Easy Braided Greek Headdress
Really easy braided Greek headdress commonly used for dancing competitions.
You can use ribbons, I have used turned through fabric to match the costume.
You will need approx 45" per strand.
If you are using ribbons, you can turn seal with a flame.
If using turned through fabric you can turn in your seam allowances and slip stitch down or you can top-stitch using a sewing machine. Thanks for watching, please subscribe and you can also follow me on Instagram, links on my mine page.

    This looks great! Do you think this works for applying a lighter color over dark? We have a royal blue tutu that needs to be or hid or lavendar

      Hi Joni, I think you would struggle, its harder to lighter on a darker colour, the only thing i can think of is spraying white onto the blue net and see how that turns out. Also, spraying a light pink may work but it will give a darker purple rather than lavender. Let me know how you get on.

    Does the color rub off of the band of the tutu onto the leotard or costume?

      Hi Jenna, no I haven't found that it comes off with the florist spray, you can heat set it by using a hairdryer if your worried 😊

    • @ktmcostumes8761
      @ktmcostumes8761 Před 4 lety

      I use florist spray, it is acrylic based and better to use on costumes where they are worn close to the skin.

      Just of eBay, type in inflatable torso. I just find it useful to add a form when I spray the nets when on the knicker.

      No, I'm actually from the Philippines and I didn't find that brand but I improvised and used the local spray paint in our place and it turned out perfect. Thank you so much for this video ♡

    Will it stay as it is after wash ?

    • @ktmcostumes8761
      @ktmcostumes8761 Před 4 lety

      I have nt had any problem with the dye coming off with spot cleaning, but I would n't recommend washing a tutu base as this can reduce the stiffness of the net. If you are washing the net I would only recommend a cold hand wash as the dye will gradually fade the more you wash it.

    hey due to spray on tulle does it hard the tulle ???

    • @ktmcostumes8761
      @ktmcostumes8761 Před 5 lety

      I have n't found that it hardens the tulle as florist spray is nt as dense as other spray paint. Obviously the more layers of spray you add the more likely it will. I would always recommend doing test pieces.
