Beautiful, thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it. A special song for a very special lady ❤

It’s the Old Celtic Cross on the Isle of Canna in the Small Isles
Great!
It is a beautiful effect to sing the third variation at the beginning of the recital 🙂
Outstanding......thanks.
Happy memories from Ostana ! Can I propose this song for a broadcast in Marseille ? Hope you went back safe.

Hopefully all subtitles have disappeared from re-plays. 😀
Coltas sgoinneil air a seo Fiona
Duilich airson na 'subtitles', that iad automatic!
Sorry for the automatic subtitles.
Bring back Gaelic
Just as I was finally getting around to learning this beautiful piobaireachd on the pipe, after many others, I found this. While not wanting to get overblown with it (no pun intended), some words that come to mind are transcendent, magical, pure light, fantastic.
Glad you like it. I learned the song from Angus Macphee of Harlow, Skye, a great piper in his own right, sadly missed .
❤
Excellente chanteuse. sa voix est vraiment magnifique. Elle fait partie de mes chanteuses écossaises préférées.
Gave me the shivers.
it's heavenly great
Kaixo, 0:27 ... 1:06 ? What do you say? What are you saying right now? Beautiful, it excites me. Besarkada bat!
Fantastic, Fiona!
Independence would destroy Scotland's economy - thank goodness it will never happen.
You know that for a fact do you Or are you just spouting Shite
hits different sung quietly then in gaelic...owch, breagh ...
You should do more videos Fiona.
Feasgar math.
Moran Taing I'm learning.
I've learnt a Welsh Language version of this song Blodyn Yr Alban.
aaah i need to hear this ! ye never hear welsh songs really , ireland and scotland thump it in your face but the welsh are quite humble and quiet , bless wales x ancient times the kingdom of strathclyde spoke welsh , if you don't delve into history yer no gonna get random surprises like that...wallace was a monk in training before he went rebel , studied at paisley abbey he would have been proficient in welsh , latin ,gaelic and whatever form of english back then if warring didn't stump his language education. please throw me some beautiful welsh songs
Wonderfully sung! Adorable voice!
This was incredible. Thank you!
Do they have this sung on TV in Scots Leid and in Gàidhlig at the end of the day time programming before News 24 comes on - just before a brass band version of Gods Save the Queen, perhaps - ? If not they should. It's really quite rousing and 'unifying'. There is no reason why both Gàidhlig and Lallans cant be celebrated in Scotland. Nobody's about to drop the language of the dollar. It will be fine.
No unfortunately, there is nothing played during programming. The national anthem used to be played at the end of evening programming but not any more .
I just found this, Fiona - Thank you so much for posting this up. Absolutely brilliant!
This is lovely!
Beautiful love story with the world.

TsuTami Glad you like my singing. Thank you for commenting.
What of the hive smoker in the picture at the beginning?? This is a fine production..thank you.
Woaw, you can speak Gaelic!! Where did you learn it from?
LallyBroch My children went through Gaelic Medium education and I learned it once they had all gone to school. Did a 2 year full time immersion course, no English, Mon-Fri, full stop. Then I worked for 4 years as a Gaelic Medium nursery teacher, using the language in a working situation. So Gaelic has surrounded my life for the last almost 25 years!
Fiona Mackenzie thank you for your answer. :) But i m wondering if Gaelic is still spoken higly in some parts of Scotland? I know that it isn't the official language of your country anymore. Its really sad for such a beautiful language to have been forgotten. :/
LallyBroch Gaelic is still the first language in many parts of the Outer Hebrides, particularly Uist, Barra and Lewis. You will often hear ot spoken in places like the big shops in Inverness where people from the islands come to do their 'big shop'! We have over 60000 Gaelic speakers still, in Scotland as a whole.
Fiona Mackenzie well, as far as i ve seen in the documentaries about the island life in Scotland, I think Hebrides, Orkney or Shetland are the places which traditional Scottish culture exists most. And 60000 is much more than i expected. :D
I just returned from a trip to Scotland and this song is quite touching to me. Though I am from the States, I have Scottish heritage and getting to visit the land of my ancestors was a deeply moving experience for me. I am eager to go back, Dia na thoiseach.
MOLTES GRÀCIES, X!
