Hi, I have a android unit for mercedes b 180 (2012). The screen not switch to camera when put in reverse. The screen have a GND and CCV 12V line. I connected the CCV 12V wire with the red one from the reverse lamp. Any idea why its not working?

Everything is working well. The only thing I cannot figure out is why the volume on apps like Netflix, TikTok etc is very low. I turn the volume up all the way on the viabecs, but it’s not turning up that loud? The music and maps work very loud. Any fix for this?

Did you install the protection glass? Did you first remove both layers of plastic on the screen?

I am debating between this and an Apple CarPlay module. Once this is installed, is there an firmware update that will allow settings within the original OEM head unit to be customized? As an example, the OEM head unit has a setting where the door locks can either all open when you use the key fob or the driver door only with the key fob or the smart key on the door handle. Changing the level of the back door hatch in the cargo area can be done through the OEM head unit daytime running headlights can be turned on or off within the OEM head unit. These are just some of the major ones that I would not want to lose access to, I did run a test where I took the negative battery terminal off of the battery to see if the settings stayed how they were programmed or if they would reset and they did stay the same as they were originally programmed in the head unit. I’m wondering if you guys cannot provide access to these essential vehicle customization OEM options if we just have to set up the vehicle the way that we want prior to putting your aftermarket head unit in and hope that the settings never revert back to a factory reset, as I don’t know where that information would be stored if it’s not stored Within the OEM head unit? As an example if I have all of the door locks set to open at the same time through the OEM head unit and I put your head unit in will that setting remain or will it revert back to the factory setting of just the driver door openingwith one push of the unlock on the key fob? If all of the functions that we set up in the original head, unit will remains stored on the main computer of the vehicle. I may be OK with that, but if they could ever be wiped out while your head unit is in and the only way I would have access to change it back is to reinstall the original head unit that is just unacceptable to me as I’m locked out of way too many features on this vehicle, I think you guys need to address this publicly as everyone needs to know what they are getting themselves into and quite frankly you should create a firmware update or an app to address this issue if you don’t have an answer. What is the use of FM1 and FM2 on the BAND? Does it mean I can preset different station for each FM BAND? 18 + 18 ?

I purchased a used 2013 Rav 4 and it works great except for the head unit. It won’t connect to Bluetooth and the navigation, hands free phone, don’t work. The regular radio, XM, backup camera and auxiliary port all work but I really wanted to use all the features. Should I try to find one at a salvage yard or eBay? Also you didn’t test yours to make sure all the features worked such as Bluetooth and navigation. Did yours have that? Thanks in advance.

They want more $ to diagnose the problem than what they charged me to install it. What should I look at first to diagnose problem?

It looks great, but how do you control many features in the vehicle that are controlled through the OEM head unit? Theres a ton of options that you really can’t go without that are accessible through the OEM head unit. Does this after market provide access to those options?

CAN YOU HELP ME !!! I am at my wits end. I purchased a very expensive head unit for my 2011 Ford Mustang made by Raxiom from the company American Muscle which sells after market parts for Ford Mustang. I paid $700 for this piece of junk. I contacted American Muscle and they are of no use. The unit work about 2 yrs and the car is very low mileage and hardly used. The screen started slowly to only allow some screen buttons . Now I cannot change the time of tone or GPS I have to use the sync system that is factory to the car to play music through my phone. I even went to BEST BUY they know nothing. What can I do to fix this before I have to buy a whole new unit? CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME PLEASE !!!!!

Thanks for the review and tutorial on the install. Because of your video, I purchased the same unit and it is working great! The only issue I am having is being able to hear my music from Spotify on the CarPlay in ALL the speakers. For some reason it is only playing in the front speakers. When I play the radio through the android section of the unit, all speakers are working and I am able to EQ the lows, miss, and highs. BUT, when I play music through the CarPlay section of the unit, the music is very flat with no EQ and it only plays through the front speakers. Have you had this same issue or do you know what I am doing wrong?
