Charlie Who?
Again I'm just kidding with the title. Nothing but love for Charlie Parker.

Giorno's Theme (Il Vento D'Oro) from "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" has a burning sax solo in the fun key of G#m for alto saxophone. The saxophonist is Masato Honma, the same sax player as on the Mario Kart theme. This solo sounds like a cross between David Sanborn and Eric Marienthal if you want to dig into some other inspiration. ➡️If you want to upgrade your playing, click this link to get acces...

When you're casually Cannonballing your way through life

Sal Nistico burned down the house playing on "Sister Sadie" with Woody Herman and his Swingin' Herd. He sounds not unlike Cannonball Adderley but on tenor sax to me. Especially the "bounce" he has in his incredible phrasing. Just watching the end, I wonder if he liked playing saxophone, he seemed not too excited about it to say the least. But I am! What do you think? The original video for this...

When you actually can sing what you play feat. Chet Baker

Here is a double transcription! Chet Baker scats on "Just Friends" and plays a trumpet solo on it as well, live with Stan Getz in Stockholm 1983. Incredible to see the lines and how it compares to each other. You'll need to do a bit of transposing, I kept the scat solo in C but the trumpet solo in Bb, as that is the common standard for that instrument. You can shoot me later. The full video thi...

That melody sounds so African, so Nigerian. It reminds me of songs Ive heard so many times, yet it doesn't sound stolen.
Footprint? You mean he did not move?
Not just any EWI... it's a Steinerphone!
Mooi gedaan en goed werk zeg mannen van de scherpe 11 !!
Thanks to Allan. The blues are totally re-dressed. Holdsworth is a treasure of humanity.
I could listen to this one repeat... Is there a 10hour version?
Oooooh GW Jr and David Sanborn. Eargasms.
Reminds me of John Stowell
He was feeling the groove in a whole different way. Danced like he plays! Loved his music and persona.
wow this is terrible. my smoke alarm sounds nicer
You have an electric archtop guitar taped to your ceiling functioning as a fire alarm? Sounds cool but probably not the best chance in an emergency.
@@rkomada88 it def makes me want it to stop anytime it goes off!
lol why is it terrible?
Great~wow
probably how a matematician nerd with no soul or idea or sense of music would play, just technical, pure technical... meaning.. empty.
Serious jazz playing there. Kuddo to Kyle Poole who's listening to the soloist never fail.
Wooooo. Pasquale is always rippin'!
👍👍👍👍👍
i think hes more bud powell than charlie parker
Jazz isnt music.
This guy feels ai generated
He must have been a genius ! Who else could get away with $#!t like this ! I love it. 😎
My goodness Pasquale is wild! He's mapping uncharted territory in the limits of jazz guitar.
1. Christian 2. Parker 3. Chaplin 4. and the chocolate factory

Bit my finger
Lost my pick ;) simply 2 fast!

Chords are wrong but still a sick solo
Most beautiful lines I've ever heard
"Play something! 😃" "umm 🤭, sure 😬"
He played more notes in one minute twenty-six seconds than I've played over the last 30 years.
great phrasing
Pasquale is great -- with those super long fingers (unfair!). So fast.
His fingers give the optical illusion there’s like 6 of them. To the ears it sounds like 12😮
Somewhere Django is smiling…
Yes 0:46 Django style
Great transcription but the chords reflecting the harmony on top are wrong starting at the 1st minute.
Dude it’s “A Night In Tunisia” Everyone knows the chords.
True but it’s mildly annoying to watch the wrong chords being played
@@luke125 'dude' - it's still wrong . doesn't matter who knows what
@luke125 dude everyone knows the changes and that's why so many people realized he wrote the B section changes 8 bars early.
@@Distractionalist Fair enough
Great great
Why not!
This rates higher up the Scoville scale than anything I have heard before.
Does anyone know the name of the melody he’s playing at the beginning? because it’s almost identical to Sarah Vaughan’s Sassy’s Blues and I wonder who came up with it first?
Who told bassplayers to make those stupid faces? Just ridiculous....yes i'm a bassplayer
Thanks guys 🙏 I was pretty fortunate to play with this brilliant group.
This music causes diarea
Well that’s lovely
The late great Michael Brecker knew how to make a grown man cry 😢
❤
Some parts of this sound very good, but for the most part this piece makes me feel like something is very wrong. If that's the goal, then mission accomplished.
this shit is ass
Should try hitting all the notes. all 6 notes in all 14 frets the same time.
This is my kind of solo. Laid back but full of tension. Full of soul. Doesn't overplay. Hits the full range of the instrument. Has a great build up. Like David Gilmore on sax. Love it!
Idc how theoretically complex or technically hard it is, that sounded like shit
The only one at this level today is Claudio Quartarone. Unfortunately, fundamental aspects such as counterpoint are overlooked by those who focus on improvisation.
Feel that tension?! Great stuff!
Who calls blues in g-flat???
This isn’t really a blues, it’s mainly a vamp between 1 and 4 which is really common for funk, think I wish - Stevie Wonder or something like that
