    Illuminating. I had just stocked up on Prismacolor blending pencils and my wife had orderd a Prismacolor blending marker for me. Now I see this and go hmm! Although the blending pencils are supposed to have the same wax used in the colored pencils, the white pencil just seems to move more smoothly and blend more effectively. Is it just me or are blues harder to blend anyway?

    I love my Derwent Blender ... I can't stand my Caran d'Ache Blender. We're all different on what we prefer. For me the Derwent does the most with the least amount of effort and I actually like the very slight scratchy feel but the Caran d'Ache doesn't do enough for more effort and I don't like the feel of them ... like plastic on glass. I've tried Blending with White but changes the colour vibrancy a bit too much for me. Great review though ... thanks!

    Thank you so much for this. I needed a properly detailed explanation on how to colour metals. Before, the way people made their metal objects appear shiny looked so random to me and I was anxious about a tiara I wanted to colour. Now I have some guidelines to follow. Thank you.
