    I have two Jukis. One is the DX 7 which is perfect for traveling with. I love that it has a slider tab that you can cover the edges of the sewing slot so it becomes a single stitch plate. My other Juki is the DX 3000 qvp and it’s amazing! It has a dual drop down feed which is awesome for quilting and binding. It has 12 inches of throat space. I don’t like how it FMQs though😢. But it’s great for straight quilting. I love both can be made to cut and raise the foot when you press the cutter, or other options can be made on the pedal. I agree their walking feet suck. 😂. But the drop down dual feed is amazing.

    Hi …loved your video ….i too have the Juki 2010…I agree it’s a power house….but I’ve had some issues with the automatic thread cutter…which for me can be a deal breaker. I’ve used thus feature from the machine itself..little scissor button…it causes jamming in my machine…Very fruststing…so I’ve just stopped using that feature…disappointing but no longer have jamming! Just thought about your comments..maybe I will try using the peddle to cut my threads…hoping this works! Also what type of thread do you prefer? I’ve been told to ONLY use Glide thread (Juki Junkies)which is an embroidery thread in both the bobbin and top. I’ve been using that but not always do I want a shinny decorative thread. I Would appreciate your thoughts on thread recommendations….i sew on many different machines…teaching the craft as well…but this machine is new to me and I’m a bit confused by a few things…thread choice…cutter…and also the extra lift…which everyone seems to brag about…is it normal that I can just use the extra lift when my knee lift is engaged? Without the knee lift..I can barely get anything slightly thicker under the foot? Would really appreciate some input on these issues…getting a bit frustrated….happy sewing to you!🩷

      @matantequilting Před dnem

      I'm sorry to hear that your thread cutter is giving you trouble - that sounds super frustrating! Have you contacted your dealer about the issue? I use Aurifil 50 wt cotton thread in my Juki and have never had any issues with it (or any type of thread I've used). As far as I know, the Juki TL series doesn't have an extra high foot lift (at least mine doesn't). My Janome does have this feature which is really nice for bag making, but I tend to make all my bags with my Juki (and just shove the layers under the foot). Happy sewing!

    Funny how the use of the word "scraps" is so different for all of us. The stack of fabric chunks you picked up and called your scraps, to me would be huge chunks of fabric. My scraps are random pieces that are quite tiny by comparison.

    Thank you for this very informative video about how you use each machine for the various quilting steps. As you stated, we’re all different in our likes and dislikes. I used to own a Janome 6700P and found the Accufeed Flex System to be cumbersome and annoying to set up! I’ve always loved Pfaff’s IDT system for even feeding the top and bottom layers, so I traded my Janome 6700P with a lady who had a newer Pfaff Quilt Expression 4.2 that she’d bought for quilting but wished she’d bought the 6700P because it’s such a workhorse. We were both very happy with our decisions and never looked back. I’ve owned my Juki TL-2200 QVP Mini since they first started selling them in 2016, and it’s my workhorse for everything quilting, including FMQ king-sized quilts. No regrets at all with that purchase. I paid $899 for it in 2016.

    Lovely video, I own both of these machine that you presented to us. But I have purchased a Brother BQ 1350 and Brother BQ 3100 and love, love, love them both. Because they both sew beautiful and is very user friendly. I left my Janome 6700P at the Dealer on consignment hoping it will sell if not then I will use it as a travel machine or give it to my daughter or grand daughter. It’s a great machine, but it was not user friendly for me. Having to go through that little screen to find whatever. And never was able to save any stitch to recall for later. But my Juki it’s a keeper I love it. I have had it for about 6 years now. And I also have a GAMMILL Longarm Vision 22 retro fit w/Elevate. But, love the way your binding looked by machine. Wanting to know if you will consider doing a video step by step explaining your process. I love how you did not have a lot of excess on the backside of your quilt. Thanks in advance.

      I tried everything. You'll just have to trust me when I say that this machine simply will NOT quilt without tucks and puckers. Oddly, it can sew through the many many layers when I make bags! 🤷

    Do you use your Juki for bag making?

      I sure do! I used it for every step of the process (except the quilting), and it does really well with super thick layers. It's a beast! 💪

    I have a very similar setup. My Juki is the TL98. I’ve had it forever, and like yours, it just keeps going. I can’t see myself ever giving it up. My Janome is the Continental M8. I really like this machine. It’s my first Janome. The Accufeed is great, the stitch quality is great and I have a lot of throat space. There’s a lot of metal in the machine. In some ways it reminds me of the Juki. I also have a longarm, but I can use the Janome to quilt projects if I want to.

    Do you get a full 1/4" or a scant 1/4” with the Presser Foot w/Guide on your Juki? I have the same Juki and i love it! I guess i lucked out because my walking foot works great.😊 Thank you for this great information!

      That's awesome that your walking foot works well! 🙌 The Janome 1/4" foot that I purchased for my Juki is indeed a scant 1/4". Perfect blocks, every time!

      My other machine is also a Janome, which i love! Not the Master Craft, its the HD 5000. Great mechanical machine. 😊

    I have a Janome that needs to be “adjusted” for$100.00 each time. Today I watched a video of someone repairing a tricky problem on a featherweight. It took him a long long time to figure out how to fix the problem. When people have a persistent problem I believe the repair person is not persistent about fixing it. For my machine it goes out of “adjustment” for a reason. It is not my fault or the machine’s. It is like finding a good vet for my dog.That took four years!

    You can buy Jukis in Canada from Troll Brothers Quilt Designs as well. They are located in BC in Vancouver Island.

      Whaaaaaat? This is big news to me! I did some research prior to this video but I was clearly wrong. Anyone else know of any Juki dealers across Canada that sell TL machines? Please share them here!
