. 30 year embedded FW and HW engineer here. I am considering pulling the trigger on this radio purchase tomorrow. This has inspired me. I have some ideas for enhancements as well. I mostly run CW and Phone. FT8 now and then. I haven't heard a good sample of the SSB Phone audio yet so I am still a bit leery. I use a G90 for roadwork and I can't listen to it anymore, even for the brief stints. Whatever it is about the sound of it drives me batty. Hoping sBitx is an improvement. The CW seems to sound good. It will be fun to tinker with at least.
This is fantastic, I really like some of your improvements. I've been considering a sbitx for my next rig.
Very nice! I'm looking for this type of interface to replace the current. utilizing the full monitor screen is a huge plus! Have you done any work with the encoders? The main encoder for VFO is perfect, but I think the secondary button should work as follows. Default: speaker volume control. A push on the second encoder should cycle through the most common options not just change the mode. After about 5 seconds or so, the second encoder should go back to controlling just the speaker volume. I have messed up my settings NUMEROUS times because I forgot what the 2nd encoder was controlling! Let me know if you like these suggestions 73
I figured out tha I needed to replace the WEB FOLDER. Question: is there access to the log in your version? Thanks.
Are there instuctions to install?
Hello @samhanie. Thanks for watching! I have received similar requests before. I will certainly put together such a video soon. Cheers, Frank
Is there any software for Olivia mode
A video showing the conversion process to this GUI would be very helpful and reassuring as to how to make it happen. Your GUI looks really good! Gerald KG0VA
Parting mine out. Never worked from the day I purchased it new from Gigaparts.
This is a nice update to what I've seen for this radio. The original UI looks good at first but people I've seen using it, it definitely needs polish. If I wind up getting an sBitX3, I'm likely going to put this on there!
And in fact, I do now have an sbitX and will be doing this soon!
I see GigaParts lists this radio for sale on their website. Do you think it's better to purchase one of these radios from GigaParts or from HF Signals directly? Would there be and issues with warranty (or any other potential issues) one way or the other? Gerald KG0VA
Wow! Lookin' good. Really want to load this on spare card and kick the tires. When do you expect to release?
It’s already available. See link in description.
I found the github link. Didn't read the text. Duh.
Have you made your changes available to the public?
Yes. You can now find the link to my repo in the description details under the video.
@@FranklyRustic Thank you!
