I replaced mine but when I started it, I started hearing grinding sounds and immediately shut it off. You know what is it and how to fix it?
@@Delight22-fp it's probably the Bendix gear in the starter going out, it'll still work but eventually will go out and will need to replace the starter
@@accordinglytuned7172 you think? I mean is it brand new.
@@Delight22-fp if it's not OEM it could be likely, it's pretty common in Honda's to grind a little on start up, my Honda Fit did it in the cold for awhile but still started everyday.
Change air intake also clean map sensor
Some parts was hard to understand you because that music eas so loud next "tutarial no music plz
@@tooljunkie555 yeah sorry I don't put music in my videos anymore lol
The same happened to me when I went to unplug the knock sensor. It's the glue that fails.
Thanks for the vid. Successfully changed mine today without breaking the sensor lol. I was so stressed.
I am looking for a video that show how to replace the kickstand of a 2008 CBR 1000 RR
Im doing this. At this very moment. This is very helpful. However. This car is kicking my ass.
Do you have to have the dog bone rod with the triangle to lower the bike?
Hello, has anyone paired this with a Compustar RF2WR3FM long range rf kit on their Honda/Acura cars? If so, was it plug n play? TIA
Thx for sharing, how far is the range of the remote from the receiver?
It's the same distance of what the OEM remote does.
@@accordinglytuned7172 thx
Link to the cruise controls from works bell?
For the knock sensor you’ll need a 24mm socket preferably a deep socket! Doesn’t have to be very tight when you screw it back in just snug!
Left my knock sensor in and then broke it taking the starter out lmao
@@chasetuter8048 gah damn lol, I tried my best not to break it, I put my hand on it and boom broke
Where can I purchase the starter ?
Rock auto
Good stuff
Thank you! Helped me out a ton
Cool mod! Does it work on 97 CRV’s cassette radio? Do you also notice a lag in the audio when you watch a video?
This is the video you wanna watch the video they provide is trash. This guy is the goat
I cant seem to find the brake hose with the parts number provided. Do they still have it?
Great video. I would suggest checking them before ya loosin. All the valves won't be off. I have found usually the exhaust valves tighten the most. But there may only be a few that are off. This is a back breaker job. So the less ya have to do the better.
Very well done.
i have a 1998 CRV and i calibrated the intake to .010 and the exhaust to 0.18 and the they were noisy , any recommendations
Naturally these engines are a bit noisy, but you can go a tad bit tighter on your valves and it should be quieter if not then maybe your valve seats are already too worn.
@@accordinglytuned7172 i appreciate your help thank you very much
You got a link to the Bluetooth unit?
If you search on ebay "Bluetooth AUX Audio Cable Adapter Fit For Honda Civic Odyssey Acura CL EL MDX TL" It should pop up, I do have some issues with it when it's super cold here it doesn't connect sometimes until the car warms up is the only issue I've had with it so far.
I have the same problem, check engine light flashing, after i cleared the codes, and start the car and drive for one block, i dont know, if that was a coincidence or not, but the car running fine, no misfire symptops at all. Shifting accelerating very good, everythumg is.new like less than a.month: spark.plug and spark plug wires, cap rotor, coil, ignitor, i had this problem before two years ago after instart the engine, the car was chaking a lot, and the check engine light start flashing, that understandable, not this time.
Yeah I found out that it's normal after you clear the codes and drive a little bit and it'll go away! Everything has been running good ever since I did the valve lash!
Just installed in my 2013 Honda Pilot EXL, took 30 minutes. Now I can start the car from my kitchen. Works as advertised and worth every penny.
Thank you for the video!

trying to get for my 2005 honda pilot!
Did you get and how much you spend
Dude, thanks for this video. my squeaky belt was driving me insane, tried new belts, pulley alignment, even replaced tensioner/idle pulley, nothing worked. My mechanic couldn't figure it out either. I just sprayed some CRC conditioner and it disappeared. going on 3000 miles, will spray again in the spring for preventative maintenance.
My Pilot wont lock using the key fob. Unlock/trunk release work fine. Help plz.
Reprogram it, follow the instructions.
Yesterday i installed remote starter for my rav4 2009 euro spec diesel. It was easy one ignition cable and one obd2 and program. Mine was pts not key.
What brand ? I have a Mitsubishi push to start and every kit is not compatible
My green LED light won’t turn on
Same happened to me, I just skipped that step and it worked anyway.
All shit!!! 😂 for a response at the end of the video... was sensational.
Would this work on a 2006 pilot
i bought the start x and it didn't fit the green switch, there must be two different sizes, it was slightly too big and would connect
There is a green plug on top of the steering column, that is the small one. Go around and down, you will find the white plug, at least mine was white, that is the plug you want. And I am NOT talking about the HUGE white plug. I was a little confused on this too.
When you try to turn on with the key, does it also work?
If you turn with the key it'll work normally. If you remote start it and turn it over ign while running it doesn't do anything.
Thanks man.
EASY FIX ---- guaranteed ---- dielectric grease ----- just two inch long applications on the drive belt in 2 areas (naturally on the ribbed side of the belt).
dialectic grease for me worked for a few days but noise returned. CRC conditioner going strong for 4 months now.
Just so you and everyone knows… coolant/antifreeze ALWAYS runs through the heater core on pretty much all vehicles including this one. You don’t actually have to turn the heat on. It’s unnecessary. A door on the inside of the car simply closes and blocks the heat after the heater core and before the vents when you don’t want heat or use cold air.
FALSE. Almost all Hondas have a heater control valve on the firewall that completely shuts off coolant flow to the heater core when the heat is not on. The valve doesn’t even start opening until the interior thermostat is set to high 70s and won’t fully open unless the thermostat is set on high.
This would of been great if music wasn't blasting..
Do not use belt conditioner on your belt. This product is very sticky and can make the noise worse. This guy does not know what he is doing. You’re taking an advice from a guy with a CEL.
Thanks for not showing the direction of the crankshaft turning and the TDC marks lined up 👍. Fire yourself as a Teacher.
Feel better? Guy produces a video for free and your first thought is he's a terrible teacher? Sorry, did you pay him for this? No. Miserable little troll.
He is a fool , misguiding the innocent. Shame
That 14mm bolt is hard to break loose. Any suggestions?
Try to use a breaker bar or an impact, mine wasn't really that hard to remove.
Regular socket and ratchet. Place ratchet under wiring. Cycle ratchet handle to lowest position. Get 12" pipe or longer that will fit over ratchet handle. It won't move much, but enough to break it loose enough to finish loostening.
Did you need a computer? It was it all plug and play?
Yup all plug and play you just need to go through the programing afterwards
Hello, once the valves go out of spec the burn out very easy so do the seats this is a trait of the B20Z1 engin.
Removing the intake manifold is the easiest way to replace the starter just replace my si starter took me 2hours including going to the store to buy a new one lol
i would advise against leaning over a running engine wearing anything with dangling neck cinch cords.
Thanks man, I watched a video that if you hit the starter with a hammer the car should start and it did. So now I know it’s the starter that’s bad 😢 I’m glad I found your video so that I can attempt to do it too, thanks for the info for the sensor I’ll be careful and take my time with it.
Did the same exact thing 😂
Great video. Thanks for putting it together. I have a 2001 with 160k miles. I don't think i saw you check the clearance before loosening the locking nut and adjusting the clearance. Do you, in fact, check the existing clearance first? Is the problem that the clearance grows over time or shrinks? Also, about how sensitive is clearance to the rotation of the center screw. I can imagine it would be difficult to hold the center screw perfectly in place while adequately tightening the locking nut. If it moves a few degrees, is that going to change the significantly change the clearance? Is there a specific torque setting for the locking nut? Thanks.
You can check the clearances before you start but I was already doing this job so no need to check beforehand unless that's all you're doing is checking to see if you need them adjusted. When I checked them in the video all of my exhaust valves were all too tight, over time they get tighter on this car which is a common problem. It could get as bad as burning a valve because it is too tight! You can tighten the locknut down and recheck your clearances afterwards it is a little sensitive, but you'll start to get the hang of it after doing a few valves. Torque specs for the locknut is 18lb-ft
