Note: we recorded this yesterday in the workshop, so you may hear a little bit of background noise.

poor jack
Can someone in the name of the holy Bass God tell me what Sadowsky it is this man is holding? The wood and texture is magnificent...
When did he switch from Surh?
12:19 Output jack (^_^;)
The bit about seasonal movement is spot on. I bought my Sadowsky about 25 years ago from the bassist for a southern rock band because he didn’t like constantly having to readjust the instrument while touring the humid south of the US. He switched to a Modulus bass with a graphite neck, which for his purposes was perfect because the neck NEVER moved, and I got my dream instrument which has served me well ever since.
No nut adjustments?
At the 7:00 mark: Why is he calling it 2/32” instead of 1/16th?
Am I the only one who suffered thru the entire video looking at the gorgeous bass on the right hand side tripod on the edge of the cabinet and seeing the bass weight on the plug during the intonation sextion?
yes, great explaintions,,,, but after you adjusted your string heights, you never talked at all about pick-up heights, or dialing in string to string sound balance,,,,,
Thank you as a bass player of 20 plus years this is the best setup video I have seen I've seen other guys with 400,000 hits a million hits and that complicated and act like they really don't want you to do it thank you
Roger, you are a legend
But the tone of a guitar comes from the pickups and the speakers in an amp. The wood plays practically no part apart from sustain.
This was really helpful. I managed to get my action down to 2mm at the 12th fret which is perfect for me. Just one observation: if the truss rod is adjusted from the headstock end the rotation direction is anti clockwise for loosening and clockwise for tightening.
What a gift to himself and us. Thank you Chuck Loeb.
Thank you! The best bass set up vid I've seen. 😊❤👌
Howdy partner tide that bull,yeeha
Thanks for that great video - but please lose the antediluvian imperial measurements. And "2 and a half 32nds" - sheesh ! Metric is so straightforward.
From the man himself. Anyone who argues with this guy about electric bass is just making a fool of themselves.
Thats why i bought a metro .... love it
Im a Fender guy since the ear 80's as a young child! And I just love the look of your basses, like many, Jason Newsted is to blame lol! But you have some fine looking instruments, and hopefully one day I can get one!
beautiful
Great information. Beautiful instrument.
thank u as i use this on my fender 5 string so thank u alot ive also done setups for 6 years but this clarify what i have had question marks on
Excellent instruction... thank you!
Somebody really needs to invent some sort of easier way to do this. He says it’s not rocket science, but it is really complicated. It is very easy to mess this up and get buzzing everywhere. I have followed these videos to the tee and still get wicked fret buzz. It is also difficult to find an expert at this locally. Im in new jersey. I have tried every music shop within a 75 mile radius, no one can set up a bass properly.
At 3:50. What if you live in a house though and not an apartment?
Do Sadowsky basses still use Warmoth necks and, if not, when did they change?
This is excellent! Comprehensive but not overdone with great explanations. Thank you Sir!
I just want a bass you made Roger. I have played fender. All my life. You're basses. Rock. And thank you for set up info. I saw Jason newsted. With one of you're 5 string basses. 24. Years ago. I wanted one. My name is jaymz. in oregon
AMAZING, thanks Roger for this clear step by step guide! I managed to overcome my fears and getting my hands dirty with my bass guitars 😀
Beautiful playing. Thank you 😊.
Thank god. Was looking at the sadowsky… turns out no one but you realized it’s the Marcus Miller sound. Thanks for slappin’. Sounds amazing
Brilliant
How cool is Roger! I have learned so much from watching his videos. Thank you sir for sharing your knowledge.
I have LOTS of boutique and non-boutique guitars, but my Sadowsky T is one of the very best in every way: playability, incredible tone, versatility...It excels as a rhythm guitar and a lead guitar. You won't find a better T style guitar. And it stays in tune forever. It's the best kept secret in the market - and that's why I'm posting this review, 'cause a LOT more players oughta be playin' it! IF you wanna sound GREAT! (And I'm a longtime professional singer-songwriter and recording artist, an audiophile and tone aficionado, so I oughta know!)
Your messaging is in simple english, concise wording, great videoing exampling and relaxing calm voicing. Thank you.
i own this guitar now. its great
Haven't seen this in quote a while. Good reminder on how to manage your gear!
Anybody knows the name of the song Thanks
Came for the guitar, stayed for the musicianship
Im your neighbor in Queens. Where did you get the (black) Neck Rest? I'd love to purchase one. Great info presented here. Enjoyed it.

He was my first and the best. People today will never understand what a great guitarist and true musician this guy was. R.I.P. Chuck Loeb.
This is hands down the best bass setup video I've seen, well done! So many other videos rush through crucial details or don't go into as much depth as you have.
Tal Wilkenfeld brought me here
@sadowskyguitars do you have any published info about the electronics on this tele? Is it the same as his Signature Model?
So beautifully arranged and played.
