Amazing fix, I did that to my new nanopad2 and it worked like a charm. I did to cut small rectangles for each pad, and use a few layers of tape, and also put an insulating foam between pcb and bottom case. Thanks for all the tips in the comments!

The donor pins won't come out without breaking. The first step can only be done in the Open position. Then the white part has a protrusion that has to go through a notch in the black part. They line up in the Closed position.

Hi ! great advise and video. Silly question here : I have some small mkp caps from Audyn/Jantezen and Mundorf, 1uF and 4.7uF. As those are quality parts and I could not get fast enough a quality electrolytic cap Could I use those MKP caps?

I had to use a little saw to cut the end off the broken white pin. The mechanism was hopelessly stuck in my heat sink. To make matters worse, the new pins came assembled! So I had to separate the parts...cheap plastic...making them vulnerable to breakage and distortion. Thank you for this good help. Terrible design! Deeply flawed design.

How to connect nanopad2 with cakewalk

Electrolytic capacitors are the suitable type here, just have to make them fit and find the suitable ones that fit. 0.1uF ceramic capacitors installed are probably C0G dielectric which doesn't cause a lot of distortion. X5R, X7R types that you get at capacities of 1uF and above tend to cause distortion, because capacitance changes with voltage and temperature a lot, just look at typical datasheets. Then again how much distortion? Mhm probs around -60, -70dB. Given this is hardly a HiFi device, this might not even register. Electrolytic are typically better than -100dB distortion, ideal for a 16-bit soundcard, like, you can do better, but it won't matter.

0.68uF mylar or SMD capacitors on 20k input are really enough for the Hi-Fi quality! Using electrolyte capacitors in the input lines is a big mistake!

I'm searching this video & simmilar to this thing (ceramic heater). In orders to remake my old ceramic mat heater mosquito repellent. It got burns on the wire & gets rusted. I wanna to remake this using white cement & bronze hard single wire to make it long lasting. But i don'f know what inside the ceramic. Is it only single wire attached in it, or something else in it? 🙏
