    I’m going to be doing this on my daughter’s 4wheeler and was just curious how you moved the steering shaft from the bottom to where you placed the tie rods in the end

    • @rumorco
      @rumorco Před 10 dny

      Essentially I pulled out the steering stem, cut open the column, welded a bung to screw into and that’s about it. Only way to make the geometry work.

    • @kyleesheffield
      @kyleesheffield Před 10 dny

      I was wondering if that’s how you did it but also was thinking that it might become a problem to have a slit in the steering column if too much water and mud got down into it. Thank you for your video and response. Loved watching yall build this together. So wholesome. Do you have any plans for the rear axle now? I’m thinking about making a new rear swing arm and putting a longer 50cc axle with real brakes to match the width of the setup you have here

    You are the man!!! I have an 02 YZF-R6 & this is exactly what I need to do! Couple months ago my nut came off & luckily it landed in my bottom fairing, otherwise I would have never known it came off. I got a new washer & nut, it eventually came off without my knowledge & my bike wouldn’t go into gear all of a sudden... i figured there was no fking way it could be that because I just replaced it! Thought the clutch went out & that was that. Haven’t touched it in 6 months. Come back to it and realized how stupid I was for not even checking. Well done sir!
