Keep Yer Pants From Falling Down!
zhlédnutí 10KPřed rokem
I've decided to get healthier and doing that has helped me lose some weight, which in turn has made my pants too baggy. And I really don't like buying new clothes. I just end up using them while welding or gluing something up and they get ruined. I also don't like wearing belts - that left me with suspenders. But I also don't like the alligator clip style suspenders because they always seem to ...

I have an upgrade for the ol MS170 that although admittedly not cheap, is certainly a game changer. Order the Tungsten Carbide bar & Chain from Australia. (Well the chain is TC but conventional bars wont fit it so it comes with its own bat) Ive been using mine for quite a while and so far still plenty sharp. If anyone's interested ill go out and read the bar for the name of the company & ill know because ill have a notification in my phone that someone replied.

I don’t have any use for the term. When I hear someone say “DIY” I cringe and usually exit the conversation or move on to the next video. It has the connotation to me of a toddler tying his own shoes for the first time, except I have a little more respect for the toddler because he intends to eventually be able to do it well, as well as cultivate a thousand other useful skills , and because he is a toddler my expectations were already pretty low. When a grown man says he did something himself I think “great, you’re a 39 year old man; that’s what’s expected of you.” “Why are we talking about it, and why do you need to construct a persona around just doing regular man shit?

Nice Review! I had the Veritas but wanted more. I was lucky to buy a Florip dovetail saw and love it, I always think of him when I use it. Bad Axe makes some great saws and I am sure I will own one soon. BTW if you are needing more than 2 1/2" in a dovetail saw I would love to know what you are building. Tenons, well that is different. Best of luck!

Now there may be some of you who have gotten lucky with this tool. Sadly I must say I'm not one of them. Most of my tools are Milwaukee, Rigid, and DeWalt, so this was the first Ryobi tool I've ever purchased. Conceptually it is a brilliant tool, albeit much heavier than a comfortable one-handed tool should be. I fried it on a single weekend's job. It didn't even manage 150 crimps and started going bonkers, then she smoked and died. Just like that. First cordless tool for professionals that I've ever seen that happen to, and it isn't like there's much room for operator error. I mean, you push the button, the jaws close, then they open. Done. Zero skill required, and more importantly zero way to influence how the tool does its job since you have zero input into the parameters for its operation. So I returned it today, looked for a better substitute, and so far haven't found anything, which is really irritating, because for those crimps where it worked, I was a very happy camper and it is a tool I really need!

Looks like a 16". The felling dogs are nice but they will allow you to put too much leverage on the chain and bar on that saw. This saw has the green master link, light duty. Switch to the yellow, thicker chain and matching bar. Otherwise, there's a good chance the guide on the bar will wear fast, causing the chain to get thrown off. It's worth the upgrade
