Museums, roadside attractions, various mountains, ghost towns, historic towns and much more. I try to keep my videos very positive. We appreciate everyone who watches and interacts in a positive way.

Flushing Meadows World's Fair - Queens College Art Exhibits
In this narrated walking tour, we will be exploring Flushing Meadows Park grounds and some of the World's Fair relics that are still standing. Afterwards I will take you on a short tour around Queens college and a visit to the art center. Flushing meadows Corona Park hosted the 1939 and 1964 New York World's Fair. The park spans over 1,255 acres, making it larger than Central Park. So many of the structures built for these fares were temporary and have since been removed but several notable relics still remain today.
The 1939-1940 fair was officially known as the New York World's Fair. It was themed "The World of Tomorrow." It showcased futuristic ideas and designs, including the iconic Perisphere and Trylon and structures. During this fair television was first introduced to the public and it was showcased as a great technology of the future.
The 1964-1965 fair was officially named the New York World's Fair had a theme of "Peace Through Understanding." It featured significant cultural exhibits. It included the introduction of the Ford Mustang and the debut of Disney's famous "It's a Small World" attraction.
Queens College, City University of New York. located at 65-30 Kissena Blvd, Queens, NY 11367 is recognized nationally for its liberal arts and science programs. It occupies an 80-acre campus primarily located in Flushing, Queens and has a student body representing more than 170 countries.

Flushing Meadows looks very nice. I didn't realize that it was larger than Central Park. I think I just always know if from the US Open Tennis Tournament. Loved the tour and nice to learn about some of the history of the place. I thought your visit to the ceramics studio was very interesting as well. I hope you are having a wonderful week!
