Arozarena is already showing signs of decline, can't play defense, strikes out a lot and is a complete diva. Also. Do we really think he is going to hit at T MOBILE park the same way he hit in Florida? Those who think he's somehow going to save the Mariners are in for a big disappointment. Plus trading with the Rays hardly ever works out. That front office is one of the best in the game.

I don’t know how the poor offense play, and especially strikeouts have been this sustainable. Garver, Polanco, France, Haniger, Frazier, Wong, etc. are not some random bums the Mariners just claimed off the street. These are established players who were pretty good at one point. I think right now this all points to internal issues, bad luck can’t do this to you for so long. It just seems like it’s top to bottom from the coaching staff to the front office. Please don’t have an even worse offense in 2025 M’s!

The amount of strike outs is truly baffling. I have noticed, for awhile, how many pitchs on the plate get either missed, taken or fouled off. It doesn't happen much with opposing teams. I think our starters are so good that it appears to even out. However, when miss on the plate it's generally barreled.

I don't know what happened between spring and opening day. Everyone had a great spring, and not one player had that carry over. They all showed up opening day as if they had no spring training at all. It's literally like no one picked up a bag after the final game last year, and just showed up opening day. I just don't get it. However, is love to hear other player reactions to Teo's comments about hitting at Safeco. I know people weren't happy with Teo last year. However, just looking at the numbers, he gave you exactly what you should have expected from him. The problem was, he never seemed to be clutch. And there is a massive difference between 30 meaningless HR's and 15 clutch HRs. I can't believe they didn't bring him back if they weren't going to replace him. That chart is bogus fyi. Don't believe public estimations of any teams revenue. Atlanta is a publicly traded entity, go look at their books and see what I mean. Seattle also has the fifth largest baseball venue in the entire World. So attendance and stadium revenue are always going to be on the high side compared to places with smaller venues. However, teams like St. Louis have a lot more regional support and market saturation across the Lower Midwest than the M's do in the Pacific Northwest. The problem with the M's has never been the money, it's been the baseball ops folks not understanding who can and can't hit in the M's home park. Hardest of hard "NO!"s on Jazz Chisholm. He's just an okay player and he is not someone who should be in this clubhouse. I'm all for Vlady Jr but I'd rather Dipoto go out and get a quality OF like Rooker or Conforto than Jazz. IKF would be a much easier sell and much better player to bring in. "Swag" doesn't do anything for anyone, Jazz can stay in Miami.

Now let's move on to the second game in this 4-game series against the Angels. If the Mariners think that they are going to score 11 runs against this pitcher. They are going to lose. Because that pitcher for the Angels is very good. Yep, the Angels will come to play. Therefore, the Mariners just need to continue to play the type of baseball that got them to where they are now. That's strong pitching and even stronger defense. The hits will not come as easy. Therefore, they need to be very patient. And play Error-free baseball. until they break the wall of the other team. Just because a team beat another team the day before. Those runs don't count for the runs in the game that they are playing right here right now. Every day is a new day and a new game. Therefore, it starts fresh all over again with each and every game. If you don't focus on the game, you are playing in. You will lose.

The season is lost, time to accept it. The offense isn't good enough to win a World Series, and no amount of trades are going to fix it. The only way to fix it is to go all-in on free agents to plug in as many holes as possible. Trades can only plug 1-2 holes at most, and we currently have 5-6 of them. Plus, trading the farm means that you are back in the dumpster by 2027 when the core is up for extensions and ownership refuses to pay them.
