Hector and the snowman
zhlédnutí 38Před měsícem
Hector discovers a snowman. After a cautious approach, he decides to "own" it with his trademark leg cock! This was taken back in 2020. Sadly the old boy is no longer with us. He resides now at the bottom of our garden. His grave was full of huge boulders resulting in a six hour dig. Eventually he was laid to rest with his favourite toy on a bed of wild grass and flowers...All the world like a ...

Great day for all the families involved. Scottish Regiments have the most spectacular dress uniforms...not forgetting the Gunners, Lancs...and the Navy. The Bride and all the girls looked marvelous of course! This film was created by Sally Pendleton of Edinburgh

Excellent day after a night at the Clachaig (questionable beer!) We B&B'd it with John our host dropping us off and picking us up from the pub (cheers for that) Parked our vehicle at Clachaig and walked down to start point. The rest, as they say, is on the video! Also apologies to the lads for the corny music on stills.

Great wild camping trip, leaving Queen St station at 8.20 to Ft William then bus to Invergarry. We crossed canal and headed East over Glen Buck to bridge at base of Corrieyairack Pass. Next day it was to Glentruim (cadged lift to pub for pint) Day saw us pass Ruthven Barracks (the destination of the Wade road) up into Glen Feshie where we spent 3rd night wild camping. The lads decided to have a...

The crowds were out in force in Ayr to welcome the boys back. Job well done lads. We'll remember those who didn't return. I must add they are my old battalion (1RHF) As time goes by the memories and personalities keep interrupting the day to day, each time I hear of another one passing on I think Christ, were we so young, so keen. Aye, if they couldn't fight the enemy they fought each other jus...

Marvellous trip with the lads. We walked from Inverie to Tomdoun in Glengarry. Promised them a pint at the end only to find hotel closed down! Good mix of Scottish weather. Started by train in Glasgow and took West Highland line to Mallaig. Boarded a fishing boat to Knoydart ate in the Forge Inn and used bunk house for shelter. The only way out is on foot! We took basic but tasty supermarket fo...

Ailsa Craig trip June 2012

Superb trip organised by Hannah and Jim Corbett. Delayed a bit by 4 wind but we set off eventually. Girvan, on the Ayrshire coast, once a very prosperous holiday town, has suffered from the effects of decades of cheap foreign holiday destinations. Very nice wee town nonethetess...well worth a visit. Ailsa Craig is a volcanic plug with particularly dense granite still highly prized by the curlin...
