I flew from this airport this year, the place was a ghost town and is full of sanctioned airlines from Russia & Belarus.

They have been building this airport forever now. Only a handfull airlines might move there. If all move there, its not really accessible to the city centre. And most of the airliners are scared to move there because passengers might think of travelling through another destination if connecting.

The reason for the bridge is to connect west coast and transfer trade away from the residents on the east bank. How does the new port stop flooding in georgetown as you are claiming?
