We’ve had our letter & here’s what they don’t tell you. IBESA & the work group people are being forced into a face to face interview when you get called in. 😢 not for folks with social anxieties or those who’ve had nervous breakdowns. You’re right about losing money. We’re going to lose £25 p/w when transition is over. Also, what they don’t tell you, some will have to fund the 1st 4 weeks themselves. If you save up to cover this and you as soon as much go over £6000 by 1penny you lose £250. Regardless if you tell them it’s to cover the 1st 4 weeks. They don’t care. Labour politicians don’t care as they are just following party policy to further their career.

If you receive PIP and you are on a legacy benefit such as JSA or ESA or Income Support you automatically receive PIP premium benefits such as Disability Premium, Severe Disability Premium, and if you are on the higher PIP rate Advanced Disability Premium. These three benefits are worth up to an extra £145.52 a week in addition to any legacy benefit you receive. If you are moved over to UC you lose these benefits. You will receive a Transitional Protection Payment but this reduces slowly to zero as your UC increases year on year. I was forced over to UC last November after my dad who I was caring for died. I had just received PIP a month before he died. I estimate I was about £200 a month worse off even though I get TPP. My point is everyone on PIP will be worse off under UC.

Something like 4 million left on legacy benefits it will still takes years for the transfer and by then they will change the DWP i mean seriously 2013 and still noting properly been done people are still on legacy benefits should of been done by 2018 proper nightmare ahead that's for sure UC is proper in the toilet same with PIP

  • @girlinthemirrorproductions8731

Because I challenged the CHDA writing legal notices and asked them to prove I had to be re-assessed for a second time despite winning my first mandatory reconsideration, they have refused to accept my argument and now I have no benefit at all! So I am now doing side hustles to earn money. I knew the DWP wanted to get me off ESA on to UC. Forget about getting any support if you are self employed, there are so many conditions attached its not worth it. I am now earning my own money, fuck em!

  • @wecandothiswarriors

I am on the ESA support group and PIP, but also work on the permitted work programme. I have not had any ;letters, I called them and I do not think they know what they are doing,as the woman on the call said that she was not sure when I would get a letter!!

How worried should we be? Although there have been over 500,000 cases of Oropouche fever recorded since the discovery of the virus in 1955, there is very limited knowledge of the disease. It has been described in an editorial in The Lancet Infectious Diseases as “mysterious” and an “emerging threat to global health” - but what we do know about it suggests there’s no need to panic. According to the CDC, most people with Oropouche recover within several days to a month. In rare cases (fewer than one in 20), it can progress to more serious disease, such as meningitis, encephalitis, or bleeding - but death from Oropouche is thankfully rare.
