Loved living, studying, and working in the city then. You felt alive and alert. The grittiness!!!
I just love the fact that I can identify almost all the cars in this video, and they don’t all look alike like they do now.
Respect the squalor😂
Bangkok 1957-1958 👀🇹🇭กรุงเทพมหานคร 2500-2501 czcams.com/video/nUxgiSC9Ah4/video.html
🚇 metro then was RTD
🙋🏽♂️ Let "ME" Thank You. 🤝 *For That Look Over Life's Shoulder. ⭐️❤️⭐️
The only thing I miss is how fun was driving a car back then today cams watching u everywhere and u must drive like a fking robot
CZcams brother in the 1960s this will be the most highest quality at that era
LA in the 70’s was a good time, it was cleaner and people were more mellow. I drove those fruit salad colored RTD buses for many years. There were parts of LA that were rough but overall was very cool, I had very few problems with passengers and now there’s an assault on MTA daily.🤷🏼♂️
Looks worse than anywhere in the Soviet Union at the same time
The radio station was the best ever in the seventies
I wonder how common serial killers were in NYC back in those days compared to now. I’m sure there were 100s of em. It would’ve been so much more easier to get away with when compared to today.
The cars love those cars !!
NYC had more potholes than a little bit.
The trade center was completed in 1973 and I was between 9-10 yrs old.
AND WE LOVED IT!!!!!!!!
Ни одного араба, чистые улицы, Капитализм... как же хорошо было без леваков😭
What a great video. Different time, different era!
What a great video. Different time, different era!
Muito ruim de assistir com o nome "gettyimages" constantemente fixo no vídeo. 👎👎
Back when a used car was cheaper than a tank of gas today
You people are idiots! This is from a movie filmed in the 70s
The 1960's; the best music, cars, movies and ALL!!
Los Angeles area ruined by marxist democrats, immigrant invaders and homeless people allowed to use the streets to litter/piss/shit by order of the ACLU since 1980's. ACLU and civil rights groups are the groups that are ruining our lives.
What a delightful little MAGA you are😎😎😎.
@@antoniahamilton3201 Its the truth and look at the black and latino gangs vandalizing and trashing places with drugs/gang violence and homeless trashing/using the street as their bathrooms since the 1980's. Worse migrants making place like their own country; dilipadated building, etc.
@@antoniahamilton3201 you should re-phrase by saying delightful. Most of your reply doesn't make sense.
I live in Hollywood. I'm thinking of videotaping this exact route today as an update. Look for it within a week.
On December 21 of 1962, the 8-lane 405 freeway opened through the Sepulveda pass with a ribbon cutting, a caravan of cars and LA Mayor Sam Yorty arriving via helicopter to kick off the festivities.
This One Is Recorded on 1954 on 0:01
Another one is Recorded in 1949/1950 on 1:21
And Last one is Recorded on 1958/1959 on 1:51
A cop wearing a scarf? Someone said this looks like a clip from the 60s movie, Sex and the Single Girl?
This was Back when people were in the 70s
We've regressed.
1:51 Over 100 years old and still doing it with the same lineage - Musso & Franks. Shame on any so called Angeleno who hasn't ever dined there. You cannot comprehend the historically significant people that have eaten there. 🎬
MUSSOS IS GONE NOW I THINK ITS A DOLLAR STORE NOW
The Last Of Us 3 looks great!
Why are the cars on both sides of the road going in the same direction? If it's a one way street, why is there a double yellow line in the center?
The first Rodeo Dr was early 80's.
When the world wasn't mad.
This is definitely a jumble of stock footage clips from about 1985ish to about 2002ish. Not all 80s, but that's no biggie. Just shows how the more things change, the more they stay the same.
At 2:27 a Camaro goes by. I think that's me.
This driver was a jerk. Just look at 1:01 how he doesn't even bother yielding to pedestrians crossing as he is making a right turn.
we all die at the end sorry and why
The guy with the 70-'s porn mustache at 2:21 reminds me of a young John Oates. You also didn't see too many overweight people around. Now with all the fast food joints around, you see them on every corner.
Great one! I was 13 to 21 in those years and lived in Montebello. What a decade to grow up in. Nice music to set the mood too, thanks.
I remember that smog. you could roll it off of your skin at the end of the day.
Music from the film “psycho” !!!
Look like they had Smog's there too, A small Hog according Uncle Jed and Jethro
DBM FOREVER! ‘87!
Where can I find this footage in higher quality?
Thanks for a great trip back in time! I thought that little blue thunderbird was gonna get hit!!😮
its just diversity!
How is that the 80’s? The Hollywood/Highland mall wasn’t there in the 80’s. Did Sephora even exist back then?
