Almost Knocked Out: Reviewing Mistakes From My First Pro Fight
Watching film is a must in boxing, but a lot of us watch other people's footage instead of our own to learn how to improve, one of the best things you can do to minimize your bad habits.
In this video I will be reviewing my own fight and going what mistakes I made and how I am looking to improve on those things in the future.

Awesome words of wisdom here, just hit 35 bucket list and best version of oneself for sure. Thanks for sharing, new sub let’s goooooo 🥊
🔥 🔥
I was 16 thinking I was too late to start now I’m 22 this video showed me it’s possible thanks man a true inspiration
Felt sorry for the opponent.
thank you for inspiring me champ. I sincerely mean that. I am a very true and dedicated boxer. I trained on Christmas day, and I was soon to make a pro debut in Rosarito, Mexico. Unfortunately, the age limit is 35. I won my most recent boxing match there on August 27, 2022. I'm a Masters Amateur boxer that is 52 years young. If God opens the right doors, it will happen for a pro debut. My fellow boxers Dewey Bozella and Paul "Rude Dog" Iannuzzi did it at 52 and won. I will never give up, even if I'm a Masters Amateur Boxer for life. Thank you, and may my Mighty Lord Jesus Christ always bless you, my fellow boxer and champion. 🥊🥊🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💖✝
Bud??
Congratulations brother did you have any amateur bouts or did you go straight pro
Thank you my fellow boxer and champion, Key. I sincerely appreciate your wisdom. I’m a very dedicated and true boxer- that even trained on Christmas. I’m a Masters Amateur Boxer that is ready, and seeking a promoter. Your story is very inspiring. May my Mighty Lord Jesus Christ ALWAYS bless you, Champ. 😎🔥🥇 🥊🥊🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾💖✝️
Incredible potential bro. Your post jab to lower body hook was absolutely destructive. Loved watching this
My first fight was 6 months ago.. right after my 38th birthday.
Always keeping it simple in your tutorials/tips. Love it! Thanks as always!
Don’t wide hooks work well too tho? Like Canelos left hook to the body or the head is pretty wide, so was Cottos and even so was Roy jones jrs. There’s a lot of fighters who throw wider hooks
You are definitely correct, but those fighters had control over the how they threw the hook and could throw a short or wide hook at will. Most beginners and intermediate level fighter may not have control over through a wide hook. This will help them gain more control so they can do both.
Definitely work on this move champ ✊🏾
Consistency is the key, if you don’t use it, you lose it. Footwork is very difficult to work on and master is something even the pros never do but if I could recommend anything to anyone new to the sport, repetition is key with punches but footwork and fundamentals is the difference in boxing.
Hey, I've just received my pair of Elite 2.0, and I was wondering if I expect it to stretch just a bit? As I have wide feet and it's a bit tight on the sides(at the widest part of my feet). (Length is perfect) Can I expect it to become a bit more comfortable after wearing it for a few times? Thanks in advance!
I could be wrong and I'm no trainer but you lower your stance probably rot momentum to punch I see i wonder if someone counters that I also see sometimes in yourniab you flinch your arm outside kinda like Ali
Keep them coming big dawg
What kind of pre wrap was that ?
It was a self adhesive gauze, but I am working on a video right now that can possibly make the wrap slightly easier and it will last longer
Appreciate this brother. Would definitely love to see more of these 💪🏾
You got it!
I just got the 14oz Elite retail gloves as a birthday gift. Do you recommend the retail gloves for sparring?
Na I dont recommend those for sparring.
@@keysessoms Is it because of the material of the gloves?
Not trying to go pro, but I do want to start boxing and compete just to get better at the craft. Do you think 30 is to old to start boxing in general?
If you are looking to just compete a few times and get better at the craft 30 is not to old.
I've just recently discovered Andre wards shadow boxing videos and they've helped me a lot. The best part is that's there is no ego, he's not shadowboxing to look good or to impress people he's really thinking and taking his time over technique, as a learner his shadow boxing is absolutely a great place to learn how to do it!
Agreed. For anyone that is looking to learn how to shadowbox properly I always recommend watching him.
Hey how do I practice the basics on the jab where I’m loose with my arm it seems too stiff
Practice not tightening your fist while hitting the bag.
Hi there , i started boxing yesterday and plan on to train 6hrs a week (3 times a week ) . I was obviously the worst in the gym but i want to become skilled and above average . Is it normal to be bad at the start and will i overtake the boxers at the gym overtime?
I dont know if you will overtake the boxers in the gym, but everyone started out not so good. If you stay committed and dedicated to the craft you will get better.
@@keysessoms thank you for the response 🙏 good luck with your career
Wassup god I just turned 27 I have some experience with fights in ny and the Caribbean. I know 52 blocks and want to learn boxing for the art and knowledge to box how do I go about this
Find a boxing gym and start training. You should pick it up fairly easy.
Can I use these shoes at the gym? Doing some light weight lifting, squats for example?
Yea you can. They are flat enough.
Excellent video!
Thank you very much!
Ik you wanna sleep shit just cause you look like bud 🤣🫡🫡🫡
Bro this video has helped me out so much! Thank you! I absolutely love the 12 (body) measure 2, and vice versa on the 2. One of my favorite combos to drill rn as I’m learning the basics
Your welcome. That is one of my favorites as well.
@@keysessoms could you maybe make a short liked his but with effective 3 strike combos? IE, one I’ve been practicing in the pocket is from Canelo where he throws a 3, 6 , 3 (body hook).
Wow! Straight destruction
Thank you.
WTF. Starting boxing late and social media. What a tool.
How many ozs are those😂😂
16 oz.
@@keysessoms they look like 18s to me what the
🔥
Thanks
Do you still work in retail ??
No I do not work in retail anymore.
How much do you make a year from boxing
I make nothing from boxing because I do not fight anymore.
💪 i see how relaxed you were how this was gonna go you was playing chess fam was playing monopoly or some shit
Thank you! I really was surprised I was that calm because I hadnt fought in so long.

Nike HyperKo 2
Awesome... Thank you... could you show another video how to wrap your right hand?
Yes I can
Nice!!
Thanks!
I’m so this keep my hands safe thank you for the video 🙏🏽🙏🏽
I will be making a video about another way you can do it.
🔥🔥🔥
thank you
Please post some more kur amatuer fights
I have to ask him if I can before I do
@@keysessoms thanks bro i wish he allow you
I’m stuck between these and the fly superlace x
I like these better. I think the fly has softer and maybe less cushioning. You can feel your punches more in the fly. Personal opinion I feel more protected in these.
This is a inspiration forreal I’m 31 about to start training to be a pro
You ever box before.
Can you post a link to the tyoe of pre wrap you used? Sorry if im asking a question thats allready been asked , abd thank you
I will put it in the description.
I’m 25 years old and want to start boxing, I don’t have no amateur experience what do I do?
The simple answer is find a gym, become a student of the game be committed.
@@keysessoms thank you!!
Hi mate. I'm just wondering what you think about moving both feet simultaneously on the jab versus stepping in with you lead foot and bringing your back foot forward whilst your jab comes back to your chin
I think it is all situational, but both can be useful to have in the arsenal
What’s a fight purse
Its how much money you make from a fight.
@@keysessoms thanks man
Shakur my shadow boxing got better watching him
Yea I really like his shadowboxing.
Do u use your more dominant hand to punch ?
I dont full understand the question, but if you asking what I think. I am right handed so my dominant hand is my back hand.
You use your less dominant hand to throw jabs and your dominant hand for heavier if that makes sense. Ur non dominant hand should set up your dominant hands attack. If that makes sense
