What a wonderful interview! I really loved hearing his story about how he became part of the show. His music was such an integral part of the show. The Raven songs were the reason I started editing way back in 2001. I just wanted to make music videos with such amazing songs. 🙂 Everyone wants to know what happened to Deb... someday we will finally find out. Who knows maybe she will stumble across your podcast and say hello! ;-)

Not my favorite Zelazny book, but still an interesting read. The book reads better knowing that it is not really a "story," but an experimental prose poem that purposely plays with reader's expectations. The confusion is on purpose, and it works well. Zelazny never wanted to publish it. The real tragedy was that a bunch of excess copies were supposed to be pulped, and the publisher pulped Nine Princess in Amber instead. 😢

We all thought this show was a fever dream from childhood until we found it again In fact I thought the same about many other shows can you imagine being a child watching Red dwarf in 1985 on PBS and then finding again is an adult or the first time you saw something like farscape or lex for the younger generations yeah the best shows feel like fever dreams

This wasn't weird for the night I was eight and you have to remember in the '80s and the '90s we had access to much more adult material at that age so it wasn't unusual to have a murderous villain look at some of the weird movies we had back then like we were the kids that came home alone and cooked our own food and could go wander outside as far as we wanted until the lights came on and I didn't live where there any street lights so I didn't have that caveat The mixed tone of the show fit perfect for the era which might explain some of the differences between the generations loved this show we watched it when I found it on CZcams and I'm so glad that you're doing this lots of memories from life around the time that it was on TV

I've been raised most of life in Florida. Ger's southern accent made me laugh!!! I saw this many years ago and the thought makes me die!!!

This was the very first episode of FK I ever saw. I was about 12. I remember being fascinated by the vampires. I didn't see the other two seasons until a few years later on scifi channel, so I had no idea who Janette was. As a concept the episode was interesting, but after seeing who she truly was it is another episode that is hard to swallow. It's so out of character. 😔 Nick brought Janette back across because he couldn't lose the greatest love of his life and she chose to return as a vampire (thinking back to Near Death). She could have gone to the light. I always believed the painting was a symbol of forgiveness between them. I think in time she would have forgiven Nick and hopefully rekindled their love and "fall in love all over again."

Those tears at the end from Ger and Nigel were definitely real. I remember reading how emotional the cast got filming their final episode and how much they were going to miss each other. 😭 That scene kills me. I was an emotional wreck trying to rewatch it. It breaks my heart so much.

Thank you for all of your hard work on this podcast. I still have trouble rewatching Last Knight. That episode shattered my heart. I still believe the "leaving is the purest love" monologue came last after the stake. If you look closely you see LaCroix standing behind a kneeling Nick. They repeat most of his monologue except for that one at the end. I like to think it came after and LaCroix knocked some sense into Nick quite literally. LOL... then rushed Nat to the hospital and they move on to reunite with Janette. Last Knight was character assassination IMO. It was so far from the characters we met in season 1. The acting was incredible and I agree those were some of LaCroix's best monologues, but they just were so out of character much like Human Factor ruined Janette's character. She would never want to actually become human. She loved being a vampire. She softened in season 2 and came to understand Nick's quest, but becoming human was ridiculous. If she had been in season 3 the series would have ended very differently. I still think she was Nick's true love and always will. I agree that it was disappointing Nick only gave Nat a quick kiss before chowing down on her. 🤣 We know he's had plenty of foreplay with other female characters throughout the seasons some of which did look "below the neck." 😂 Baby Baby and Fatal Mistake come to mind... After 3 seasons Nick and Nat deserved so much better, especially for the diehard fans of theirs. Sorry this was LONG lol again great work on the podcast. The FK fandom is so lucky to have yall! 🥰
