Life Cycle Well Integrity of CO2 Storage Wells: Engineering Imperatives for Success
zhlédnutí 639Před 2 lety
Geologic storage of CO2 has gained significance, largely due to it being a green-house gas (GHG) and concerns related to impacts on climate from GHG emissions. The literature and experience from industrial analogs indicate that wellbores (both active/inactive or abandoned) may represent the most likely route for escape of the injected CO2 from the storage reservoirs. Therefore, sound injection ...

it's amazing such original fact-based model has been quite ingnored by mainstream. Mainstream emphasize proppant like conventional fracing and sand truck crashing the road in Permian.

I wanted to share my vision on the future of drilling because it is on a level that is about to change the way it has been done forever. It was so simple and so cheap it defied logic almost to the point of it makes you laugh at its simplicity. I was stirring this morning between that sleep state and consciousness and it just came to me but it was so radical I kept on looking at it thinking that is too easy and no one is going to buy it as in embrace the change and level of technology that as I said defies belief. Imagine a nano-bot, yes we know what it is, but we're still exploring its potential. Well one of its applications is that it is the perfect solution for all majority of all our "Drilling" needs. Which is why I wanted to explain vision and how extraordinarily it worked so much so from corporations to the handyman is going to be able to use it. For the last couple of days I've been putting up items that I needed to fix to the wall and as we all know we reach for our drill, and choose the size drill bit we need, and we go and drill our hole. So why is this so different well you would use your laptop as a communication tool to engage the nano-bot. You would place the nano-bot on where you have marked out the centre and then you would instruct the bot to remove the first particle and obviously the nano bot will have to be equipped with nano-bot tools. This is where for once graphene could be used to create the very tool to be used. I chose to make this as simple as I could because if you complicate something too much then no one understands it. I said to my wife this morning is a dot? Masculine or Feminine and I turned to her and said its a trick question as it is both. As with zero and 1 are the perfect expression of the two. So imagine that you are in a farmers field and you're driving a bulldozer and you want to create a track in the ground. So you bulldoze the bit in front of you and then another team of helpers come to clear always what you have extracted out of the ground. So The nano-bot is the worker with his tool which is the bulldozer and his other helps are the ones who clear the rubbish out of his path. Here is where it gets really cool. Because what you discover is that depending on the size of the hole will decide what size worker and tool will be required. If you get what I mean. So if we're talking on the microscopic then this works fine. What we have to understand is now we can not just diamonds, but we can take it to the next level. Apparently there is something that is 6 or 7 times stronger than graphene and imagine a nanobot equipped with that. It would revolutionise the way we create the perfect hole through whatever material and substrate it happens to have. There was talk of lasers cutting holes and tunnels through rock, this is even better because of the cost is fractional, and the waste produced is minimal. So let me try and describe how the nano bot does all of this and then pushes the cylinder out perfectly leaving you the perfect drilled hole. It will affect and alter how we do what we do now, to what we will be able to do at a mastercraftsmen level.
